Precise overview of some the major philosophers throughout history. Described the progression and collaboration of Aristotle, Plato, Augustine, Aquinas, Hume, Holmes, Locke, Kant, Sartre, Camus, and Dawkins, and concisely defined logical positivism, existentialism, experientialist versus rational ethics, amongst other concepts.

A good starter course on understanding philosophy and the most famous and important philosophers of all time. Not very detailed, but meant for beginners.

Very good book for Philosophical history and personalities. Knowing the philosophers helps understand their philosophies and provides reference to their points of view.
