No big deal. Between my experience and my brilliant recipes, becoming the new owner of Tiers of Delight should be a piece of cake.
Except it’s not.
Even though I’ve worked for years to see my name, Phoenix Nelson, followed by “Owner” on my name tag, Cornelia Evans waltzed into the bakery two years ago and believes she’s entitled to this place as much as I am. She is the bane of my existence. A spoiled rich kid who is given everything she wants.
Only, in the heat of one hatred-filled moment, everything changes.
Is she everything I’ve always despised, or is she the opposite of what I thought I knew?

Enemies to lovers, slow burn, opposites attract, rom coms are my kryptonite and Tiers of Delight hit the spot!
I loved Cornelia and Phoenix! These two were complete opposites and the tension between them was explosive! I love romances with competitions which turn into more and Tiers of Delight was so much fun!
I loved everything about this book and I can’t wait for more from Iannah Roberts!
Dual POV and the couple gives each other nicknames?🙌🏻 But also, how amazing is the name Phoenix?!
Iannah took the usual path of enemies to lovers and gave these two an INCREDIBLE story. I feel like I can get into a ‘romance slump’ where you feel like you just read the same thing over and over but different names.. NOT THIS.
Also, I am usually not a baking trope person but it was too cute. Showing that MCs can be different but not necessarily in bad ways was eye opening, I feel like a lot of authors do not do that but wow so amazingly well written!
I want to thank Iannah for the ARC and say that all opinions/thoughts are my own! Go get this freaking sweet (pun intended) book now❣️
This book is unlike most I read. I’m usually reading dark romances. Very fast paced and very dark. This was very light and fluffy, in a good way. It was definitely a slow burn, which at first I was not liking it, but boy once it hit, I was all about it. This book is one of my faves of the year! Also makes me wanna try more rom-coms. So happy to have read this!
Tiers of Delight was honestly A DELIGHT! The love that Cornelia and Phoenix have for each other is beautiful 🥰 Something I truly loved about this book was that it shows to always know your worth and that of others. Follow your heart and never stop leading with love. Well done, Iannah Roberts ♥️
This is by far one of my favorite reads this year. This slow burn, enemies to lovers, rom-com has all the right ingredients to make you fall in love.
Iannah has such a way with words. From her descriptions, to her pacing and dialogue, you will find yourself transported to Tiers of Delight Bakery. You will feel all the tension, heat, and heart that Phoenix and Cornelia have. I fell hard for both characters as well as several of the side characters. Heck this book made me go out and by a beanie. I’m DYING to return to this world.
With its current owner Winnie retiring, Tiers of Delight Bakery is looking for a new owner. A competition begins to determine who is the best fit. The rules are simple. Create a new items for customers to enjoy and market it on social media. Whoever has the most success wins.
Phoenix knows he deserves Tiers. He has been beside Winnie for years. Tiers of Delight is his home. His family may be warm and loving but Tiers is where he is meant to be. He’s instinct when it comes to recipes is unmatched. And his new danish will prove he is the obvious choice, even if he doesn’t like to leave the kitchen and handle the business side of operations let alone post on social media. Who needs all that hassle when Tiers is perfect just the way it is.
Cornelia may be newest to Tiers but she loves it just as much as Phoenix, if not more. Growing up in a cold family more focused on money and success she needs the love of the bakery. And while she can bake something always felt slightly off about her own recipes. A fact that Phoenix loves to point out. However this completion isn’t based on desserts alone. And when it come to photography and promotion she has this competition on the bag.
When the dust settles and a winner is chosen feelings intensify. As the temperature between both enemies rises and comes to a boiling point both are left with feelings they don’t quite understand. But are they willing to cool off enough to find out if they might be exactly what each other needs?
It’s been so long since I’ve read a baking competition book and man this is the perfect summer enemies to lovers rom com. Cordelia and Phoenix find each other annoying and basically hate being in the same room together in the beginning, but during the competition, and afterwards they start to see the people they actually are rather than the versions of each other they’ve created.
Phoenix and his family show Cordelia warmth, love, and happiness without conditions which is something her family lacks in so many ways. Cordelia was everything her family wasn’t but she didn’t quite believe anyone but especially Phoenix could see her past her family, which ends up being true in some ways and wrong in so many others. The conflict between Cordelia and her family brings up a lot for Phoenix and he has to figure out if he is willing to stick it out.
This is my first Iannah Roberts book and I’ll definitely continue reading her books as this one was rom com perfection!
This is one of those books that you wait to come out in the summer to ready by the pool or on the beach and just spend time reading it. It’s not only sweet but the two main characters have spicy chemistry. So I say take a summer evening and pick the book up and read it outside in the summer heat and enjoy this really sweet book.
Wow! Just wow! Cornelia and Phoenix are everything! Romcoms aren’t normally my thing but man this one had me wanting more with every page. It’s a sweet little slow burn with the right amount of spice. I absolutely loved the banter and passion between the two main characters. Everything from the amazing side characters to the descriptions were so beautifully written. Thank you Iannah Roberts for the ARC read! Tiers of Delight is deserving of all the praise and I recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet enemies to lovers story with a happy ending!
Iannah has done it again! While a hard left away from the traumatic stories of her Firefly series, Tiers of Delight still sparkles with Iannah’s personal style and wit. Corny and FiFi are worth every page turn and every moment of frustration! These two were each half of a whole and the fact they couldn’t see it…just …UGH. Fortunately, they do eventually and I loved going on that ride with them. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
It's a beautifully crafted romcom, and Cornelia and Phoenix are just the best characters surrouded by a host of amazingly colourful characters.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading how Cornelia and Phoenix tried to hide their attraction behind hatred while competing against each other to win the bakery, as their feelings, attraction and relationship became so much more.
This book was the sweetest book I have ever read. I love Phoenix!! This book was so heart warming. A fantastic enemies to lovers romance. Cornelia and Phoenix are the perfect couple and the insecurities they overcome. Amazing!!!!
I love love loved this book. Phoenix and Corny are the cutest couple ever they have the best “puddle melting” vibe EVER!!! The love they shared gah…her family was awful and his family showed her what she missed her whole life. While taking over Tiers even though she thought she didn’t deserve it and the secret that you don’t find out about until the very end is everything.
I liked how Iannah describes the facial features of the FMC and MMC it’s so detailed that you literally can see it in your mind!!!!
What a sweet and enjoyable book. Ms. Roberts delivers an enemies-to-lovers romance that is a slow-burn, sweet romance where the storyline is beautifully written and intriguing. The two MCs seem to be complete opposites that have a connection which is the bakery where they work. Tiers of Delights gives us two people who seem to have this love-to-hate relationship, or is it? Corny (Corneila) and FiFi (Phoenix) are fighting for the ownership of the bakery where they both work. Each of them has their own strengths that are needed to make the bakery run. The more they worked together the more the feelings that they had for one another seemed to come to the surface. The sexual tension was so strong that you would need a knife to cut through it. Corny comes from an affluent family that is too uptight, and controlling. Were as FiFi's family is the down-to-earth type who embraces you with open arms. When the winner is announced things got even more interesting. When the sparks ignited the flames were strong and impossible to put out. Tiers of Delight is definitely a book that you would want to pick up, grab a pastry and enjoy.
Tiers of Delight (Serenity Cove #1) by Iannah Roberts is a contemporary, enemies-to-lovers workplace romantic comedy told in first person, dual POV. The story follows the relationship between Phoenix “FiFi” Nelson and Cornelia “Corny” Evans, coworkers at a bakery who are competing with each other to become the new owner.
I loved Corny and FiFi’s story! In many ways they were opposites, but that’s what made them so perfect for each other. Their interactions were so much fun to read, full of witty banter and crackling chemistry. Tiers of Delight had a great blend of humor, sweetness, warmth, and spice. It was simply delightful. I’m looking forward to reading whatever comes next.
This was a slow burn, enemies to lovers and I couldn’t get enough! Phoenix is more of the silent a broody type and Cornelia was the perfect opposite with the more outgoing and bubbly personality.
We even had a baking competition which was such a fun twist in the story and the catalyst to Phoenix and Cornelia’s love story unfolding.
I loved watching them break down their barriers with each other and realizing their true feelings for one another.
This was such a lighthearted and fun read with all the ingredients to make it a beautiful love story!
Also let’s give some love to the side character known as Phoenix’s beanie collection. 😂 I adored how that was his signature thing.
I highly recommend this book, and I can’t thank the author enough for the chance to ARC read this book!
As much as I love the entire Firefly Inn series... this is Iannah's best work to date! She absolutely outdid everything she's written prior to this and blew me away in the process. I have fallen SO HARD for Phoenix and Cornelia, Winnie, Lennox, and all of the characters introduced to us here. This tiny town is the slice of heaven readers are looking for when they pick up a book to escape their life. Well done Iannah! I love it! See y'all on another page!
This is a new Author to me and she made me a fan of hers after reading this book! I devoured this book in one sitting that’s how good it is! Just loved it! It’s an enemies to lovers romance. This is Cornelia and Phoenix’s story! I just love them both to pieces. I can’t wait to read more from this Author!!!!
What a wonderful book! Slow burn, enemies to lovers, and rom com what more could you want? Love the main characters Fifi and Corny (yes those are nick names) they seem to ebb and flow so well. Give and take makes this story wonderful! Definitely a must read!
Corny (Cornelia/Lia) and FiFi (Phoenix) start out as enemies working side by side in a bakery. Both of them are blinded by first impressions and assumptions about the other. I kinda wanted the enemies part to last a tad longer because the tension was yummy, but Phoenix surprised me by how sweet he was after they let down their shields and saw behind the wall both had built around their hearts. I loved how Phoenix's family showed Lia what a real family should be and they embraced her as their own. I do wonder why Phoenix wore the beanies all the time; it felt like that had significance, but then I guess it didn't. lol It was cute that he liked to see Lia in his. The ending could have had more to it, but I was glad they moved past the conflict and realized how much they needed each other. And it was good to see Lia finally realize standing on her own two feet was possible with Phoenix by her side. I enjoyed the push and pull between Lia and Phoenix and was happy to see them find their way to a HEA.
🍰Enemies to Lovers 🍰Dual POV 🍰 Bakers 🍰 Found Family
🔥 Familial Disappointment
I absolutely loved this story. I didn't want to put it down once I started reading and it didn't take me long to finish.
It is a hilarious, feel good love story. I loved the banter and tension between the 2 MC's letting all that pressure build. We all know that eventually the pressure has to be released or it will explode. 🥵
Phoenix and Cornelia both work at Tiers of Delight, a bakery that is a home to them. Phoenix has grown up here since he was 16 and Cornelia has called it home for a couple years now. Winnie the owner is retiring and decides to host a baking contest to decide who will essentially "win" ownership of the bakery. Who wins? Do they win the bakery? Do they win at finding love ?
It is a happy, make you feel-good rom-com. It is a quick easy read that will leave you wanting more because the chemistry between the 2 is explosive. I highly recommend reading this book this summer while laying on the beach or by the pool. I promise, you won't regret it and it will leave you feeling satiated.
Thank you so much to Iannah for allowing me to ARC read this book!
