This rating is only given to the Footprints poem itself, I haven't read the book. I don't think I need to. I read this poem when i was about eight and it stayed with me throughout my life in one way or another.

Wow, if all this autobiographical book is true, this poet had quite the intense life.

The book’s main purpose was to talk about how she wrote the religious poem Footprints, however there was a lot of info about her life, as well as her husband’s and daughter.

What disappointed me in my read is that I am now more confused about the reason for this book in the first place. Related to that, what happened for so many to publish the poem as by anonymous. That’s how I read it when I was a kid anyway! The book didn’t provide much clear information on how others claimed ownership and/ or people profited from it. Basically it means I have another someday research project.

Such a nice read but so sad to hear that people tried to claim the poem as their own.

Incredibly inspiring!! This couple is really a great example of living their Christian faith, especially in the hardships they each endured. Neither gave in to bitterness, anger, self- pity, or resentment. Her husband, Paul, wrote his story called " Too tough for tears." I want to read that too.

Quando achamos que está tudo perdido, que não temos ninguém, que tudo corre mal, chegamos à conclusão que afinal alguém nos trazia ao colo! Temos de aprender a dar valor ao que temos!
