Amazing Read!
Have you ever just vibed with an author’s style?
I love this author!!! Sexy Smut with a plot that keeps you interested and furiously turning pages. Wreck My Mind is the second book in this series and it turns up the heat from where we left off in Twist My Heart (Book 1 of the Wicked Games Series.) The great thing about this author is that she brings her love interest duo from book 1 right into this installment, and although they don’t take center stage, I appreciate that as a reader.
As this series is shaping up, it’s following all the right tracks to assemble a team. As an avid reader of SF thrillers, I appreciate the way this author is able to add characters that have realistic traits displayed by the SF community. She’s certainly done her homework on the technical side of special forces operators and their equipment so there are no moments that require suspended belief to advance the well charted plot.
Things you’ll love:
Advanced and realistic world building that allows the reader to visualize the settings.
Gorgeous and realistic men that are not only capable but also humble and kind.
Gorgeous and competent FMC’s that don’t need rescued.
Equivalently skilled and emotionally intelligent parings that create sizzling sexy scenes in addition to solving cases/problems in their storylines.
Wreck My Mind is a great read and I can’t wait to follow along in the next installment of the Wicked Games Series. This one will be hard to top. So much detail and drama.

This is Book 2 of the Wicked Games series and can be read as a standalone. What an interesting take on the Wizard of Oz!
Marcata Cay is situated in the Bermuda Triangle where the ever reclusive Oz resides. The Oztralians have high level tech capabilities AND take the best care of their own.
Aziza, our FMC, doesn’t leave the island. She tough, organized beautiful and is completely infatuated with Coop.
Coop, strong, honorable former SEAL who reciprocates Aziza’s feelings has things he needs to do before he can act on them.
I really enjoyed how sweet this story was; the level of betrayal from their own was unexpected (especially given that they take such good care of everyone). The twists were surprising, but gave you the “aha, I knew you were a bad man” vibes. The author did an incredible job with research and world building - everything was so realistic!
Recommend this if you’re looking for a sweet, fast paced story (that leaves you curious about what happens next.)
I’ll go ahead and book my trip to Marcata Cay now

Wreck My Mind by Brooke Taylor is the second book in the Wicked Games series and was a super fun read that really surprised me with the level of care and detail that was put into creating this story. Brooke did a phenomenal job at creating the plot, the island setting and of course the character development too as they were all on point and made for a super entertaining read and the perfect romantic suspense, Wizard of Oz based story!
Since finding herself on a mysterious island, Zee has worked diligently at serving the eccentric and reclusive billionaire that inhabits it—even at risk to her own choices and freedoms. I’ve been patiently waiting for Zee and Coop’s story since finishing book 1 Twist my Heart and it was beyond incredible!!!! The amount of thought and research that went into creating the island setting and all the action, suspense, and mystery swirling around it was awesome! My words feel inadequate when trying summarize what this series made me feel. Joy to be immersed in such a fascinating adventure, heart gripping adrenaline rush as the action and suspense unfold, and all the feels for these two characters who you can’t help but fall in love with! Seriously, a must read series!!!! I don’t feel the need to give anymore details of the story because I want you all to experience every single word first hand! I recommend starting with book one first in order to better understand the background for Zee and Coop’s story. I’m so looking forward to seeing what Brooke Taylor has in store for readers next!!! Beyond five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Oz (think play on wizard of Oz) owns a private island where he lives as a recluse overseeing a large company focusing on tech and intelligence as a hologram of himself. This book is a dual POV of Aziza, Oz’s right hand woman, and Coop, an ex navy seal. These two have spent years getting to know each other virtually before Coop has to come to the island for a job. While there, the two are managing their already established relationship while learning about the things they’ve kept hidden from one another.
I received this book as an ARC (thanks to Smuthood for the opportunity!) and I wonder if this book would have been a bigger hit for me if I had read the first of the series. This book started off quite confusing, referencing lots of different companies and characters and was a long lead up to the characters meeting for the first time. Once they’re together the story picks up and it’s fun getting to know the characters and watching their relationship develop. I quite liked the two of them together and there was a bit of spice to them for sure! The author has obviously done a lot of research into her story and has a great writing style with the perfect amount of detail. I honestly think the build up could have been shorter and more substance put into the back half of the book instead! Glad I read it and would likely pick up another book from this author!

The man Zee is in love with, Cooper a former Navy SEAL, goes MIA at the beginning of the book. Where has he gone? Will they reconnect? The book is slow starting, a little confusing, and somewhat jumpy in story at times. I wish there was a little more back story at the beginning, but towards the middle it gets a little more spicy and sense making. Holy moly!!! So many things to say about this book. First, this is my first romantic suspense book and WOW! I’m impressed. It gave me a ton of anxiety so I’m not sure how many more I will read (laughing at my own pain 😂) but I really enjoyed this book! Second, I didn’t realize this was the second book in the series until I was at like 50% when some things weren’t fully making sense so definitely read book 1 first 😂 Third, I think I read this book faster than most books because of the suspense element and I kept thinking I figured things out but I was SO wrong!
This book has a wizard of Oz feel with so many fun twists and turns. When I read the book blurb I was so intrigued, I was like why not? And I’m so glad I did. It’s definitely one of those books that will stick with me. And Zee is a freaking badass.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a romantic suspense book!

Jesus. Aziza (Zee) and Michael Cooper (Coop) The sexual tension was so charged it had me panting. The chemistry was undeniable the world-building was amazing. If you haven't read book 1 it's highly recommended I feel like you would understand things a lot more. (I have read book one).

This is the second book in the Wicked Games series and it was my first book by Ms. Taylor. I was absolutely blown away by this story. The twists and turns that storyline seemed to follow. This book had me at the edge of my seat and never went the way I expected it to go. This story had elements of all the things I love when reading but it’s not a book I would normally gravitate towards- so I was amazed at how manically I consumed each word about Zee and Coop. I did not read Book 1 before reading this, but I will definitely be going back to finish book 1- and I would recommend future readers read both because I was confused several times. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who loves suspense, romance and a retelling of a classic! Bravo Ms. Taylor!!

This was my first story by Brooke Taylor and I didn't hate but I also didn't love it. I think sometimes it's just so hard to find books we connect with when you're a mood reader. I can read this one-two months from now and it could be my favorite. This was absolutely it's a me thing not and you thing. This is book two of the Wicked Games Series but can be read as a standalone. It was a very interesting take on Modern Day Pirates and Wizard of Oz. If you're just looking for the smut this story has it. I loved all the steamy scenes and I may try this one again a couple of months down the road. This author has great character development and has the story down. Again just wasn't for me at this time.

I really liked Coop and Aziza. Aziza loves Coop and maybe he doesn't feel the same way. He ghosted her. Just disappeared. She has kept tabs on him and knows where he is, but she doesn't know why he is there. Some bad guys have started dying and it is putting OZ in a precarious position and Coop seems to be the executioner. What is he up to? While trying to bring up something from a wrecked yacht, Aziza knows that she can trust him with all her secrets. And she has many. Coop also has a big secret and knows that if he tells Aziza, she will move heaven and earth to help him. He wants to come to her with his whole self, not someone for her to take care of. Can they find a way around their secrets to a life together?

So this should really be about 3.5 stars for me.
This was a really interesting play with the concept of OZ. I don’t think I’m a million years I could have come up with a concept this detailed.
The book is a slow burn for me but once it starts it’s very interesting and beyond captivating, but that was about 40% into the book.
I loved all the characters and the author kicked ass at doing all of this research. Some things were just astounding!
The end felt rushed, but I do love an HEA and I wasn’t expecting it the way it came.
I would read this author again though and think anyone that likes action and slow burns would really enjoy this.

Not even counting the great action and romantic chemistry, I would have loved book one by default just for the play on one of my all-time favorites, The Wizard of Oz. The second book in the series is no different. I loved reading about Coop and Aziza while they slowly let their guards down and let each other in on their secrets. The quick paced adventure carries right over from the end of the first book, and it looks like it'll keep right on into book three. Probably my favorite part is picking out all the references to the Wizard of Oz books and movie (of which their are many). Another great read from Brooke Taylor.

So i cant lie, i was a little miffed in the beginning that it didnt seem to pick up where book 1 left off. But about 20% in you jump right back in. I didn't think it was possible, but I liked this one better than book 1. And i REALLY liked book 1. Humor, sexiness, sass and love come together nicely to make the perfect book. Loved it and can NOT wait for book 3. 5 stars, and id rate the steaminess a 3.

Great second book in the series, such a page turner. This was a steamy and suspenseful story, full of deception, betrayal as well as a haunting past. I just kept wanting more, hard to put down.

I love this wicked games series! I can not wait for another book! This is a super sexy realistic and you won’t regret reading this series! I will for sure keep following this series.
