David knows he has to keep Jack Parrish happy. The man's got a laundry list of criminal behavior behind him (and in front of him), thanks to his MC, he's got power, and David's on retainer. So he's who David blames for being stuck with his college nemesis, Vanessa. But he's not the same man he was back in college. He's a successful lawyer, he's got the moves in the bedroom, and Vanessa will eat her words. Right?
So much going on in this story - fun, heat, suspense, and two awesome characters I was rooting for the whole way through. David is so cocky and when he gets ensnared in Vanessa's orbit again, the sparks flew! Though they were definitely nemeses at one point, their chemistry was obvious even through all their antagonism. I am loving this series, and am now on my way to download the next installment, Dirty Deeds.

This was my first book from this author and I enjoyed it! This book follows David and Vanessa who were friends in college but are torn apart by bad choices and family struggles. Fast forward, Vanessa is David’s Uber driver one unfortunately night and their lives continue to tangle up as the story progresses!
There was a lot of heart in the one and some funny one liners that made me laugh out loud! I loved David’s journey in the story. He really grew and grew on me.
I wish there had been more time shown between David and Vanessa in present day or in the past for this Romance though!
Overall, I would recommend if you like reformed playboy and morally grey characters!

David is a successful lawyer who is deserving of his reputation as a shark when it comes to his cases. He now finds himself on retained for Jack Parrish and the Satan’s Knights which brings Vanessa back into his life.
Vanessa has had to be strong and resilient because of her past. The last thing she needs is for David to come back into her life as she didn’t like him then and she isn’t about to like him now but he is determined to prove just how wrong she is.
Hot chemistry, humorous times and plenty of emotion as our visit to The Satan’s Knights doesn’t disappoint.

David Schwartz has become #PropertyofParrish, and his life is quite interesting & quite frustrating because of it while I was very much entertained LOL! He's trying to live his life as a playboy & top defense attorney while dealing with Jack Parrish, and on one of those occasions is when he gets a blast from the past. See, he's on his way to one of Jack's guys when his car gets a flat so he has to call for another car, and when he gets in said car, it's Vanessa Pierce at the wheel. They went to college together both trying to become lawyers, and let's be honest, it was with her help he even became an attorney. However something happened which had her dropping, and he was so pissy about what she did to him before she was gone that he never really thought about finding out why. Man, Vanessa had gone through the fire since she dropped out, and I found my eyes trying to leak more than once. Turns out they keep running into each other, and it doesn't take long before he realizes that she's still who he wants but there are some serious complications. I LOVED every minute of this emotional story with a kicker of Parrish humor, and I know you will too after you hit those one click buttons so I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The man certainly does have a really interesting and complicated life. His life is in the courtroom a lot but man oh man is he a real charmer with the ladies. They love him, and he just is as happy as can be being the playboy he is trying to be when Jack Parrish will let him. After all he isn't the top defense attorney for no reason at all. However when he is called while on a date with one of the Vouge models he has to leave because Parrish is calling and needs him right away. When he hops in the Uber he gets a blast from the past by his arch enemy Vanessa Pierce. She is the woman that helped make him the man he is today. However as smart as she was she had to drop out of college and he never cared to find out why because he was really just a foolish little boy back then. This is a woman who has really been through a lot since she has dropped out of college and her back story will really break your heart. He wanted her no matter how much he fought it back then. But, on Uber ride and he still knows that she has always been the one woman in all the world he has ever wanted. These two have quite the story to tell. I was so hooked I didn't put the book down. I loved how this was a complicated little love story and I loved even more that we got to see Jack Parrish at his finest and best. It's always a special treat when we get to spend time with The Satan's Knight we fell in love with in the beginning.

Another great story by Janine Infante Bosco. This was a great side story with Dirty Deeds as the story line went along with Dirty Deeds but had its own path. David Schwartz is a powerful lawyer following in his father’s path with the family business. He is on retainer by the Satan’s Knights MC and seems as though he never has any down time. Jack Parrish and the Satan’s Knights keep him pretty busy. He doesn’t have time or the inclination to settle down or date on a regular basis. His life’s too busy and he hasn’t found anyone that piques his interest since college.
Vanessa Pierce is struggling to get by in life and help her father with her nieces that he has custody of. One tragic night left the girls orphans and one catatonic. Vanessa and her father are doing the best they can, but health issues are plaguing her father and money is tight. She won’t give up though and a chance meeting one night on the side of the road Brooklyn Queens Expressway puts the man she had deep feelings for in college back in her path and nothing will be the same again.
I loved this story of David and Vanessa. Fate has a way of putting people in our lives when we need them most, even if we don’t know it. David was a man focused on his work and nothing else mattered. He defended people that probably shouldn’t have gotten off in the legal system, but he had put his conscience aside years ago. However, one woman and two little girls opened his eyes and brought his black heart back to red. His life would never be the same now either. I love to read stories of second chance love, men that can’t seem to open their eyes or their hearts only to have it broken open and their eyes to see the light by something that they never thought would happen to them. This story is a great one to show that. I loved the characters and Cecily was a bright light that could bring anyone to their knees add in a little girl that looks so broken, how could anyone walk away and say they don’t care? I give this book a 5-star review and I am looking forward to more books by Janine Infante Bosco.

I just finished my binge-read of the first three books in The Satan's Knights Universe Standalone Book series this morning and maaaaaaaan what an awesome ride that was! I couldn’t read them back-to-back-to back, but close enough, and I was ridiculously giddy!
Cease & Desist was a fun read even thru its tragedies. I like that about the story the most. The author made a choice to make the story hopeful instead of heavy-hearted at every turn, which she could have easily done and accomplished the same story. I don’t think that’s the easiest of paths to take with a story that has this much tragedy to its past and present and I commend Janine for making that choice and doing it perfectly. I felt deeply for Vanessa and her family, but it was never a feeling of deep angst, just sorrowful maybe thru some of the plot points but the overall essence of the story was always just hopeful. *happy sigh*
I like Janine’s style of writing. I’ve only read a few of her books on her backlist, but she’s been on my radar since back in 2020 when I found her. My kindle has all kinds of titles by her just waiting to be read one day hopefully soon!

Cease and Desist is David Schwartz’s story. He’s the Satan Knights attorney and he’s as cocky and arrogant as they come. He loves being on top. He has impeccable taste in clothes, always sets out to win, never loses until she comes back from the past. This beautiful women Vanessa Pearce, an old college friend, that he’d never truly forgot.
Her tragic situation draws him in but puts his career on the line. Their friendship, the interaction with the Knights and the heart wrenching situation she’s put in he wasn’t prepared for. Can he step away and be the man she needs? Can his ghosts stop him from being that man? This angst story is one fantastic page turner.
Ms Bosco gives us the character we’ve wanted to rip apart for his treatment of our Knights. His smugness was infuriating but then she turns and gives him a backbone, a past filled with no love that has molded him into someone we hated that we’re now fighting to see win.
Cameos from Parrish, Wolf and the brothers is just the icing on the cake.

David Schwartz always wins, he hasn't faced a case yet that he didn't come out on the winning side of... but when it comes to mending fences with former flame Vanessa Pierce, now that's his toughest challenge yet!
From the get-go Cease and Desist had me hooked, it's well penned words grabbed a hold of me and just wouldn't let go! From their first interaction I knew this was going to be a good one, they had this intense hate-filled thing going on and I just knew that meant serious sparks later on... and oh boy was I right! I really loved the secondary characters too, those little girls had my heart at first meeting. This one definitely left an impression, one that will have me coming back for more! Highly recommend!

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series, and this is David and Vanessa’s story. David Schwartz is a successful lawyer, who is cutthroat in the courtroom, where he ensures that everyone gets off when he is on the case, which has him on a retainer for Jack Parrish, and when Parrish calls, he expects David to jump. Vanessa was David’s college nemesis, and when he ends up crossing paths with her again the sparks fly. This is a well written story which with Parrish in it, guarantees a fun, and humorous storyline. This story is filled with suspense, danger, intrigue, witty banter, emotions, family, heartbreak, and love, which leads to an entertaining and steamy riveting page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Vanessa was a college adversary of David’s back in the day and now that they meet again the chemistry is sizzling. Their story was full of love, laughter, heartbreak and more. It was one of those books that was easy to read in one go. Now I’m off to read the next book in this series.

As soon as I heard Schwartz was getting a book, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. He's been a side character in the Knights world for quite a few books now and I was curious to find out more about the lawyer with the reputation that always precedes him.
Once again this author far exceeds anything I could have imagined. The story is filled with love and loss, laughter and tears and plenty of hope along the way. My heart ached and was mended more than once. I couldn't help but laugh at the antics of Parrish.
As always, JIB is a one click author for me. This story is just another feather in her cap of awesomeness.

Who are David & Isobella? How do they know one another? Where are they? What happens? How does Finley know David? What does Parrish want? That guy is a NUT!!!! How does David's night go pear-shaped? What happens? Who is Vanessa? What do we learn about her? Who are Pops, Cici, and Lily? What do we learn about how they came to be with Pops? Who is Jeffrey Peterson? What does David's father ask of David? What havoc does Jeffrey cause in this story? What does David end up doing and saying to the DA and a judge? What is the outcome? What does Finley tell David? I could not stop smiling as I worked on finishing this story!

Who knew a cocky jerk of a lawyer would get underneath my skin like David does? I mean I love the guy from the first moment he showed up in previous books. Because of how he was raised, he comes off cold, careless. I never knew he had a past with the way he act, but when Vanessa showed, it was a done deal. I finally get to see the guy he was supposed to be, the good guy, the considerate person. I love it all, witnessing David falling in love with Lily and Cecilia plus Vanessa was worth the wait. Thank you, thank you author Janine Infante Bosco, you've redeemed David Schwartz in our eyes.

What an amazing story! This cocky lawyer who has an impeccable career, never loses, always gets what he wants and controls every situation gets thrown for a loop with a blast from his past. Watching him struggle with what is happening, the internal battle and how he keeps trying to lie to himself is painful!! I loved watching him and Vanessa. Loved seeing them spar and throw words at each other. This story ripped my heart to shreds, cried, laughed and ugly cried. I did not want it to end. I wanted to stay in that world and just observe their life. Make sure you read Dirty Deeds first. I loved this book. I always swooned for Schwartz, but after reading this he stole my heart.

What the heck took me so long to read this amazing and well written story, I couldn't get the pages turned fast enough. Janine once again has blown my mind with her writing, which is nothing like I have read before. She's amazing talented and it shows in this story. It shows in all. I really loved reading about Vanessa and David they were this couple that came out of no where, from what I was expecting anyways. The story is easy to read page turner that of course gets better and better with every turn I of course couldn't stop reading this every time I was at the gym which is why it took so long but was well worth it to the very end. Tear- jerker moments and tragic that will leave your heart bleeding and the tears coming made coming back even easier I just had to know what was happening and going on. Defiantly NOT a disappointment.

This may be a hard read for some because of the horrific way Vanessa has lost those she loves.
David is thrown into defending the man who tore Vanessa’s families life apart.
Can his conscience let him do that or will he finally put down his playboy ways and risk losing his career to fight for something more than justice like his never forgotten college crush and 2 traumatised little girls.
I really enjoyed this book but I wanted a bit more, like a glimpse into the future to see if justice was eventually served and how David adapted to family life and embracing the pizza carbs.

This engaging tale concerns the cocky lawyer David Schwartz, who is on retainer by our hero Jack Parrish and if you've read Satan's Knights series you know he can be an arrogant a-hole. Janine truly captured every emotion in this tale, cleverly combining both heartaching moments and humour. The author has a gift for writing interesting plots with wonderful characters. This would be a full 5 stars but for a few editing issues, however the book is that good I think that is a minor point.

Once again you have out did yourself, totally love David & Vanessa. My heart couldn't help but break for Vanessa, Cecily & especially Lily. Their back story totally wrecked me & then what happened with Vanessa's father, it brought tears to my eyes. Of course the parts with Schwartz & the Satan's Knights were hysterical & made me laugh. Was so rooting for David & Vanessa to be together where they clearly belonged. Love every spin off from the Knights. Every story grabs you from the first word.

Janine has outdone herself with this book! I loved David and Vanessa’s story! It broke my heart when I read Vanessa and her family’s story. It was terrible. The interactions with the Satan’s Knight were hysterical! I couldn’t help but root for David and Vanessa. They were perfect for each other! I’m loving the Satan’s Knights spin-off! I love reading all of Janine’s books! Cease and Desist was fantastic!

Another great story by the amazing Janine Infants Bosco. I was drawn into this book from the very start and wasn't ready for it to end. This book is filled with of loss, love, laughter, tears, and of course our beloved Satan's Knights. I laughed, cried, my heart broke and it was then filled with hope and happiness for David, Vanessa and the girls. This is one book you don't want to miss.

Yes, it's cute, Lily and Cecile are cut. Their aunt Vanessa is cute. Pregnant Charlotte Bishop is cute. Heavens, even the MC lawyer David Schwartz, in his own odd way, is cute.
