Sometimes, beauty covers a whole lot of ugly. That was one of the many valuable lessons I learned the summer I lived in Creswell Springs with the Angel’s Halo MC. They taught me about responsibility and respect—not just for others, but, more importantly, for myself. I liked to think I came home a better person. Someone who wasn’t just pretty on the outside anymore.
And then I met Zak.
Golden eyes. Chiseled jaw. That deep, gravelly voice mixed with a slight Russian accent that did something to me no man ever had before. The way he looked at me, I didn’t just feel beautiful—I felt powerful. Before I knew it, I’d fallen for him. My heart was in his hands. But did he want to cherish it…or crush it?
Terri Anne Browning is a USA TODAY bestselling author. Being dyslexic, she never thought a career in writing would be possible, yet she has been on bestselling lists multiple times since 2013. Reese: A Safe Haven Novella was her first Indie published book. The Rocker Who Holds Me changed the tables and kicked off The Rocker... series featuring the sinfully delicious members of Demon's Wings. The Rocker... Series is now complete with 12 books and the occasional novella. Other books by Terri Anne include the Angel's Halo MC Series, as well as The Lucy & Harris Novella Series, The Vitucci Mafiosos Series, and The Tainted Knights Rocker Series.
Terri Anne lives in Virginia with her husband, their three demons---err, children--and a hyper Frenchie named Grunt.
This book 100% redeemed Sofia in my eyes. I wasn’t sure what to think of her when we first met her but in this book Terri Anne showed growth and strength and gave her a “hero” that could hold his own, could allow her to grow and still feel confident and safe. The angst was perfect and felt real, not contrived as many books do. I loved the cameo from Raven and how this book wasn’t about her time in Creswell Springs but more about her now.
What I liked: I liked how we got to see the women come together to help Sofia(h). I also liked how they took care of the grandfather.
What I didn’t like: I thought this book would have been better if it was longer. The relationship between Sofia and Zak happen too fast and I wished we got to read it instead it jumping to them being together. Also, I needed to know why Anya decided to help Sofia’s biological mom (she said she owed her but it wasn’t said why)…maybe this was answered in a different book??
Major Spoilers/ Details/Triggers: The h in the beginning is staying with the MC because her parents want her to change her attitude (they knew that Raven can get her to be a better person). She goes home and goes to her mom’s charity where she meets the H. H actually knows about the h and is there to get her to marry him. h was adopted and the H was raised by the h’s biological grandfather. H’s brother was married to the h’s biological mother and when the mother divorced him she took the H. So H is sent to get the h to marry and have a baby so that the families can unite. The story jumps with h basically living with the H and finds out she is pregnant. H proposes and she says yes. The H’s “family” comes for the rehearsal and h meets them. h goes to see H and overhears how he is marrying her for the grandfather. h gets upset and runs. h’s brother finds her. Seeing that she is bleeding they take her to the hospital. There the H comes and explains everything (that he truly does love her and that he wasn’t with her for the grandfather but because he can’t live without her). h overhears and goes sees the grandfather. While there the H and the rest of his “family” comes and they take care of the grandfather. HEA with them getting married and her pregnant with second child.
Final thoughts: This was just ok for me. Like I mentioned above if it was a longer book I think I would have liked it better. Definitely will be reading the next book.

When Sofia's trip to Creswell Springs was first mentioned at Tavia's wedding I was so sure her book was going to be next but after other books in the series came out and no news of her history being told were announced I kind of lost the hope of getting to know more about this bratty princess, but omg the wait was worth it!!!! The angst was amazing, I would have loved to see her more with the MC and all their people but the few scenes where they were mentioned are enough for this fangirl, Zak is sooooo cute and knowing the history of him and Sofia, and how it intertwines till now is chef's kiss, I knew there was more there the moment he showed up at the charity event!!!! The one thing I will complain is the lack of sexy times, this is story is completely void of sex scenes although they are hinted we just one fado to black scene, but the author got us so hot and bothered that I tough the scene was going to be hotter than the one Ryan and Nova got which until now continues to be my favorite.
This is just a fun and simple read. I think that the story was too short to really draw me into the emotions that were there in the story but I enjoyed it all the same.
Zak is supposed to make Sofia fall in love with him in order to solidify power for his surrogate father. He is not interested and is only going through with the plan to appease his father until he meets Sofia and falls in love with her on the spot. Sofia was once a spoiled girl but she has begun to work on herself, becoming strong and someone who she is proud to be. She thinks that being with Zak will set her back in her journey but she also can’t resist him.
This story was really cheesy but it was also a fun read. I think that the original books that sprouted this series were better because they were longer and allowed for more of an emotional connection but I am finding this fun to read as well. You definitely can not read this book without reading all of the connected series. I don’t know that I would read this again. There are definitely better books by this author that I prefer.
In this book we get Sofia Volkov & Zak Morozov. When this book opens we find that tough love is what really made Sofia look inside herself. Now she is back in New York and is still determined to keep up the progress she learned in Creswell Springs. Zak was something Sofia never saw coming though. Zak cannot believe how quickly he wants the woman in front of him. The thing is he knows he has secrets and if she ever learns the truth he knows he will lose her forever. Can these two find a HEA or are there people more powerful than them both trying to control their destiny?
Another amazing hit by this author. I am already a huge fan of this author and this book definitely did not disappoint. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Sofia Sacrificed was a novella associated with the Angel’s Halo MC Second Generation by Terri Anne Browning. Although it crossed over with the MC, it continued the mafia family second generation.
I’m taking a break from my normal review process at the moment but a few quick thoughts: I liked both Sofia and Zach, although it was easy not to like Zach sometimes. It was suspenseful with an evil vibe, much like the previous story in the series, Cruel Surrender. It was also entertaining and enjoyable and I liked how they solved the conflict. It was another great mafia story tucked into the Angel’s Halo MC series.
It took me a minute to remember all the players. We don't see the mafia side of the MC as much. Once I figured out who was who, the story just took off.
Sofia has always been a brat--spoiled princess--high maintenance. Spending the summer with the MC family has helped her to realize not only the value of hard work, but also her value as a person.
She isn't prepared for Zak and she makes him work for it. Everything is wonderful until it is not. Rally all the strong women in this extended family and they will move mountains for you. Sofia is so loved by everyone and she desires happiness as well.
Loved the epilogue. Just perfect! Great addition to the whole series.
Sacrificed. Angels Halo MC Next Generation book 5. Sofia, rich, spoiled and oh so frustrating. We met Sofia in previous books in the series. She is sent to Raven as punishment but also to grow the heck up. When she comes back home, she's a bit more mature. She meets Zakhar at her mom's charity event. Zakhar is a total alpha with a WTF backstory. The chemistry is off the charts. However there are so many secrets, miscommunication and betrayal. High drama, extra angsty, smexy and hella crazy. A great read.
I'm glad she was able to see past the materialistic things in life. To realize the true self worth and values. Even if it caused her pain. You could that Zak thought he was getting someone totally opposite from what he got. That's why he the love flamed so fast. For the wrong reasons on his part. Which was good! Sofia ended up with a spine of steel. But, still a heart of gold. I really enjoyed this book! And, I'm glad Sofia got to meet her biological parents.
I still think she is over entitled. I love this author and most of her books. Sometimes though the h is too weak and fragile but still a good read. Raven is still my favorite. Without giving everything away I want to say Sofia making him give up all he knew for her is a bit much and it bothers me allot. Especially since his country is also her and her adopted parents country. I'm not sure she loves him enough
I was disappointed. I have read all the Angels Halo MC, The Rockers and the Mafia books. I was looking forward to see what biker ( see title) she would end up with. To my surprise the bikers were not in this book. The wives and females were but not the biker. It’s well written.
Sofia was a spoiled entitled mafia princess. But one summer with Raven in Creswell Springs and she has been reborn. Now she knows who she is and what she truly wants in life. That is until she meets Zak. One look at him and her world changes. She just didn’t know how much or what he had in store for her.
This was an amazing read. You are by for my most favorite author. I love everything you write. This story was so sweet and hard me in tears at the end. Can't wait for the next one.
The only problem I have with Terri Anne Browning's books is that they end and she can't possibly write them fast enough! This one was another page turner that I couldn't put down until the very last page.
TAB does not disappoint in her story telling. Sofia and Zak are everything in this novella. There is emotion, an emotional pull, and a resolution that tugs at your heart. The only downside, it’s a TAB novella.
I wasn't sure what to think when Terri announced she was doing a book for Sophia, but since it was a TAB book I knew I'd one click it no matter what, and I'm glad I gave Sophia a chance. Congrats Terri on another amazing book! I can't wait for the next one.
Terri Anne Browning did it again! Loved Sophia and Zac's story. I loved watching Sophia coming into her own, and becoming a strong woman. She needed to be after meeting Zac, falling in love and dealing with secrets about her life and family. I couldn't put it down.
Amazing as always . Once I picked it up I couldn't down. I will be pretending to patiently wait for the next thing you write while obsessively checking your author page for updates.
I think because I never really cared for Sofia may be part of why this book was kinda meh. Everything felt rushed, we didn't get to really see her transformation, or them fall in love, or really anything of substance.
Wow what a story, it has all the feels of a love made in heaven, and then heartbreak in an instant, but what will it take to get it back on track. Be prepared for some shocks and some cheers.
Terri Anne Browning never ceases to amaze me with each book I read of hers. I love how she always seems to intertwine one series of books with the other’s. I love them all and have them all and rereading them all the time.
Agree the ladies or badass . Sofia allowed the mc to be around which is cool love Raven. Zak is sexy but all the fellas or sexy. Related to bikers ,rock stars and mafia, Brava
