Qiao Nan: Crap! I am your biological daughter, yet I am treated as if I was picked up from the streets. In fact, you treat me worse than that!
Mother Qiao: Qiao Nan, you are not as pretty or smart as your elder sister. You are not as blessed as her. You have no right to study, marry, or to have your happiness!
Qiao Nan: Why am I not allowed to study, marry, or to seek my happiness? I will find a man right now and marry him!
Qiao Nan is dumbstruck upon discovering that the man right beside her is a powerful figure in the quad—the person who has the most promising prospects to be the future Chief.
Qiao Nan stares at the well-built man in front of her. He has firm abs and cold, chilling eyes. She swallows the lump in her throat as she says her greetings, "Good Morning, Chief!"
I like the whole plot of reincarnation in the beginning however after repetitive happenings with the same few family over and over again especially the Qiao's with no definite conclusion..it took me awhile to complete it.
I stuggled to persist till the end and yet I ended up with disappointment. Solving problems with money most of the time is never a solutions in fact all those narcissists and psychotic people demanded more. My forbearance on these people totally limited unlike Qiao Nan.
My goodness this was a long story! I was expecting something normal-lengthed and happy when I downloaded it but as the plot progressed, I noticed that my percentage bar never seemed to progress. It took me over two weeks to finish this which is a record for me. This one book took me longer to read than the entire Harry Potter series.
I really enjoyed the story though. It had a captivating plot with a very admirable and inspirational main character. The story basically follows her, Qiao Nan, as she gets a chance to remake herself after she is reborn to right before her junior high entrance exam. She had a miserable life before mainly due to her family but in her new life she never actively seeks revenge against them. She really focuses more on bettering herself.
There is a very satisfying romance portion but as her partner is a military man, he is often away. The plot mostly revolves around the main character and her interactions with all the people she's connected with in her new life.
For such a long story, it's very well-paced. Sometimes this type of plot can get dull by the end but I never lost interest in her story. Even when the story started shifting a little to her adult childrens' lives, it was still a page-turner.
One part that really speaks about the author's skill is the portion at the end where she actually brings the main character back to her first timeline. I normally dislike AU epilogue stories but this one was very interesting and I would dare say necessary to the main plot. It was quite a long arc but very satisfying and enjoyable to read.
I really recommend this one. For those who like period or slice-of-life stories, it's a treasure to read. It's mostly very happy so you can read it without much worry.
Very nice twist. I also liked how it sped up when the everyday things didn't need to push forward the story. It was very nice and I wish there was a continuation of the story from the kids point of view!

I did love it. It makes me hate her father's side family. It makes me loves her in-laws. It makes me feel so much while I was reading and certainly it's appreciated ❤️👍
