Well, this was a good time! I really enjoyed Make Me Beg. It was sexy, raunchy, hilarious, and downright nasty. Considering how much they couldn't stand each other, Von and Griffin had more chemistry with one another then they anticipated. These two damn near hated each other. They were comin' for each other's throat so hard, I had to wonder if they were going to actually make it to Club Eros. Oh, but when they did, whew chile! And that pool table scene was everything! Pearls were clutched. Then, things got real interesting with the introduction of........ Aht aht! Read the book! LOL!!! Oh, and the group chat was poppin'. Those ladies had absolutely no filter. Make Me Beg was a really fun read and I cannot wait to dive into Kema B's installment.

Well, well, welllllll!!!!!! Enemies, turned fu** buddies (because there wasn’t any love involved) is my type of carrying onnnnn!! I loved every minute of this book! The banter between Griffin & Vonique, the energy that Griffin was coming with in the bedroom, to the way Dallas became involved I ATE ALL 58 pages up!!! Then to have them waiting on her hand and foot, Y U P 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾!! We need a standing ovation for Ms. Price … mmmmhmmmm!!!!!

Well this was a perfect snack of a story. I love when an author surprises me, because out the gate I did not expect the hero to be who he was. And I loved that. This was an enemies to freak nasty partners story. I loved that it was all about the heroine Von. Living out her fantasies and being catered to in ways she never experienced. It was a treat.

In this series the heroines all have a kinky bucket list. For Vonique that was degradation and praise, doing it in public, and a threesome with two guys. To be honest, this first book was the one I was looking forward to the least. Enemies to kinky lovers in such a short novella has potential for a lot of badness imo.
I liked our heroine and her love for black authored indie romance. The transcript of the audiobook Von was listening to, also written by the author, was very meta. And the group chats between her and her bookish friends had me cackling.
That said, there were some consent issues that I didn’t like. Ultimately, I think that both Vonique and Griffin wanted to explore CNC and they were both secretly enjoying the non-con but, because they never explicitly discussed this part of their dynamic, it was a no for me. Especially on the backdrop of their enemies status, ignoring her no/stop was super icky. And when the non-con also involved strangers with the doing it in public bucket list item, I was horrified.

Whew. This book had me hollering, blushing, and reevaluating my entire bucket list. Make Me Beg gave exactly what the title promised...heat, humor, and that messy kind of chemistry that makes you grin and grit your teeth at the same time.
Vonique? My girl walked in all sass and control until Griffin showed up and reminded her that confidence doesn’t cancel desire. Their banter was electric- every insult felt like foreplay, and when that pool table scene hit? Yeah… let’s just say I had to close my Kindle and stare into space for a minute. That man’s energy was dangerous in the best way.
But what really got me was the balance. This wasn’t just smut for the sake of it- it was wit, it was women hyping each other up in their sister-group chats, it was grown-folk talk and unfiltered fun. Those group threads had me howling. Every Black woman deserves friends who will gas her up like that.
Griffin checked every single box...confident, nasty in private, respectful in public, and bold enough to play second to a woman who knows her worth. Dallas? Don’t even get me started. I see why everybody wants their own version of him.
The story’s short, fast-paced, and spicy enough to melt your acrylics, but it also had heart. My only complaint? It ended too soon. I wasn’t done living in that world.

Listen….. Von is my she-ro okay? Always turnt up and her words were lethal! I felt bad for Griffin in the beginning, the way she ripped him a new one in front of everyone! Then things got real interesting! This read was sexy, fun, hot as hell with a lil bit of nasty! Who would have thought that a bucket list could be this damn good? Not me? So…..this was the first book that I’ve read by Honesty Price and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This short, enemies to lovers book was quite interesting. The more that I read about these sex bucket lists and Club Eros, the more I want to find one of these type of club. Von definitely got her list taken care of by the man that she hated at work, then by him and herself crush at the same time. I’ll definitely be reading more from Ms. Price.

Make Me Beg was a hell of a ride. This was the first book I read by Honesty Price and I will definitely be reading some more of her works. If you like the enemies-to-lovers trope, this one's for you. I had so much fun reading about Von and Griffin. Their banter was hilarious and they had crazy good chemistry. And I can’t forget Dallas. Von is definitely living the good life now.

There’s not much plot beyond that, but there is high heat. It felt a little meh to me.
