My name is Eddy Owensen and if you’re reading this, you already know I betrayed my family.

I did it to save my unborn child.

The first male born to the Owensen line in a century. A hybrid. One of a kind. And now everyone wants him.

I’m on the run, hunted for what I carry.

A chance encounter with the father, Khol, Alpha of the Bayou Crescent Pack changes everything. He didn’t know about our unborn child. But now that he does, he’s determined to protect us both.

“We’ll work this out together,” he says. Like it’s that simple.

It’s not.

Because magic is unraveling, danger is closing in, and we’re running out of time.

Until the Chosen emerges, the fate of our family and this child rests in my hands.

I don’t know if I’m strong enough to hold it.

Temptation is an 18+ Paranormal Romance that takes place 3 months after the events of Chosen. Temptation is book two of the Owensen Witches Series.

Started this book when I finished book one.

Interesting and exiting POV from Eddy Owensen, the woman who betrayed her family.
The author manages to make me feel sympathetic for her, despite what she had done. This adventure that she is the centre point in, leads to new places and persons.
Even though I didn't get much information on Neveah Owensen (MC book 1), it is interesting and well developed getting the story forward and leaving me wanting to know more.

Pleasantly surprised by the lack of adult content, I find this refreshing! So, picked up book 3 as we speak.

Temptation is a great follow up novella by Dreia. It follows Eddy and picks up where we left off in Chosen.
What I appreciate is how the author has a grasp on her characters and the direction she takes her story.
There are some great gems in this book that made me appreciate the humour of the author.
It's a RH and I liked how it wasn't driven by sex and how it wasn't the basis for the plot to be driven.
I am eagerly anticipating book three to come out.

Absolutely loving this series. Book two gives us Eddy’s story after what happens at the end of book one. And at the end of book two, has you desperately needing book three. I loved every moment of reading Eddy’s story. It made me laugh a few times especially with her wolves and Tia. Like book one, this book had me hooked right from the start. Highly recommend reading this series.

Temptation is an amazing second book for the series and kept me on the edge of my seat (or the edge of the page).
I loved how this book followed Eddy and her betrayal to save her unborn hybrid son.
I really enjoy the multiple point of views that Dreia uses. At one point your thinking "I wonder whats going on with Tia or Xavier" and then BAM! You find out in the next
Overall this was a great read and I did not expect some of the twists and turns. I can't wait to see where else this story takes me. Can't wait for book 3.

This book has really turned around since the first book of the series. It felt more natural and complete. Questions were answered and the story line was great. I enjoyed following the story of Eddy and Khol. I can't wait to see where the third book takes us

A witch on the run. An unborn child to break a curse. Be careful what you wish for, the Devil really is in the details.

Temptation is a Paranormal Romance from new author Dreia Wells. Although it is the second book in the Owensen Witches series, it is her first full length novel. Book one was released as a novella. There is romance in the book but it’s not the main focus. There are references to scenes of a sexual nature but no descriptive scenes.

The story is primarily set in America’s South and centres around pregnant Witch, Eddy Owensen, who is on the run from her family after betraying her cousin and handing her over to the Devil himself in order to protect her unborn child. Eddy’s son will be the first male born to the family in a century, breaking an old curse. To top it off, he will be both Witch and Wolf Shifter; the first hybrid. The supernatural world will be turned upside down and everyone wants a piece of this child.

The book is filled with a plethora of supernatural beings; Witches, Shifters, Vampires, Archangels, Demons and the Devil himself. There are chases, battles and family feuds but there is also love and the sense of the importance of family connection.

This book is leaps and bounds better than the first novella. I really enjoyed the story. The writing flows well and the world building is well thought out. The characters have developed well since book one and new characters have been brought in. The story did not take the direction I had thought it would after reading book one and it is so much better for it. I am very much looking forward to the next book. I want to see where this story goes and how the characters grow. Roll on book three!

Temptation was a terrific addition to the series and kept it going strong. This book follows Eddy and his betrayal to save a hybrid male born to his family.
We've gotten better insight to the characters and made them a little more relatable (despite the paranormal aspect).
The story has a great overall arc, and while you can't guess what will happen in the next book, readers can anticipate what they hope to happen.

I really enjoyed this book. For a RH book, the smut didn’t overpower the plot or the characterization of each character. The plot was well done and you can tell the author put a lot of thought into each character every step of the way. It was incredibly well done! I’m so glad the novella turned into a full length!

Great 2nd installment

After Eddys betrayal, we get to follow along with her next steps in this journey. Xavier makes a life altering choice. Tia struggles to accept all the changes going on.

The Owensens have so many obstacles coming at them at once. Looking forward to the next book.

It will cost you

The shade has been busy! All of his willing and dealing has definitely shifted the balance in the war against good and evil more towards evil’s side. The good have been on the defense and reacting to his schemes. The angels are relegated to being backup while the mortals are fighting the battles and taking on casualties. All of the supernaturals want a piece of the Owensens and they’re willing to do anything to get them, their powers and abilities.
Fate has a part in this too and even Shade is a pawn in this. Shade knows his time to strike is now so he infiltrated the tight knit Owensens through Eddy in her indiscretion which produced the first Owensen boy in ages. He needs to live, so she made a deal with the devil. This is fate happening too because the child will be a hybrid of epic power. He must live. Others, we learn in this book, have made their own deals as well either from desperation, despair, anger, and more. It costs them all greatly in the end.
Eddy is running for her life and the life of her child from family, other supernaturals, and her own guilt. She runs to her child’s father and secures his vow to protect and care for them. The thing is, she doesn’t know how to let someone else take care of her, so used to caring and protecting others. He and his betas make sure she has nothing to worry about and that she is in their good company - wink wink! “"Lean on those who love you. Let those who want to care for you do just that."
Tia is also out there doing her duties and she gets some unexpected help.
All in all, this was a fantastic read!

Really Eddy

I get why Eddy did what she did but damn Neveah was already going to give herself over to Shade in her own way, so way did eddy had to drug her and hand her over is crazy work, but again I understood why she did it, to save her unborn son which is the first boy born to the Owensen family in over 100 years. And even though she betrayed her family they were still willing to protect her once they found out about her pregnancy. But Eddy found her own little family with the father of her son who is a Alpha and his two betas. I love a good reverse harem.

Astonishing

This book was not what I was expecting. I didn't see Xavier cracking under the weight of Neveah's disappearance. That's when evil is more seductive, when one is in despair. That should have been the name of this book because everyone from, Eddy to Tia and Xavier is in some sort of despair. It will be most interesting how they turn it to joy. A wonderful read. You can't get enough.

So much going on

This book had so much drama and twists it was hard to put it down. I am absolutely loving all the characters. I'm looking forward to the next instalment or conclusion to the series. The last sentence in the epilogue was a shocker.

Well totally lost the main female character which I found odd. Glad she resurfaced at the end with teaser about change of affections which will entice me to finish reading. Nit a lot of steam between the characters so all very sweet.

Another good one

I really enjoyed this book, but the editing was lacking. I think it must have been written before the other books I've read because all of them were on point and easy to follow.

Wow

The story continues to keep me guessing about what’s happening next. The characters are still so in-depth and interesting. I just can’t stop turning the next page. I’m excited to start the next book in the series.

What a great second book!

I really enjoyed the way Dreia wrote this book. She stayed on the timeline, picking up right where things left off but didn't follow Neeva (the main character in book 1), instead she followed the other characters along their journeys. It was a breath of fresh air to have the focus on others.
I loved the way we see Eddys journey, and her view and her struggles. I also loved that she finally was able to accept being loved and letting others take care of her.
I can't wait to see more of Tia (hopefully!) and her journey with trying to navigate the Owensen mansion and her potential love life.
Ugggg honestly can't wait for The next book, too much too look forward to
