The Collector knocked upon Brom’s door… ... told him he was chosen.
Was this the chance of a lifetime or a death sentence?
Being chosen meant Brom could learn magic at the Champions Academy, something only the most talented were selected to do. So Brom took The Collector’s hand and left his family behind.
But when he arrived at the school, he discovered the truth. He must form a Quad. Bonding with three violent classmates was the one path to magic…
...and the only way to survive.
Can Brom bridge a decades-old feud between two mortal enemies, tame a vicious little urchin, and make them into a Quad before they are expelled?
You’ll love this epic fantasy, because what’s a little bloodshed among friends?

Fahnestock brings together the tales of four very different young magic users in a taut, fast-paced epic fantasy thriller mashup. The story's original serialization does come through at times (usually through repeated narrative meant to remind a reader what happened earlier). That, however, is the only fault I find with Tower of the Four. I grew charmed by Brom and cared for his Quad mates as the story grew. Readers of Patrick Rothfuss will love Tower of the Four.
This series has the high stakes and breakneck pace of Hunger Games with a dash of a fantastical school and plenty of dark twists. Fahnestock keeps me guessing and has me falling in love with characters I never expected to.
