She travels to an animal rights conference where, surrounded by people who share her beliefs, she finally feels like she belongs. Oh My God. This book was one of the best ones yet! I tension, the angst, It had me up until 1 am to finish this book in happy tears. Another amazing book by my Fav Author Ondine Sherman!
I enjoyed this read. I liked the way it explored young romance and theical and moral dilemmas. Sky is a vegan and a keen animal lover who idolises Stella, who is the director of Activists Unite - protectors of animals who cannot speak for themselves. Sky also loves Oliver, but things have cooled since she kept her friendship with another boy from him. Grieving her mother and still getting used to living with her aunt and uncle, Sky's life is in turmoil. Olivert is preoccupied with getting enough likes on his YouTube videos to get accepted into film school. The pair upload a video of what they believe is a friend out hunting kangaroos, stomping on a joey to kill it. What was the truth, and how did they sort it out? Recommended for readers 12 years and older.
Ondine did it again. Every book in her series is interesting and fun to read. I recommend you get the lot, a welcome distraction during the lockdown. Perfect for young teen readers.
