A book full of traditional tales like Shirley Hughes, Winnie the Pooh, The Wind in the Willows and the Story of Babar. My favourite story in this book is “My Naughty Little Sister at the Party.”

The best thing about this book is that it introduces you to a number of classic series. It includes the first chapter of Winnie-the-Pooh, and the first chapter of the first book in the Railway Series that features Thomas the Tank Engine (from Thomas the Tank Engine).

Thomas the Tank Engine - Thomas and Gordon has encouraged me to seek out the original Railway Series by W Awdry and Christopher Awdry.
