Love this book! I happened upon it by accident (if there is such a thing) and it resonated with me from the very first paragraph, where I found myself already underlining a passage. The premise of strengthening the right brain through art to create self-awareness and change makes perfect sense...and it actually works. I have tried many of the creativity workouts already, and can't wait to try more. This book will be an ongoing reference to me as a parent, as a student of creativity, as a teacher of creative pursuits, and as a human being who wants to stay connected to my artist within.

The Artist Within provides great exercises and challenges for getting in touch with your creative side--even (especially) if you didn't know you had a creative side. Whitney Ferre helps readers realize that we all have a creative, right-brained side. In today's culture, there is often a lack of value placed on creative activities. By opening up our creative, right mind, we gain access to our "hidden genius."

I haven't completed all of the exercises in this book yet but I have seen the value in those I have and would recommend this to anyone wanting to find their creativity.

I love how this book is helping me find the creativity in me again. For a long time it had been lost and only at times has come out. I want it to be with me all the time and forever.
