James Montgomery Boice was a Reformed theologian, Bible teacher, and pastor of Tenth Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia from 1968 until his death in 2000. He was also president and cofounder of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals, the parent organization of The Bible Study Hour on which Boice was a speaker for more than thirty years.
Well, today’s the day! I finally finished the last of James Montgomery Boice’s magnificent work on the Gospel of John. This series has been taken from 270 sermons preached from the pulpit of 1st Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia over a period of—I believe–eight years. Amazing! Well worth listening to and taking—as I did—copious notes. I’m moving on to another of Pastor Boice’s works…I just need to decide on which one!
