Very timely, reading this book with everything going on in Ukraine, Russia, Crimea... The life of St. Luke was incredible - not just a skilled surgeon, but a renowned one--advancing the medical field in his time. Yet, one who defined himself first by his faith (and later his episcopacy) and thus suffered greatly under the communist regime.
