At first I thought finally there is something else going on other than smut. Shane got the stick out of his ass and was capable of basic human interaction but nooooooooo.
The big mystery finally reveals itself and yes i was surprised. But dude the way it was handled :/
The fmc meets her old abuser, gets SAed and the next thing the mmc do is fuck her. Wtf????

HOLY $*...

What. A. Ride. 🎢 I really didn't think this series could make me love it anymore but Sadie Kincaid is a genius when it comes to drawing me in hook line and sinker! I read Reign in 1 night, I laughed, I cried, cursed ALOT, I wanted to throw my kindle. Then the spice!!! When i say sadie has cranked up the heat its an understatement 🥵🔥🌶😲 this book should come with a ⚠️ (may need waterproof clothing) by the time I finished reading I was a puddled mess in every sense of the word!

I lost count of the times I was completely under Shane Ryans spell, the way his character has changed and grown over this series is 🤌 hands down one of my favourite ever RH. I cannot wait to purchase all 4 books in paperback now the series is complete and keep all 4 of these men with me forever! 🙌

The downside is im in a book hangover and miss them already 😢

3.5, so close to a 4 star.

There's a Tik Tok sound going around that says "you were good, but I wanted you to be great" and that's exactly how I feel about this series. I almost feel like Sadie Kincaid laid down the foundation for an epic series, she just lacked the confidence to take it to that next step. The storyline and the plot were there.. They just weren't fully fleshed out and took a backseat to the sex. Which is fine, if that's what you're going for, because I did really enjoy this book. I just feel like she could've given us so much more. Instead of being frustrated with the author, I'm mostly just sad for her, because I see so much wasted potential here.

My last thing to note and I'm positive that I'm in the minority here, but Shane remained my least favorite character. He has always been my least favorite, but the author clearly thinks he's going to be everyone's favorite, because in every book we spend a lot of time with him. This book was no exception, we spent a lot of time with Shane and EYE ROLL. Honestly, I was mostly drawn to the twins and we are with them so little. Such a shame, because they had such interesting backstories and the whole twin thing and ugh.. Wasted potential.

Overall I was satisfied with the ending and did enjoy this series and would recommend it. Especially if you're looking for a spicy book, because there's plenty of sex scenes to keep you occupied here.

I swear yall giving it 5 stars are lying or have never read a good book. There's minimal plot with sex every other page, I got tired of it real fast but I was waiting for this one part I saw on booktok.

Tbh it good advertisement since that was literally the epilogue of the last book. Will I be reading the next book? Hell nah I was just waiting for this part. Also the way the SA was handled I thought it was so unrealistic and the only brother I kind of liked was Conor. Also all throught this series I felt like it was kind of incesty in a way. The way Liam and Mikey call Shane dad sometimes it gives me the ick.

It just threw me off and also the brothers all were assholes especially Shane. He got some character development but he's my least favourite. I literally have nothing good to say about this book because even the sex scenes were mediocre at best and the only I actually liked was the one with Conor where he tied her up with chains.

This book should've stayed on wattpad

The way I’ve lost self respect for myself in reading these 4 books…. especially this last one. What sucks is I was going to say this was the best book out the other 3 in this series I’ve read, but the last 30 pages really just ruined everything. There were some strong parts that I really connected with and was impressed by. But Jesus, it really just tripped and fell and snowballed into a sickening mess at the end, and not in an exciting plot way, but in a “this is so bad and disgusting, I don’t know how I can face anyone knowing I’ve read this garbage”

Addictive trash with very distracting punctuation - somehow every sentence warrants an exclamation point - but why can’t I stop reading this series?

Not even worth rating. Overall, this series was just all smut no plot. The last one was the biggest let down. The fact that it was the boy's uncle was not the problem - the unnecessary kidnap and rape of Jessie was. If her kidnapping lasted longer than 24 hrs then I might have considered it as more integral to the plot. However, it was just pointless, especially considering the author gave no insight to the effect of this trauma on Jessie - in fact the author took it as an opportunity to include more smut. I'm not saying that Jessie's trauma response to being kidnapped and raped wasn't valid but what I am saying is it felt cheap. Consistently throughout the whole series we have had smut and the one thing that gave Jessie any real emotional depth was the trauma she experienced by the death of her family and the wolf. But the very moment after confronting her trauma, the author entirely undermines it. Essentially, I think the smut could have waited - the quick pace back to normality made the kidnapping and sexual assault feel so minor and a cheap way to victimise Jessie for the sad factor.

Also, the ending with the babies was utter cringe.

Yes I totally called it on who the Wolf was!! *pats self on back*

I think overall this series was a 3.5/4 for me, there was an abundance of spice and... not as much plot. I felt the final scene with Wolf was a bit anticlimactic too but overall it was a good story.

Reading through reviews for the next book my fears have been confirmed that its just an unnecessarily long epilogue with bad editing and basically porn over plot so I'm just going to leave the story here and not read the last book. I liked how this book ended so for me, the story is over.

Just when I think Sadie can't get any better, she proved me wrong with book 4.
Secrets and twists in book 4 that left me shook. Spicy, action packed and addictive.
I love the dynamic between Jessie and her boys.

“I see you talking to another man and I want to rip his tongue out. When you smile at him, I want to gouge his fucking eyes out. NEW YORK RUTHLESS: BOOK 4 𝗯𝘆 SADIE KINCAID

There were moments where the tension and stakes were high AF… but, it did not come through in the writing. I as a reader, did not feel it. It was more or less words on a page without the emotional emphasis coming alive. These things (no spoilers) were events that are far reaching across the series but frankly, felt underdone or ‘lacking’. I found that odd.

There’s also the smutty smut that normally kicks-(we all know what we get in these books normally) and again, especially in the beginning of the book we’re just kinda there…but not really there. Blah. (It gets better tho)

I really dig this series and these characters however, this is probably my least favorite of the Ryan saga so far. It’s good BUT it didn’t kick ass.
Was it rushed? Or underdeveloped? It feels like a tad bit of both.

The last 30% of the book saved it for me. The last section upped the book overall. It ended great.

Still love this family… still here for the journey … just a bit letdown & underwhelmed by this installment.

Jessie Ryan is a law unto herself. She is the most stubborn woman I have ever met in my life. She is fiercely independent and way smarter than any man in this car. She might submit to us in bed, but she makes her own choices in every other aspect of her life.

honestly a good wrap up to the series. if you expect more than smut with little plot you will be disappointed. the plot we did see kept me going, though it did have potential to be waaaay more. i didn’t see the plot twist coming at all so that says a lot since these things are usually very formulated.
shane did win me over a bit in this book but i honestly wish we saw more of the twins in the series because they felt very surface level to me.
but lately while reading i always think “would these people actually last together?” and while i LOVE rh’s and why choose books this one def felt like the only solid connection was Conor…. maybe it’s just me.

Treats rape as a non-issue

I'm disgusted and I'm not buying it. DNF past 55%. I just cannot recommend a storyline in which rape is used as a plot line and then treated as if it didn't even happen and they get back to sexcapades as usual. Why have the most traumatic of all physical assaults as a device in your book if you're NOT going to treat it realistically, if it's just going to be a blip on the radar and it's like nothing ever happened? Rape is NOT something that should be brushed off like "it's a flesh wound" sort of treatment from the movies. Sorry to say it, but the character is a victim, a victim of rape, deal with it instead of pretending it doesn't exist. Yeah, I get the whole survivor part of it but just brushing the whole thing aside like it's nothing is insulting, repulsive, and disgusting. Should have had the assault stopped short if business-as-usual is where this was going, because as it stands acting like a sexual assault is a non-issue is so revolting to me I'm done with the series.

Another important part of this series

The fourth book in this series is important to this story in several ways. I will not spoil the read by sharing, but you'll see why this one matters so much. Reading these in order is really important.

I enjoyed the familiarity of this read. By now, you are aware that these characters "fix" everything with steamy chemistry and scenes. (And there's a lot to "fix" in this book!)

God my reading choices are questionable..
I’ve enjoyed the rest of the series. It’s shit, loads of smut and basically no plot- easy and light. Sometimes you just need this sort of book yano what I mean?
Loved the plot twist of who the wolf was, that was fun.
However, my big thing here was how poorly the SA was handled.. I agree everyone deals with trauma differently but feel like it wasn’t sensitive at all how it was done in this. Sad cause there rest was just as easy to read as the others.

Me voy a poner técnica, ok?

- Al 60%, Jessie mata a The Wolf.

The unthinkable has happened. The nightmare that was Jessie's past has come full circle. This puts everyone on alert.

Jessie has waited 10 years for this day, where she can avenge her family, but Shane, Conor, Mikey, and Liam will do anything and everything to keep her safe and out of harms way.

A trip to Ireland with Shane to take care of his father's estate and other business should be a trip of a lifetime for Jessie, however unbeknownst to both of them the threat that they have been preparing themselves for was right under their nose the whole time.

When Shane realises Jessie is missing, and he calls his brothers in for reinforcements, little things begin to click into place, and when Shane sees his uncle Paul, it only confirms his suspicion further, he is the enigmatic Wolf.

Everything is heightened, they're all hurting, and Shane is blaming himself. When they hone in on her location, and Liam finds her, and he sees her for himself, he has to hold back the rage inside of him, knowing what happened to her and not being able to do anything to protect her. He takes her back to the safety of their home. When Jessie knows that she is safe, is she able to recount bits and pieces. Conor, her safe space, gives her what she needs, and for the first time, Shane feels jealous of his brother for giving her what she needs.

Jessie concocts a plan to draw Paul out, and all her guys are dead set against it. Jessie takes matters into her own hands. She comes face to face with Paul. She doesn't let fear encompass her, and when Shane, Conor, Liam, and Mikey arrive, does it become a battle of wills.

Jessie gets the redemption she deserves. However, truths are revealed that turn Liam and Mikey's world upside down.

Their family dynamics are falling apart, and nobody knows how to be around each other. They say time heals all wounds. However, they all find a way to work through their pain, grief, and anger and come together united.

With everything they've been through, Shane comes to the realisation that he and his brothers can't live without Jessie. She is ingrained into their hearts, minds, bodies, and souls, weaved herself into the very fabric of their lives that Shane has a change of heart, he wants to tie Jessie to him and his brothers forever and what a better way to do that then by getting married and planning to have a family, now if that's not the best happily ever after then I don't know what is.

And again, those smexy scenes were downright steaming hot, sinfully unadulterated pure pleasure, passion, and smut that will keep you wet for days!

Highly recommend both the author and the book. Now, onto book 5!

This series is definitely heavy on spice especially in the bedroom and each book ends on a cliffhanger much like tv series end each season. This installment in the series finally sees some action outside of the bedroom as the Wolf, a hired assassin, is finally revealed to be someone closer than they could ever suspect. The cliffhanger for this book was less intense and since I am now 4 books into a 5 book series, I will finish it. If you like a spicy mafia romance with tons of bedroom aerobics then you'll enjoy the entertainment in this book and series. You do need to read the series in order as each book builds upon the previous so reading out of order is definitely not recommended unless you are just after a bit of spice to heat things up.

These books are so good. Idk why Sadie just kills me, but I’m here for the plot (what’s here is good) and also the smut. Sometimes I just need to get away from a super plot heavy book and read some filthy smut with fine men who are just the absolute cutest with their woman. And when I need that, Sadie is ALWAYS my go to.

It’s enough plot to keep me interested but not too much that I have to think hard and the spice is spicy and I just live for it.

Also I may or may not be obsessed with the Ryan brothers. It’s fine 🥵🥵🥵🥵

Desafortunadamente me hice muchas expectativas y no me sorprendió.

Wow… I did NOT see that coming. I mean we all knew the Wolf would make an appearance but the shock of WHO he was blew my mind! The shock didn’t even stop there with more revelations to come. This has been my favorite of the series for sure. I’m loving the progression of Jessie and Shane’s relationship and seeing just how much he has finally opened up. Absolutely loved the ending and again I’m excited for the next book!

I love them

Those brothers are so funny at the end. I was so on edge towards the end, worried that she was only marrying Conor, but then I realized what was going on. I can’t believe the secret about the twins, so glad both Paul and Patrick are d**d. Can’t wait to see the brothers as dads.
