Book 1 was a great read. Book 2 Tash became complacent. She excepted the treatment she was getting from Reid.

Let me tell you I did not like his actions in book 2. Not only for the treatment of Tash but he kinda sucks as alpha. Like he is a dumb ass. To be blunt.

Book 3 is a maybe.

Happy reading,

Wolf Tamer by Harper A Brooks

Well Tasha, this is another fine mess you’ve gotten yourself into; about to be burned at the stake and still she couldn’t get her magic to come to life. In the meantime, back at the Redcliff mansion Reid is in his own life or death struggle fighting not one but, two Pack wolves intent on ending the Alpha’s reign and his life.
…. back where they started, a bit singed, scraped up and bruised; they still don’t have a clue as to where Carmen may be held, by whom. Nor have they found how the Redciliff boundaries are being breached or the reasons behind it. Reid is well aware of the dissention among the wolves, not the least of it being their mistrust and hatred towards Tasha and the witches. Now he must show his strength as Alpha to prove to the wolves that he is in control, to be feared and obeyed. For this reason, the Pack has assembled in the mansion to watch as he metes out pack punishment to Tasha for “escaping”. It is harsh, cruel and painful while, many watch in satisfaction with glee and lust in their eyes.
Matching Reid’s reasons for this act of cruelty with his tender words and care of her afterwards makes trusting Reid even harder for Tasha. As the days progress, she tries to make friends with the wolves starting with Liam and Julius. She struggles to find her place within the Pack, to stand by Reid’s side. Reid spends most days with the Pack and even when he returns to her at night, he keeps his counsel and his secrets tucked away. Uncertain, of his feelings for her, Tasha fears she has let herself begin to care too much for Reid. What if his need to control and lead the Pack means she might, just be collateral damage in the end?
Something is off about the Redcliff mansion. Keeping herself busy during the day helps to calm the thoughts of her sister, the distance she feels is forming between her and Reid, along with concerns the enemy is circling ever closer. So, she quietly searches, looking for hidden passages, listening for sounds out of place, smells that don’t belong. The old mansion holds secrets within its walls that portent danger to all.
“Wolf Tamer” offers some answers, while it draws a tighter bond around the Pack and our heroes. As any good tale there is still more to learn, and the end may not yet be foreseen. There are still questions, secrets and even a few surprises. Emotions are right up there with the struggles and secrets that push everyone to the limits of their endurance. Tasha and Reid’s strengths, the Pack’s burgeoning acceptance as some come to see the outside dangers pressing in, others accepting Tasha as someone who wants to help, the hatred the witches seem to have for all, carry the storyline forward on a winding path and made me want to see how it may be resolved.
I was given an ARC to share, through my point of view, with others. So, first let me say, the book kept me reading well into the night and I read it again in case I missed something before stopping to write the review. The storyline is tough, there are those who may have difficulty with the Pack’s way of dealing with disobedience or what they see as weakness or treachery, but leading means making the final tough choices for the world in which they live. For this reason, I gave the book four stars. Harper A. Brook doesn’t pull her punches, which is why I really got entangled in the story. For myself, I give it five stars. The next reader needs to be their own judge, so give it a chance.

Is anything or anyone around Tasha and Reid the real deal or are they all playing a game of their own? I was sucked into the book from the beginning, and it spat me back out at the end. In fact, that ending has pretty much erased every other thought from my head. I know I was hooked by the story and read it perched on the edge of my seat. I flipped pages as fast as I could, anxious to find out what would happen next. And after encountering that ending? "Nooooooo!!!!!!" she wails into the night with a banshee’s howl. “You can’t leave me there!” I’m more invested than ever to learn the rest of the story.
I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.

So we slide straight back into where we left off in book one and it just does not stop! Tasha has been marked to death by her coven so turns to Reid to hide her whilst she sorts out what is going on with her magic etc. Tasha is as great mc even when she is being stubborn and Reid is our strong alpha male and I love how they fit together so well. It’s an exciting addition to this series, it’s action packed and full of mystery, betrayal, deception and so much more and really has you hanging onto every word! Looking forward to book three!

Tasha (FMC) and Reid's relationship in this series is difficult because of not only who they are but theres a lot of mistrust and hatred between the wolves & witches. In this book more so than the first they were starting to rely on one another. Which i liked. Some things that happened in it didnt sit right with me but i understood why that needed to happen. Still the plot twists and turns were so good. Im really enjoying reading each book in this series. Its getting better and better. I cant wait for book 3 now

Book two picks up straight from where book one ends, and I feel bad for Tasha and Reid, both of them find themselves in sticky situations that they need to get themselves out of. Will they ever catch a break? Well, I am wondering that myself. There is one hell of an ending, with a doozy of a cliffhanger so make sure you're prepared for that. I can't wait for book three. There's so much going on in this book that it will have you devouring every page.

Poor Tasha and Reid just cant catch a break. If it isn't their feelings getting in the way it's one of them many enemies they now have. Trying to find the traitors and learning to trust each other is no easy task. Live how things are developing between these too. The ending will have you screaming and begging for the next book.

I really liked this second book in the series! Started out where the last book ended, both fighting for their lives. I've read reviews where the didn't like Tasha and Reid's dynamic and secret keeping. I on the other hand, seemed it felt more realistic and could relate better. I cant wait to read the next book!

Wolf Tamer is the second book in the Moon Kissed series by Harper Brooks. The story is filled with wolves and witches, magic, and betrayal. So things pick up right where they left off with a couple of wolves trying to kill Reid and the witches sentencing Tasha to death.

Tasha and Reid obviously make it through but now it's completely obvious that the couple has enemies on all sides, with betrayal in the pack and not knowing who to trust and the witches out for blood, things are getting dicey but it's entertaining because it's basically a cluster-F. The witches have hinted that what they present is what they really want and are up to something a lot darker. Plus some real shady stuff is going on in the pack house, bad feelings, failing magic, and there is a whole lot of verbal and physical fighting. Really both sides are at war but one side isn't better than the other, both are bloodthirsty, the wolves like seeing people inflicted with pain (Tasha particularly) and the witches just wanna kill their own people with little explanation.

Things with Tasha and Reid aren't better. One minute they're good the next not so much. Tasha is smart and figuring things out except for her magic which has new developments. Then there's Reid who trusts the wrong people and has shown a darker side of himself. Reid's and Tasha's relationship had improved to where they can at least admit their feelings to themselves but the couple still has its problems.

As for the story, I had a couple of issues. Some of the characters' actions didn't make sense and it was slightly annoying, I felt like things are pretty much the same place as they were in the first book. However, I will admit a few tidbits were interesting like the developments with Tasha, the plot twist that I admit I didn't see coming, and the revelation that the witches have it out for Tasha for more reasons than the breaking of the contract.

Wolf Tamer was a good read and decided I'm rounding up to a 4-star rating because things started to get real exciting. The ending was dramatic af! I'm in it now and I'm wondering how things are gonna wrap up, especially after the huge bomb that was dropped at the end. Like what the...

I like a lot of things. I mean, most of my books have a touch of magic, but in general there are a lot of small ingredients that can grab my attention. In this book it's the whole idea of a Wolf and a Witch, both with the task to kill the other, being mates. The first book was therefore quite entertaining, although the cliffhanger was quite brutal. So, I was very happy that I managed to get an arc for the second book from the author.

This book continues where the previous book ended. Luckily the author doesn't forget that we read the first book some time ago and there are here and there a few reminders to refresh our memories. I have to admit that I needed those, especially because this book has quite a lot of important characters, each with their own goals and wishes. But, we were thrown right into the action and both we and the characters barely got any time to breath after that.

Honestly, for me there was maybe a little too much action in this book. I understand that both characters use violence as a coping mechanism. I understand that for them violence, and therefore action, is emotion. But especially halfway there was this one scene where I got a little fed up with the heroine for taking action before taking the time to listen. There was an explanation for the behavior later, but it didn't completely satisfy me.

However, reading about these two characters, mated and destined for each other but meeting each other at THE WORST POSSIBLE MOMENT, is really addictive and entertaining. Once I started reading I really had trouble putting the book down and especially towards the end, when the relationship issues were ironed out a little and the mystery of what is going on and what has happened in the past grows more prominent I got more and more invested again.

I can't wait for the next book!

Wolf Tamer is book two in Harper A. Brooks's paranormal romance Moon Kissed series and things are heating up! Book two picks up where book one left off. Where were things left off? Well, Tasha has been locked up by the Bosun witches. They fully intend to end her life, but is the truth what they are claiming or is it something much much darker? Reid? Well, he's still in the fight for his life against two of his pack who have chosen the coward's way and attacked him outside of the usual path taken. It's a race against time for both them as the clock is ticking for their survival.
Wolf Tamer is a page-turner, for sure, but while the storyline is moving along pretty well, the characters themselves begin to stumble a bit. Tasha is discovering some new things about herself that according to some just shouldn't be possible. But what does it all mean? I have my thoughts and suspicions but we're just going to have to wait and see where the author is taking this. Reid is failing a bit at this being the alpha and I'm seeing why his oldest brother views him the way that he does. But the oldest also has some surprises up his sleeve. Reid needs to get a clue though because he's seeing all too much that things aren't what they appear in the pack.
This book has its ups and its downs, but I really want the characters to remember whom they started out as. Tasha was tough, unapologetic, and gritty. She's losing some of that when she really needs to hang on to it as tightly as possible. I'm really going to need Reid to alpha up soon. He's a bit too soft for my liking and it's costing him.
I'm choosing to rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. Things are definitely getting interesting, but we'll see what book three holds.

After the tense ending of book I, I couldn't wait for this book! It picks up right after book I, Tasha is in dire danger, about to, hmm, can't really say, but suffice to say, I didn't think she'd be able to get out of this scenario! A witch who's not really able to access her magic, is languishing in despair. As much as she tries, her magic eludes her. Well that's why she opted to become an assassin, she could always rely on her skill, not her magic. But that ain't gonna help her here...I love Tasha's snark, her entire attitude actually is all a facade, she trusts no one, let's no one in but enter Reid. He turns her emotions inside out and she cannot trust them. I loved the uncertainty of both Reid and Tasha, both feel this intensity yet both have roles to play. Tasha as a "sacrifice" to the pack, Reid as a fledgling Alpha, who is battling to exert his authority on a pack that doesn't really respect him. When he's attacked by his own pack members, he realises he has traitors in his midst. Mae is truly vile! A witch can do no harm yet it becomes clear that she has a vendetta against Tasha. The battle scenes are quite chilling. So, not only do Tasha and Reid have to try uncover the mystery, the mystery of Tasha's missing sister, who the traitor or traitors are, they also have to navigate through their feelings for one another. It's a well thought out plot, luring one in, but just as I think, aha, I know where this is going, I'm completely wrong! I felt a bit like I was watching a fishing line being flung around by gale force winds! There's so much to the story, so many things just out of reach, that I'm dying to know how the author will reel it all in and land a big fat fish right in my lap!

Book one definitely needs to be read before opening up book two.
And book two starts where book one ended…..

Tasha And Reid are still fighting their attraction for one another. They are still trying to work out who is trying to kill them, and where Tasha’s sister is…..
Returning to Reid was never the plan, but pretending to uphold the plan and kill Reid should buy Tasha some time.
Told in both the main characters points of view, we watch as Reid fights for both his life and the leadership of his pack…..
We hold our breath as it looks like Tasha will face death at the hands of her witch community.
The double dealings will make your head spin and the action scenes leave you breathless.

The book starts at a furious pace, and it doesn’t let up, brilliantly written it draws you in with the chemistry between Tasha and Reid, the mystery as you try to solve who is behind trying to take out Reid and kill Tasha.
Witches sent Tasha to kill Reid, but after learning more about Reid and the coven, Tasha is so confused about her feelings to Reid and her duty to the family that took her in.
Reid should hate Tasha, he use to hate witches, still does in fact, but his pact needs their magic to stay hidden from the human world. His family don’t trust her, and his pack hate her, so if he wants to make her his mate then that’s some big bridges to mend.

We also have a few secrets that are beginning to be revealed, are a few witches working with members of Reid’s pack? And if so, why?

And the ending…..
What a cliffhanger that was. I’m hoping we don’t have to wait to find out what happens next.

Wolf Tamer, the second book in the Moon Kissed series by Harper A Brooks is the perfect continuation of an amazing series centered around the Redcliff Pack and the Buson witches—and our hot alpha Reid and fierce heroine Tasha. Two souls at odds with themselves…and fate.

This story picks up right where the first one left us hanging, with each of our fabulous characters each in a perilous predicament and basically battling it out for their lives: with Tasha facing off against her former coven and Reid having been betrayed by someone he trusted. As the story escalates, secrets are revealed, mysteries unfold and answers are found…but also brings more secrets and twists and turns that will keep you guessing!

I loved how the story was told in duel POV and how it gave us a better chance at getting to see the relationship slowly develop between Tasha and Reid and experience it from their own views.

Overall if you love a good fated mate, enemies to lovers paranormal romance full of action, steam, twists and turns and an epic cliffhanger, then this is the one for you! I can’t wait for the next one!

Tasha and Reid

This was a good follow up to the first book, I did feel like it dragged a little and I didn't like the whole punishment part that Tasha had to go through Reid is the Alpha he could have chosen not to follow through and come up with another reason for Tasha being gone.

When Reid told Tasha to return to the coven to try and sniff out who killed his mother she never expected they'd turn on her and she'd end up in a modern day witch trial or that the moment she left Reid would be turned on by two of his own. Although he's left barely alive he knows he has to go and rescue Tasha. They barely make it out alive but eventually make it back to the mountain. Tasha might be back with the pack but she far from trusts anyone even Reid especially when the wards protecting them continue to weaken someone is still helping the coven and their plan is to infiltrate pack territory, which they manage to do but end up running unable to overpower the wolves. But the return of ghost was not what they were expecting and a fight they aren't ready for.

Wolf Tamer drops us right back in the fight both Reid and Tasha were in the middle of at the end of book one, bringing back all the feelings of anger and betrayal.

Tasha is so dang stubborn, it's hard to read her stand in her own way. Although, I really appreciate her unwavering belief her sister is out there somewhere and her absolutely determination to find her. It was nice to see some character growth with Tasha this book and I can see the set up for even more in the next book. Her and Reid fit very well together and I like how Reid is so patient with Tasha as she tries to navigate her feelings on top of all the crazy things happening in their world.

Reid realizing he has more of a family in his brothers than he thought is really heartwarming. I'm still not convinced one or both of them aren't hiding something, though.

Oh that ending 😳😫🤔...I have so many new questions!!! Looking forward to the next in this series.

The first 20% of this was easily five stars. We picked up with Tasha at the hands of the coven and Reid betrayed by someone he trusted. Their fights and the outcome are perfect.

But towards the middle I started to forget that Tasha was this amazing assassin. Her actions were erratic and hardly thought out. The weirdness with her magic also confused me. Originally she never had any, but then she did but it just wasn't very good (???). I'm not sure what was going on there.

Same thing with Reid. He is so "I must be strong alpha" but DOESN'T BOTHER TELLING TASHA ABOUT THE MATE THING. Like...I feel like he could have explained that she was his mate but he had to act like whatever. Then magically he didn't care any more after being so determined to be a strong alpha for like four chapters.

Regardless, the story is good. I just want to see these characters gain a little consistency as they grow. Excited for book 3!

This book really kept me at the edge of my seat, I didn’t know what might happen next.
Tasha had been found out by the witches for not killing Reid, but with her floundering magic she's almost defenseless.
Reid is torn between his loyalty to the pack and his new found relationship with Tasha. How can he keep them save without a sacrifice from the witches?
So you really don't know who to trust in this story, there are pro's and con's for everyone, but there are definatley a few surprises, but a few that show their alliance's.
I'm convinced there is something going on in the background thats not been picked up yet, but I really don't know who might be behind it.
I really want to know what the witches end game is and why the wolves need the witches power so much - there's just so much to find out about.
And that cliffhanger at the end, that really blew my mind, I mean.... what?....how? Will make for a very interesting book 3.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "WOLF TAMER"
I love this series it hooks you right away full of action, betrayal, angst, suspense, intrigue, danger, secrets, deceit, twists you don't see coming such an addicting read.
Tasha was found out by the witches that she failed at killing Reid now they want her dead she turns to the one person she shouldn't but needs Reid's help.
Reid isn't sure about hiding Tasha among his pack he knows she his mate they must keep their relationship secrets.
Reid & Tasha's journey is not without its problems she want to find her sister Carmen she knows she's out there somewhere plus their hunting who betrayed the pack.
I definitely recommend to get this amazing well written story so much happens keeping you on the edge of your seat you won't believe the shocking mind-blowing ending cliffhanger so can't wait for next book "WOLF PROTECTOR" to see what happens next. AWESOME AWESOME READ!!!!!

I am loving this series. Tasha and Reid are amazing characters. They are both flawed and have baggage, but they are aware of it and working to be better. I wanted to cheer for how Reid chose to handle Tasha's outburst. It could have gone so different if he would have let his feelings take over like she did. He is 100% committed to their relationship and is just waiting for Tasha to figure it out herself. Luckily he doesn't have to wait too long.

The amount of mystery surrounding this story just grows. The witches know something and after the betrayal at the end of book 1, who to trust is a loaded question.

The danger escalates and potential allies are found. Still so much to figure out and I don't want to miss a second of it. Eagerly waiting for book 3. It cannot come fast enough.

I received an advanced copy of this story and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.

Wolf Tamer is the second book in the Moon Kissed series by Harper Brooks. The story revolves around wolves, witches, magic, and betrayal. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 ends- lucky for us!

Tasha and Reid now see that it is painfully obvious that they have enemies on all sides. There is betrayal in the pack and they don't know who to trust. Also, the witches are out for blood, so things could be going better for the pair in all reality. Both sides are at war, both are bloodthirsty, and danger is in the air.

Harper Brooks writes yet another imaginative story that has you on the edge of your seat the whole time you are reading. There are so many twists that you won't know who to trust and who you can count on. The world-building is excellent and the characters really make you feel for them.

A great book/series to read if you are a fan of witches, wolves, and magic!

I was enjoying this series until the alpha physically abuses the heroine in the name of “punishment” for his image with his pack. It’s supposed to be kinda pretend (he has 60 seconds of her casting a spell that should make her pain free, but it doesn’t work). He strips her naked, makes derogatory sexual comments (in which others join in) and humiliates her in front of his pack, then whips her with a branch for much longer than a minute and makes her say she likes it over and over again. It was disgusting - and the worst part is the heroine is disgusted but then immediately gets over it and isn’t even upset? Like complete wet blanket, which is so out of character for her being such a badass assassin.

Anyway I don’t think I will be continuing this series - alpha is pretending to be all tough but really he wasn’t “alpha” at all in this book.

Thrilling, adrenaline packed gem!!!

I honestly could NOT put this down until I finished the very last page...and OMG what a last scene it was 😮😮😮!!! Prepare now for the cliffy of all cliffhangers...yikes!!!! We pick up right where book one left off, and this book is filled to the brim with oodles of adrenaline, intrigue, action galore, deception, mystery and so much more. Not to mention a few surprises along the way. Our young couple certainly have a lot of obstacles in this one, but nothing worth having comes without some trials 😉. I absolutely cannot wait to see what's in store next...especially with how this book ended. I am on pins and needles here!! Here's hoping they continue to work together and don't get torn apart by lies or other forces. Bring on book three!

Harper A. Brooks joys the ground running with book two of the Moon Kissed series picking up where Wolf Hunter left off at.
Reid and Tasha are in a race for survival with so little precious time left. Things are starting to get really interesting on this wild ride. Things are not what they seem in the Pack. Tasha is dealing with her powers being on the fritz. One challenge after another has Reid and Tasha with more questions and not enough answers. With all the action, betrayal, mistrust, twists and turns happening it is no wonder that the book ends in a cliffhanger. It left me feeling stunned by the ending. I didn’t see that ending as an option of how this book was going to work out.

Picking up where we left off, Tasha is imprisoned by her coven awaiting her death. So she does the only thing she can and turns to Reid for help. Unfortunately for our two main characters, they have yet to figure out their own relationship so we see them in the same type of dynamic as the first book – keeping things from each other and obviously getting their feelings in the way. While they try to figure out what they are to each other, they end up with more enemies at their front door without any more answers about Tasha’s sister, Carmen. With some twists and turns we end up with a crazy ending and I cannot wait for the next installment.

Tasha accepted the contract from the Buson Coven to kill the Alpha of the Redcliff pack, who had been stealing their magic for ages. But the old Alpha is gone and Reid is both the new Alpha and Tasha's mate. Complications multiply as they try to fight the bond, fight for their lives and fight for their love. For each answer she finds, there are a dozen more questions and each bit of history revealed only guarantees disastrous consequences. She thought there would be time to puzzle it all out, but when she finds herself being burned at the stake by her former coven she realizes there may not be as much time left as she'd hoped...

I couldn't put this book down!! It started where we left off. Reid fighting for his life with Crane and Emily and Tasha still captive by the witches.

Reid and Tasha do everything they can to figure out who is betraying the pack, what the witches are really up to and trying to pretend there isn't a bond between the two as well as trying to find out what happened to Tasha's sister.

There is so much going on that I couldn't stop reading. What I didn't expect was the ending. That was a big shock and I can't wait to see what comes next!

Poor Tasha and Reid. This book starts immediately where book one ended, and we are never let go. There is so much going on and so many interesting things happen, changing things. I can’t say much because of spoilers, but this was quite a wild ride. I wish we had more movement on where Carmen is or what happened to her, even some hints, but that’s probably coming. This ended with a bang of a surprise, and I am both excited and dreading where this is going to take us. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

I couldn’t wait to get started on this book after the way the first book ended, and I was not disappointed. From the start this book was filled with action and it didn’t stop all the way thru the book, which I loved. I just couldn’t put this book down from the minute I picked it up Tasha just goes from better to better and her attitude is amazing and snarky. But her magic just doesn’t match that but as time goes on it seems that it’s finally going to come out. Yip 100% gutted about that cliffhanger but, Can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!!
