Chase and “Occifer Cinnamon” are finally here! And what a meet-cute. Chase was having a terrible day, one of the worst of his life, and he drowned his sorrows with too much imbibing. But our boy is smart enough to not drive under the influence and was sleeping it off in his truck, which is where Officer Gallagher sees him. Even in his inebriated state, he's nothing but charming and adorable, which is why Hannah Gallagher jumps at the chance to be his roommate when she sees his ad.
Chase had a less-than-illustrious beginning, ending up in jail after running with his too-wild brother. But after losing everything, doing his time, and making restitution, he's been embraced as family by the guys and gals of Reynolds Restoration. But a cop and a convict, how does that even work? In this book world, it works especially well, until trouble shows up.
Chase seemed very young in the previous books, but our boy sure has grown up nicely. He and Hannah are both authentic and vulnerable, and so freaking sweet together. I love the found family aspect of this series. Hannah is welcomed as one of the family, and everyone has her and Chase's back when problems arise. If you like an emotional romance with eternally endearing characters, a little steam, and tons of heart, you'll absolutely love Chase and Hannah's story!
