DNF at page 50-something. I told myself, “Self, if this hero inner dialogues how hard he is again, or if I’m told that he has to readjust his crotch to be more comfortable one more time, I’m outta here!”
It’s the same thing as every other Boss story: billionaire, God’s gift to women, workaholic, so rude that all of his secretaries seem to quit…
So this hero suffers from his first case of instant-lust here. Guys, he’s never had to rearrange his junk so often with any other woman! We are told over and over again how he couldn’t stop thinking about her over the weekends, during his showers (twice in one shower)… just a lot of telling. I never could figure out why he was so in lust…
I guess I was not hooked from the start to become engaged in the characters. So I lost interest quickly with the more irritated I got at everything trying to be over sexual, instead of building a romance.
PS… if a lady is called Miss Smith (for example) there’s no period after ‘Miss.’ Very distracting to read with periods all over the place that shouldn’t be there.

First time reading from this author and it went so well😍😍😍 I love reading new authors without reading the review first so I get to see it for myself... And this author thankfully writes a nice book that put a smile on my face😍😍😍 Especially when the hero turns out to be super possessive, wow that really made me go on with the book🥺

No unnecessary childish drama... The book and the story about the couple it's well written... Not boring at all.
The story begins with the heroine is in the office to have her first interview. She just graduated from college and she find out about the job from her best friend slash roommate's dad. After a few minutes, she got in to the office to have a interview with the CEO and the big boss billionaire himself. When she saw him and he saw her, it was a instant connection and love in first sight....
‼️‼️‼️TRIGGER: Drugs, alcoholic mother, death and hospital.
‼️‼️‼️NO CHEATING
‼️‼️‼️SAFE ROMANTIC HOT LOVE STORY.
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS OTT POSSESSIVE PROTECTIVE ALPHA MALE.... He used to be a manwhor3 but didn't date or go out with anyone else for 3 months before meeting the heroine. And of course after see the heroine and have her work for him as his assistant, even though both didn't have s3x yet, the hero never go to anyone else ever or even think of someone else. The heroine was all he think about since the first day.

The heroine is the first one who knocked his heart and soul he said...
“Women didn’t do this to me. I had way too much control for that. Of course I appreciated a beautiful woman and occasionally took them to bed, but this kind of feral reaction is unheard of for me.”

“When I was returning to my office from the main conference room on the other side of the floor and spotted that kid leaning on Hollie’s desk, I immediately felt a bolt of jealousy run through me. With no forethought, my pace quickened until I stopped behind him and could hear their conversation. He was asking her to go with him to a happy hour? Didn’t he know she’s mine?”
“I spot the guy she was speaking to on Friday. Anger runs through me. Didn’t she understand she wasn’t supposed to go out with him? I know that I’m thinking like a mental patient, but I can’t seem to stop. Irrational jealousy is apparently my new thing. Hell, I’m standing outside in the dark and cold, spying on this girl.”

‼️‼️‼️NO PAST PARTNER EVER MENTION. WELL ONLY ONE TIME FROM THE HERO WHEN his ex fck buddy comes to the office and he tell the heroine about it afterwards but never more than once.
‼️‼️‼️WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THE BOOK AND the reason why i don't give it 5 stars:
1. The hero's ex fck buddy comes to his office (before the hero and heroine dated or have s3x) and made a appearance. The hero of course sent her away and telling her to get over with it because it was never serious between them. He also told the heroine about it afterwards when she thought that was his girlfriend. But still, it's annoys me when something like that just shows up.... No, I don't need to see that.
2. BEFORE THE HEROINE AND HERO EVEN MET AND THIS WAS YEARS AGO... The hero fcks the heroine's step mother, well her biological dad married that woman. And the heroine's biological dad is not a great dad, never take care of the heroine and her sister and never reunited with them since birth. So they didn't have a great relationship... The hero said he fcks that woman years ago... But still, when something like that ever appears it just bugs me. I don't like that at all... It made me think when the heroine's dad fcks his wife he will say "how it feels like when that guy you slept with is now fcking my daughter?" Eww... Because the heroine's dad is like that, such an aszzhole. And the hero even admit to himself that he fcks that woman so hard. Like why this even made a scene or why this authors thinks it's a good idea to add this up😅😅
‼️‼️‼️THE CHEMISTRY between them is beyond romantic and so lovely.... Especially the hero always so sweet and loving to the heroine and she always make sure his taken care of 🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️❤️
‼️‼️‼️NO DRAMA WITH OW. DRAMA WITH OM BUT NOT TOO ANNOYING AND NOT TOO MUCH. ALL THE OTHER DRAMA IS MOSTLY ABOUT THEMSELVES OR ABOUT THE WORK.
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS SEPARATION for almost two days. But of course both are loyal and didn't go to anyone else... After few hours when they got a misunderstanding argument, the hero went to a bar to drunk himself and only himself and his ex took the chance to hold his waist to his car when the paparazzi was taking photos of him. The ex only did that and didn't follow further cause he wants to be alone. He didn't even remember seeing the woman either but for sure he never went further with the ex and goes inside to his car alone and went to his hotels alone.
‼️‼️‼️VERY HOT SMUT SCENES. Damn the hero really knows how to make a woman special and satisfied lol.

This book was a struggle for me. It might be a me thing, in that I’ve read this billionaire boss trope so many times, this one just didn’t stand out. It was a well written, nicely paced novel but there wasn’t an original idea in the entire thing.
If the author had a check list that she made before writing this, I would not be surprised.

I really enjoyed this hot romance between a boss and his new hire assistant. Hollie and Archer had great chemistry and this book was a lot of fun as Hollie is hired as a favor to a friend and then she becomes the best assistant he has ever had.
There is a big age gap but it was not a big thing in this story. Rather it was that they work together. I also loved Hollie's friends and look forward to the next book in the series about her friend and the dad of her bestie she falls for.

HOT age gap office rom, sweet HEA
Yeah, I’m gonna have to read more Eve Sterling. Archer and Hollie have off the charts chemistry. That scene on the porch, Holy smoke balls! These two kind of go at each other quite a bit and it is H.O.T, hot!
This is an age gap/office romance and it has everything… the push pull, the instant attraction, hot sexy scenes, broody grump boss, sweet sassy assistant, corporate espionage, swoon worthy mmc that knows how to grovel when he messes up and the perfect HES.
It was so good I finished this story in a day. The heat was there from the beginning and I loved the ending. It was the perfect story for my age gap craving. I hope you enjoy it too!

First time reading Eve’s book and I’m so looking forward to the next one.
Eve written this perfectly you have everything you could ask for. I love when I connect with the characters straight it make the book so much better.
Archer and Hollie have chemistry from from the off follow there journey you will not be disappointed. One wish though that we see Hollie’s father gets what he deserves.
For me it a 5⭐️📚💓📚

Eve Sterling has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Eve and Archer. Archer is the owner of Clarke hotels and Hollie is trying to get a marketing job with the hotel. She gets an interview but not for the job she wants. It is for the personal assistant to Archer. Hollie is attracted to Archer but knows that he could not want anything to do with her. He would not want someone who is like her. She accepts the job and things are going fine at first. Hollie and Archer end up sleeping together one night but it doesn't go anywhere after. Hollie decides that he doesn't want to be with her since she is not like his normal dates. Archer gets a meeting with Caroline DuPont to discuss the Santa Cruz resort. He wants Hollie to go with him to the meeting. Caroline tells him at the meeting that she expects him to send the final proposal to her by the following Friday by three o'clock. Archer has a dinner that he has to go to and he wants Hollie to go with him so that everyone will know that she is with him. things don't go the way he plans. When they get to the dinner, Archer introduces Hollie to a few people but all of a sudden she freezes and looks at a man. Archer looks in the direction that she is looking and he sees his rival, Patrick Shaw along with his wife, Selene. Patrick walked toward them and then said hello to Hollie. This is when Archer finds out that Patrick is Hollie's father. Archer gets mad at Hollie for not telling him about Patrick being her father. She told him that she was going to tell him but he said not then. Archer accused Hollie of giving information to Patrick about the Santa Cuz deal and told her that she was fired and he would have her stuff packed and sent to her. She was not allowed on the property again. Hollie tried to explain to Archer about Patrick but he doesn't give her the chance. Hollie can't believe that Archer is treating her that way after what they have done with each other. She goes home but her roommates aren't there. They came in a few minutes later. Hollie tells them what happened and they can't believe Archer acted that way. Archer can't stop thinking about Hollie so he goes to the office to do some work. When he gets there, he sees someone is in his office. He realized it was his uncle and he is talking on the phone. What he hears his uncle say, he can't believe. His uncle set Hollie up and made it look like she gave secrets away. His uncle is talking to Hollie's father Patrick. Archer waits until his uncle is off the phone before he goes into his office. Archer wants to know why his uncle is in his office. His uncle said that he was checking on something. Archer told him that he heard him on the phone and he knew who he was talking to. Archer also told him that the Santa Cruz deal went through.Archer's uncle is upset when he hears that the deal went through and starts yelling at Archer. Archer tells his uncle to leave or he will call security to escort him off the property, he also tells him that the police would be interested in knowing what he did. After Archer is done with his uncle, he knows he needs to go and talk to Hollie. When he gets to Hollie's house, she is not there. A few minutes later, her roommates walk up and give Archer a dirty look. They tell him that Hollie is not there and they don't know how long she will be gone, Archer tells them that he needs to talk to Holle and explains what happened. They tell him that Hollie went home after she got a phone call from her sister, Paige. Hollie gets to the hospital and sees Paige and asked what happened. Paige tells her that she doesn't know. She just got a phone call and was told that her mom was there and overdosed. Artcher does what he can for Hollie's mom and when she finds out she is at first, not happy. They have a long talk and he explains things about how his uncle set her up and how sorry he was for not giving her a chance to explain things to him.
Will things work out for Hollie and Archer?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

The expectation is to go to college pick a career and then find a job in the chosen field and that is exactly the position Hollie is in graduated from college, looking for a job and coming up empty each time is getting old really fast, she keeps asking herself how will she gain experience if no one takes a chance on her and she really needs a job if she wants to eat and sleep with a roof over her head. But the pressure she is under is a bit much trying to take care of her family and getting a job as a PA to the grumpiest alpha wasn’t part of the plan, but a job is a job. Archer sexy as all get out grump with money who goes through PA like water never really giving them a chance the first mess up, he lets them go but his latest PA takes the cake she is his distraction he can’t have her and won’t let her go because he doesn’t want anyone else with her so dealing with her is his only option. He has worked so hard and finally he can see the progress, but he no longer feels the pressure he is under thanks to his assistant although he hasn’t said any of this to her yet the attraction between them is insane and neither can stop thinking, touching or be around the other although they do put in the effort. Fate has taken over the wheel so to speak and they are being pushed in the direction she wants increasing the magnetic pull between them but what would a much younger woman want with an old man, will they finely cave giving in to the pull, and is their happiness written for these two? .

Hollie and Archer are really sweet together and struggle to keep their hands off each other. There is a big age gap, but it's a non issue throughout the book which I like as its mainly focuses on their connection.
Hollie is finding it hard to find a marketing job after graduating as everyone needs experience. She turns up at an interview for Clarke hotels after her friends dad puts in a good word for her. She doesn't expect Archer the owner of Clarke hotel to be holding the interview. There is instant attraction and Hollie ends up hired as a personal assistant to Archer with the prospect of moving to Marketing when she has more experience.
Archer doesn't keep a personal assistant for longer than 2 weeks, but Hollie is the best assistant he has ever had. Their chemistry grows.
Hollie has a complicated home life and doesn't have a relationship with her father a well known business man. Archer and Hollie connect on a business trip over their family and pasts but Hollie is never 100% truthful.
No unnecessary drama, the story flows well and expands to more than just the normal boss trope.
Can't wait to read more from this series and this author.

I have to say I didn’t like this book to begin with. It was very boring to begin with and didn’t spike my interest. As it progressed into the story I became invested with Hollie and Archers relationship, who wouldn’t when she had a crappy childhood and he’s her protective billionaire boss. The ending was cute, and the groveling was nice.
I usually love the billionaire hero trope, but this one wasn’t interesting enough for me to love. I was close to dnf but I said I would at least read to chapter ten before making that decision. So I didn’t dnf, as you can see, and it was a descent read.

I really enjoyed this hot romance between a boss and his new hire assistant. Archer is the owner of Clarke hotels and Hollie is trying to get a marketing job with the hotel. She gets an interview but not for the job she wants. It is for the personal assistant to Archer. Both have a mutual attraction from the get go but attempt to not act on it. If you like an alphahole, a sweet heroine, assistant and boss dynamic, some pretty hot and filthy sex, a misunderstanding and some pretty neat groveling - then this book is for you.

New author to me so I had high hopes for the heroine… imagine my disappointment after those hopes came crashing down around me lol. She hates her father but ends up with someone exactly like him? She just needed to admit to herself that she was codependent.

This is an entertaining quick and steamy romance. It’s instant attraction between between Hollie, who is interviewing for a job in the marketing department and Archer, the grumpy boss billionaire who hires her as his assistant because his previous one resigned. Though predictable, there’s secrets, drama, good friendships and side characters that easily make this book flow at a steady pace.

Wow. Just wow. I absolutely adored this book. I loved Hollie and Archer from the beginning. I know that’s very typical of me to say but it is 1000% true. from the moment she walked into his office till the extended epilogue. I was rooting for Archer and Hollie just to give in but was glad that it was waiting out so it gave them more of a story and bond.

it wasn't bad, but it wasn't amazing, I would say middle of the road for me, it might just be the fact this is the 3ed Boss employee romance I have read in the past week... but it wasn't bad. Plot was good, good twist to it, Smut was good, I did skim over one because the door was left open, and it was not really the right place. but it wasn't bad.

3.5 Stars. It started pretty boring and same kind of assistant thing. It felt very same like this trope up to 40% of the book, after that it picked up on. Can be read once, if you are interested in offices romance. Chemistry is also ok.

Hollie has just finished school and is looking for a job. But there a problem they never mention how hard it going be to find a job without some experience. But with some luck and also a little bit of connection she might get a job.
Archer is the owner of Clarke Hotels. He has recently fire his assistant and is in need of a new one. And so when Hollie comes for an interview for a the marketing job. He tell her that they are not hiring for an marketing jobs right now but if she want to be assistant instead.
This was a fun story to read. It has action, drama and adventure throughout. It also had a few funny parts that had me giggling and laughing to.

Let start by saying, this author was new to me and this isn't my usual read. But I found this book and liked the blurb.. Am glad I did!
Hollie is generally a sweetheart, a hard childhood, father who isn't interested and she finds herself landing a job as Archer assistant. Sparks fly... Archer a little older, grumpier and obsessed with work... Hollie knocks him off his socks off!
Great read. Sex scenes but tastefully done (I usualky read darker, smuttier) but I was caught up in the mmc's chemistry... It didn't bother me!

No cheating
