A Good

This book is a good read and opens new areas of study that one needs to explore in the interpretation of the New Testament. What was particularly interesting was the chapter of the New Testament use of the Old Testament. One may not agree with all the conclusions of the contributors but will definitely gain a wealth of knowledge. A good college and graduate level reading for those interested in New Testament exegesis.

The book is as advertized. Its introduction to the many facets of New Testament exegesis was a helpful reminder of the challenging nature of faithful Bible study. However, since I would tend to disagree with several of the authors as to the nature of Scripture, I found the reading a bit rough going at times.

Intro volume for the series covering the different types of writing in the NT. Excellent volume for beginners & excellent review for the seasoned pastor for an interpretation check to make sure they have not fallen into any bad habits
