I had such a hard time putting this down! This is a great palate cleanser. I wish the details about the motorcycle club were a bit clearer and fleshed out, but this was a great quick read.

Why the hell did his name have to be ‘Thad’?!? Ew. Hate it. Can’t take him seriously.
Then the rest of the book. I don’t know. I’m not sure I’d say it’s a bad book. I think it’s just trying too hard and I don’t like it.
Plus we don’t really get to know the characters very well. And I’m not liking their inner monologues….

A Great Beginning to a New Series
Scout/Riddler is the Prez of the new chapter of the Devils Handmaidens MC in Alaska which couldn’t come at a better time since her father was just murdered and she’s coming back home to avenge his death. She left nine years ago and left her great love behind in Alaska as well, who just happens to now be an Alaskan State Trooper who is also looking into her father’s death. Scout left with many secrets and returns with those secrets still just that. Thad never understood why Scout left all those years ago but as things begin to unravel, he is bound and determined to make her his again.
With Scout and Thad being on opposite ends of the law just how could any relationship work out. The DHMC main purpose is to save those who are dealt into human trafficking so maybe the biker and the trooper aren’t that far apart after all.
This book had it all with the suspense, steam and drama that made this a one sit read for me. I really look forward for more to come in this series.

As soon as I saw the blurb of this book, I knew that this would be the one for me. I just loved everything that this book had to offer me. I always love a good mc book, expecially when the woman is the one who's in the mc group. I also always love a good second-chance romance when he betrayed her before and he has to atone for his previous sins.
Everything about the set up of this book was just so good to me and I was super invested in everything that this book had to offer me. This was a wonderful book and I just had the best of time reading it.

This is a new series about Scout/Riddler, the President of the Devil’s Handmaidens and Thad, her old love and an Alaska State Trooper. This book has it all…murder, secrets, betrayal, intrigue, romance. This book sucks you in from the beginning and keeps your interest. I really can’t wait for the other book# in the series.

The idea of this storyline was good but execution missed the mark. There were inconsistencies in the story and some things made no sense.
H and h were “madly” in love as teenagers he was 18 and she was 16. He was leaving out of HS to start training. This is the first plot miss, H leaves early without h knowing and does not tell her, she goes to his house to tell him she is pregnant and his Mom and his ex from before her setup the h to believe the H cheated. It really made no sense they pretended he was in the bedroom refusing to see her. Anyway, they force her to sign some whipped up out of the blue agreement not to tell anyone she was pregnant and gave her a cheque to abort the baby. She leaves town but apparently she fucks someone before she goes because she thought it was true about H. A scared 16 year old who is pregnant decides to fuck someone else before leaving town. Not really logical plot point. Meanwhile H is told she cheated and just blindly believes it. He goes on to marry a new OW it’s not said how long after but he is divorced and has a 4 year old son from it. So based on their ages at most it was 5 years after but more likely sooner. Hated that he married someone else and had a kid when he was still young.
The two are separated for 10 years and see each other when she comes home due to her Dad being murdered she returns with her “sisters” she is the prez of a MC that part was interesting but not developed enough. H is a jerk to her at first and the jumping of days and weeks after they see each other makes no sense. The original OW is still there trying to get H back and is lying and acting like a teenager another plot point made no sense. The H figures out what happened and he makes it clear he wants the h and their daughter he knew nothing about. The h is suing the H’s mother and OW because of the agreement she was forced to sign. She never cashed the cheque which was another plot hole. How come the mother did not notice she never cashed it? The H and h have sex and there is some back and forth. HEA
The premise was solid but it lacked full development. The all woman MC that rescues women was a great idea but the author focused more on the clothes they were wearing to the bar she now owned. There was mention of conflict for the mains because he is law enforcement and she is part of the MC but this was not developed fully just mentioned a couple of times. There is no real backstory on the H how or why he married another woman. What he was thinking when he was told she cheated, why he never sought her out for her side. There was a bunch of missed opportunities to round out the story. The writing style was not bad but it was rushed so much that I felt like I was trying to finish the story myself.

Interesting premise for this MC book, with an all female Club. While it seemed the dynamics within the Club wewre similar to those found in an all male MC, it didn't seem quite realistic. Don't get me wrong, I am totally all for a female MC, but the blatant exceptance by the Male clubs, doesn't ring true. And while I am sure there are many women in this world that enjoy and do shoot shots of Whiskey, it seemed like this story was the same as other MC books only with women leading rather than the men.
Not sure I wuill read the next book in this series. while the writing ws done well, there were editing issues that had me stopping and dropping from the scene in order to figure out what was acttually meant. Not a good thing.

I loved this story and I couldn't put it down. I sincerely can't wait to read more these amazing MC sisters and their families.

Scout and Thad—she’s the president of the new MC in town; he’s the law. When they were younger, they were a couple deeply in love, though she was still in high school. Then she disappeared and he never knew why. He broke her heart; she shattered his. All because of his mother’s lies. So now she’s back in town with a daughter who looks like a mix of the two of them. And her father’s been murdered. So many things—his mother’s deception exposed, her ex getting out of prison way before he should, Thad’s father moving in with him. And in the end, they’re back together and ready for their HEA.

Wrecked was okay but it honestly could have been a lot better with more character and story development. I like the idea of a women’s motorcycle club who save others from being trafficked but I feel like that wasn’t explored nearly enough. The connection between Scout and Thad was a bit hard to buy, especially since they were so young when they first dated and they both moved on really fast. Then they reunited very quickly with minimal communication about what happened. There was a lot of telling and not enough showing and there were also a large amount of spelling and grammar errors.

Needed way more of a backstory on every character involved. The book was too short for this plot.
As soon as Scout mentioned that name I just knew so it became pointless. Everything is solved too quickly.

I always will love a good Mc romance but when you have a female prez I don’t see that often this shows you just what a strong independent woman would do for all the people she loves and the family she created while they all endure the challenges of life, such a good read!

Wow ! I love this story ! Scout has a 9 year old daughter and is back home after her dad has been murdered . The father has no idea she is his . The MC she is president of goes after people who take children . I love the characters and can’t wait for more books about them . This is a book that I could have read from start to finish without putting it down I’d my schedule would have allowed it .

This is the first book in this new series. Scout is the Prez of this new chapter of the Devil’s Handmaiden Chapter. She always planned to come home just not quite so soon. Her father was killed recently. Her father’s death isn’t the only issue she is going to face when she gets home. The boy who broke her heart all those years ago is still there. Seeing him again will hurt but she can take it. She can’t avoid him though because he is the investigator on her father’s case. He doesn’t understand why she doesn’t want anything to do with him. She is hiding something and has some thoughts on what it might be. He needs to get down to the bottom of what happened between them all those years ago and figure out what happened to her father as well. Scout and Thad have to much between them to work now. There are secrets, misunderstandings, plus they are sometimes on different sides of the law. Or could things work? Thad isn’t going to give up so easily. Will he be able to get a second chance with Scout? I loved this series. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. These ladies are fantastic and I need all their stories. Wonderful job E.M. Shue.

Wrecked is the 1st book in E.M. Shue's Devil's Handmaidens MC: Alaska Chapter series is the 1st book I've read of E.M. Shue's and 1st I've read in this series. And I have to say I really enjoyed it and will be reading more. I wish it wouldn't have taken me this long to find this series. This read is a second-chance romance full of twists and turns, lies and betrayal, and heartache, and it gets pretty steamy. It's really nice to read about a female MC since there aren't many I have found out there to read.
In this book, we get to meet all the members of the Devil's Handmaidens Alaska chapter. A family tragedy brought Scout and her daughter Sky home to Alaska to open her MC chapter after leaving 10 years earlier after having her heart broken and being betrayed. But the events that made her leave in the 1st place are nowhere near over. Now she has to prepare to finally deal with what happened with her ex Thad who's now a state trooper. Things keep happening in their town and it all leads back to Scout. There was a lot happening in this book. An enemy circling striking whenever he wants and then small-town gossip and lies. Like the ones that made Scout leave home pregnant when she did. How Thad turned out to be a good man like he is was amazing to me considering what his mom was like. And Scout is an amazingly strong woman to go through what she did, becoming a single mom to a pretty awesome little girl, finishing school, and becoming a successful businesswoman when the odds were against her. This book is a good example that love can actually conquer all when you're meant to be together. And sometimes a second chance is really what you need.
I gave this book a 4-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. I loved how this book kept me engaged making me try to figure out who was hurting everyone around her and what Thad's mom would do next. I can't wait to read about River the VP and Frenchie the Secretary. They were 2 of my favorite characters introduced in this book. The steamy scenes were HOT! I wish the book would have been a bit longer so there could have been more. Overall, this book was really enjoyable and I definitely recommend reading it. I can't wait for the next book Rattled to come out.

Wrecked by E.M. Shue is book one in the Devil’s Handmaidens MC: Alaska Chapter and boy is it an emotional ride. The book tells the story of Scout aka Riddler who is President of the new Devil’s Handmaiden MC in Alaska and Thad. Both of the have a complex history and are on different sides of the law. Years ago, Riddler left with a lot of secrets and has come back to Alaska with just as many as she tries to find out what happened to her father. Thad, never understanding why Riddler left has some resentment towards her, but it is only through him finding out the truth, that his card of lies falls apart and he is determined to have Riddler in his life again, no matter how complicated that might be.
This story had a lot of secrets, betrayal and drama with lots of twist and turns, all which seem to lead back to Riddler, and not necessarily her fault. I love that she is a strong character who does have a streak of vulnerability that runs through her. She doesn’t put up with Thad and his ultimatums and is a wonderful mum to her young daughter. The feelings that her and Thad have for each other are complex but passionate and also complicated, making this a wonderful and suspenseful read.
There are some great characters in this book and I can’t wait to see what more this series has to offer!

Wrecked is the fantastic start to the Devil's Handmaidens MC Alaska series, and I'm HERE FOR IT ALL! FIrst of all, obviously this means the #GIRLPOWER is so epic which is always perfect in my eyes since we women rock! Scout/Riddler is coming home to start this new chapter in Alaska as President, and it's perfect for her since she is determined to avenge her father's murder, not to mention, the chapter will set up shop to help more trafficked women. Of course since this is her home, there are some other things she's going to have to confront, like the love of her life, Thad, who is ready to find out why she ran so long ago. She has secrets she's been holding close to the vest, and now it's time to face off with them, not to mention, maybe just maybe she'll finally get the happily ever after she's denied herself for so long. Thad is determined to make her his again, but there are some other things in their path as well as they're on opposite sides of the law which could prove to be complicated however, the feelings never really went away. Of course there's also the suspense portion of the program that the twists coming in hot which made this story super exciting so yeah, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Excellent Read. Ms. Shue is a new author for me, but I picked up Wrecked because I love the Devil's Handmaidens MC Series and their cause. She most certainly didn't disappoint me. With Wrecked, the author gave us a well written, awesome storyline with wonderful characters in the first installment of the Alaska Chapter.
Scout/Riddler left her hometown 10 years ago after the love of her life, Thad, a state trooper, devastated her. She is now a part of the Devil’s Handmaiden’s MC and has a young daughter. When tragedy strikes, Riddler must return to her hometown. But she returns with a group of her MC sisters to start the Chapter in Alaska, as the newly appointed Prez. Thad and Riddler are living two different lifestyles but their chemistry can’t be denied.
The storyline is jam packed and kept me glued to the pages: Murder, Betrayal, Deception, Suspens, Action, Romance. Yep, it’s all wrapped up in an outstanding storyline that I highly recommend you don’t miss out on.
Grab Up Book 1 of the Devil's Handmaidens MC, Alaska Chapter, you won’t regret it. As for this reader she can't wait for more from Ms. Shue and these bad to the bone women.

The storyline is jam packed and kept me glued to the pages: Murder, Betrayal, Deception, Suspens, Action, Romance. Yep, it’s all wrapped up in an outstanding storyline that I highly recommend you don’t miss out on.

I love the fact that a women's MC is the new series direction.
Scout is the President of the Devil's Handmaiden's MC. She is strong, independent, and determined to be the best leader that she can be. She rean away from home a long time ago. But tragedy brings her back to her hometown.
Thad is a local law enforcer, and he may be in the way of what Scout's MC is there for. However, with the past connection that they share, he may just be her salvation.

Tragic, suspenseful, secrets revealed, action packed, and second chances.
She had planned to return home at some point, but she wasn't planning to do it so soon. She had a time line, but someone moved that time line up on her. Now she's in danger in her home state of Alaska. Good thing she has her MC sisters behind her and more on the way. She also has the love of her life behind her, but they need to clear the air first. Scout's secret is going to be revealed, she isn't sure how she's going to deal with it, but she will.
Thad is the lead investigator on the case that brings Scout back home. Their past is unresolved. They both believe the other to have been the reason for their pain but when secrets are revealed about their past will they be able to work together to protect Scout's family? Thad's life after Scout wasn't a happy one, but the one part of that he doesn't regret is his son.
I really enjoyed this book. It's a great chapter of the Devil's Handmaidens and I can't wait to read more of this chapter.

Wow! A female MC in Alaska! She'd planned to return after ten years and a broken heart. Little did she know her heart could break all over. But she was back to set up her MC chapter and find the murderer responsible for the condition of her heart.
An amazing read about strong women who do what few can save those often forgotten. The death of her father puts her on the trail of bad people she and her club plan to demolish.
The love in her past is now the local law. How will that play into any future for them? The Law vs. an MC. Will he find the truth and why she left? The secret she took with her?
Great characters and storyline, plenty of action and steam, loyalty, and so much more. This one is hard to put down--even for a minute--so bring a drink and probably some tissues.
A good one I heartedly recommend.

This is the first book in a new series, and this is Scout / Riddler and Thad’s journey. Riddler has her heart broken by Thad when she was 17 years old, and she is now the President of the Devil’s Handmaidens MC, and she returns to her hometown when her dad is murdered, and she is shocked to find out that Thad is the detective investigating his death. Can these two work together to solve the murder? This is a well written story which is raw, gritty, and action-packed, emotional roller coaster, with trust, loyalty, heartbreak, family, friendships, second chances, lies, manipulation, betrayal, redemption, secrets, suspense, danger, twists, and love, which leads to an entertaining and addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This riveting read will take you on a roller coaster ride with twists and turns you won't see coming. This has murder, danger, lies, secrets, betrayal, threats and kidnapping. Scout/Riddler ran from Ptarmigan Falls when she was a teenager to Widows Creek, Kentucky to live with her aunt. She is president of her MC. Riddler hadn't been home in ten years but returned when her father was murdered. Thad is an Alaska State Trooper and was a helicopter pilot in the military. He is raising his son Ryder after his mother left them when he got out of the service. Wonderful storyline that you can sink your teeth into with amazing characters that are strong females heading up the new MC in Alaska.

What an awesome read! Not only a page turner, but this book brings secrets, lies, betrayal and so much more. It’s all about second chances between Thad and Scout. What surrounded their breakup ten years back will shock you! Scout has come back to town with her daughter (wait til you find out who her dad is) after her father was murdered. Who did it and why? Thad is on the case. He’s determined to find out the who and why. He wants to also be with Scout again. Will she give him another chance? How will their relationship pan out? Scout seems to push Thad away all the time, but there is definitely a pull there between them. They seem to connect amazingly. Scout is one tough cookie when her life is put danger on more than one occasion. She’s also an awesome mom who puts her daughter first.
