This updated and expanded edition contains 125 highly practical chapters covering every emergency condition, making this the ideal clerkship book, the perfect book for rounds and bedside exams, and a great quick reference for practitioners.
New chapters Errors in Emergency Medicine (Robert Wears, MD) Injury Prevention (Kerry Broderick, MD) How to Critically Review Emergency Medicine Literature (Deb Houry, MD) Emergency Medicine Tricks of the Trade (Fred Severyn, MD) Cardiovascular Medication Poisonings (Kennon Heard, MD) COBRA, OBRA, and EMTALA Ambulance Diversion (Andrew Knaut, MD) Alternative Therapies in Emergency Medicine (Tracy McCubbin, MD)
A must read for anyone interested in emergency medicine. I carried it with me on all of my shifts and it helped with the differential diagnosis for undifferentiated patients. It is easy to read and appropriately detailed. I wouldn't recommend it as the only study material for a test because there are no practice questions.
