Logo designers are obliged to learn about market positioning, to communicate effectively with client, and conceive an idea thoroughly before a quick and precise execu-tion is possible. Focusing on design thinking, the book showcases an array of distinguished logos, which fall into four categories: typogra-phy, plants, animals, and geometry. I'm not a designer but I like looking at clever and beautiful logo designs. This book was probably 3* at most as a guide to designing them, but I liked the fact that the logos came from more places than North America and Europe - Asia and the Middle East were very much represented. There were a couple of kanji/hanzi-based ones that were very good. I like geometric logos very much too, I discovered from reading this, although I really should have known that about myself already.
