I couldn't get to this book fast enough after reading book I, Outcast and I was just as mesmerised by this book! Whilst the MC's in Outcast are Lahnni and Evan, Samarra and Harley play leading roles in this one. And what magnificent leading roles they play!

Samarra has been training her entire life to be the ultimate warrior. Proficient doesn't cover it, she excels and is, for all extents, unbeatable. Living a quiet life is Australia, her dream is to be an author. But her world is about to be turned upside down. She was always made aware of who she was but much has been kept from her by her parents Lahnni and Evan. Her curiosity gets the better of her when her father brings a new instructor into her dojo and she meets Harley. I loved how their behaviour and interactions pan out.

Harley, on the other hand, knows the reason he's come through the portal, only he definitely wasn't expecting to meet anyone, let alone Samarra, although he has no idea of her parentage. He's a bit pompous and arrogant, not in a nasty way, perhaps entitled might be the better term, he is a Prince after all! I enjoyed that he wasn't the typical stuck up Prince. He's considerate and willing to learn whatever is necessary. I liked the humble side to him, his realisation that he might not be the best. Needless to say, a budding attraction turns to way more, with some scenes between Samarra and Harley ultra hot.

So, he's sent to Lahnni and Evan for a purpose, he needs to secure his right as legal heir in his very divided country and realm. It's a complicated, complex situation and when the truth is revealed to Lahnni of her very pertinent role, she can't help but feel betrayed and horrified. Hells bells, their journey has just begun....

This was an extremely well paced book, I could feel the warmth from the characters, their conflicting thoughts, their emotions. I enjoyed how well thought out the storyline is, both worlds felt equally real. The political strife isn't the norm one would expect, but ambitious queens, each with their own agenda. Great read!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This follow up to book one focuses on Evan & Lahnni's daughter Marra, & her prince Fated Mate Harley.

It started a little slow for me, because I am older & don't retain a lot of memory of the previous book. But by 2/3's through, I couldn't put it down. The only thing I don't like about reviewing quality series is the time lag between being able to read the books. But it goes with the territory, lol!

The last 1/3 is especially entertaining, & the entire book has excellent character & world building; + plot twists.

Book 3 would appear to be focused on whether Marra can save both of them & their kingdom. Can't wait to read it!!

While I'm still exploring Ms Rune's writing, everything I've read has been very good. Reccomended.

I was so excited to read book 2 in the Right to Rule series! The author did a fantastic job pulling you into the story and building both worlds, the contemporary one, where we find Evan and Kahlahnni and their daughter Samarra, and the other world of Segarris, where prince Harlonngraith and Samarra must return to in order for Harley to have his Champion fight for his right to the throne. I don't want to give any spoilers away but I absolutely loved Samarra's character! She is strong, a trained fighter thanks to her father, loyal, and kind. Harlonngraith is kind, wants the best for his people, and is willing to learn in order to be the best leader. This book is full of tension, steam, excitement, and a few surprises and twists. I highly recommend reading this series and I can't wait for book 3 to be released.

Prince Harlonngraith needs a champion to fight for his kingdom, so Evan brings him to the contemporary world in search of one. Little did he know his daughter, Samarra, would be it.

Lethal has some of the main characters from the previous book, but the main focus has shifted to the daughter of those main characters. Marra is just an author, but she has vivid dreams of a different world. I loved that she's mostly just an ordinary person getting sucked into a fantastical world. I did question Harlonn's choice in her, but in the end she definitely showed more than I thought she should have been capabale of.

The book is a little cheesy to me, and mixes cliches together, making some supposedly serious situations, like Harlonn needing a champion or else he loses his kingdom, more laughable.

I really enjoyed this continuation of the Right To Rule series by Taya. It was like the storyline was effortless after where it left off in book one. There wasn't any confusion or having to go back to the end of previous book for me to check the past events of it for context purposes. All in all l, what I'm meaning is the shift into book two was nice and smooth which I enjoyed!

Now onto the good parts haha. I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about either of the character this part of the series at first but I fell in love with Marra and Harley. They are so perfectly paired that I seriously can't find any dislikes about their relationship. They just feel like a real couple in my opinion, with some extra gushiness thrown in maybe. Harley and Marraxs on page chemistry had me wanting to read more and more of the story as their relationship grew.

The ending of Lethal will definitely leave the reader wanting more. There were great plot twists and suspense building in book two!

When Prince Harlonngraith follows the Seers instructions to find his champion, he is surprised by who he finds. Marra is an aspiring author, who knows something big is about to happen.

The main characters in this book are easy to love. Marra is a strong, smart and hopefully lethal woman who loves her family and students. Harlonngraith is a handsome prince fighting for his nation and trying to figure out how to fit in where he has temporarily landed. We get to catch up with Evannderth and Kahlahnni again, which is always a good thing.

This is a wonderful steamy, fantasy romance that keeps you guessing all the way through the story. I can't wait for the next book in the Right To Rule series. I recommend this to any fantasy romance readers.

Lethal - the right to rule is book 2 in a series by Taya Rune.
Prince Harlinngraith is on a quest to find his champion and he sees it in soft spoken and aspiring author, Marra. But he worries that he has made the wrong decision as she has lived a sheltered life. Her vivid dreams have felt real and she can see that something is coming and she hopes that she can survive her fate.
I really enjoyed this steamy, fantasy romance. The story line was enough to keep me reading and the characters were believable. I can't wait to read more by the author.
I was gifted a e book copy of the book from the author in turn for a honest review.

Lahnni and Evan are still in this story, but the focus is on their daughter, Samarra and Prince Harlonngraith of Segarris. Evan has brought the prince from Segarris to the contemporary world for him to find his Champion to fight for his right to the throne. While in the contemporary world, Samarra and the prince begin to fall in love with each other; however, Marra is unaware of the existence of Segarris and the role her parents played in that realm.

I don’t want to spoil anything, but I loved this book and the way it unraveled. It ends with the Champion getting ready to fight for the throne. I’m excited to read the next book and see who wins the right to the throne.

Lethal the second book in the Right to Rule Series by Taya Rune was a great continuation of the series and a fabulous romance full of intrigue, secrets and of course steam that spans different worlds—the contemporary one where Evan, Kahlahnni and their daughter Samarra reside and the world of Segarris, where Marra will venture and soon find herself the champion to Prince Harlonngraith. A man that truly wants the best for his country and isn’t corrupted like other leaders

Overall if you love a story that’s full of tension, hot steam and enough twists, turns and surprise revelations yo keep you guessing then this is the one for you!

I am so happy we got book 2 and got peeks at Lahnni and Evan (YAY!!!) and get to know Samarra (Marra) and Harley. I just love these characters and this story. There is a lot of reacquainting yourself with these old friends and visiting new and old worlds, and the in between parts, Wink Wink.... Ohhhhhh, don't forget the reason for this amazing story, who will be the Champion?
As a reader these types of stories and books are always so fun to get lost in; the worlds, mystery, love, steam and it totally helps that I enjoy Ms. Rune's writing style.

I was so excited for book 2 in this series after reading the first one and Taya did not disappoint me. While this book focuses on the daughter, I loved the sprinkle of characters from the first book. I love that they are each awesome in their own rights. Warrior and prince come together to make the perfect coupling even if they don’t understand it at first.

This is the second book in the Right to Rule series. The continuation of character development and world building were great. I loved that this book was about Evan and Lahnni’s daughter Samarra from Outcast. Marra is an aspiring author but has also trained her whole life as a warrior. Harley is a Prince and enters the portal in search of a champion to help save his country from war. Marra’s dreams are making her more alert. But an attraction between Harley and Marra leads to some spicy scenes. Full of mystery, action, angst, emotions, secrets, journey, twists and turns and so much more. Can’t wait for book 3.
