I've always had a passion for astrology, and in Tanaaz Chubb's fascinating book "The Astrology Companion", she states that the best place to start when it comes to studying astrology is your own birth chart. In this book, she explains the important components: the houses, sacred angles, and aspects. The author discusses the themes for each house and their rising sign.
One of the things I've had to really work on when it comes to the zodiac signs is remembering each sign's element and qualities. The author has provided well laid out, simple charts and dedicated an entire page to explaining each sign. She explains in great details all aspects of the elements of each sign, explaining what the elements means in each house in a easy to understand fashion.
This is a great book for beginners or an experienced used may have for a reference
The Astrology Companion is a great introduction to astrology. This book delves into your birth chart and breaks down what it all means. At times, I felt like this was a bit repetitive but that was because I was reading aspects of my own chart as well as people close to me. If you are completely new to astrology, this may not be the best introduction to the definitions of what each thing means. While Chubb does break down each aspect of a chart, I felt like at times things were explained a little too broadly. There is a lot of information in this book and while it introduces astrological concepts, you may find yourself researching other sources to really understand what everything means.

This has to be the most organized and well laid out astrology book that I have come across. I felt as though the way it was streamlined made a lot of sense for a novice astrologist and for someone more of an expert. Despite not being a novice, I still gained a lot of knowledge reading this companion guide. It is very easy to go back and reference things. It goes into the various houses, zodiac signs, elements, angles, Sun, Moon, Lunar nodes, Planets; the details were excellent. The index at the end is wonderful for quick reference. I will definitely be purchasing a physical copy of this book.
This book is so useful. It is super easy to use, and easy to dip in and out of to find specific information. The illustrations are colourful and make the book aesthetically pleasing. One of the best books I have read on this subject.
The only reason I cannot give the book the full 5* is the fact that the title is a little misleading. I'm not sure that it helped me to 'manifest my power and purpose' - I would have hoped for a little extra to bring this aspect to life.
Nevertheless it is a super useful book. No nonsense - straight to the point. Does the job!
I really enjoyed delving into this book, I don't know much about the astrology houses and your birth charts(other than they exist) so this was full of new information to me that I really enjoyed learning. It's a detailed book that feels like it's for beginners and avoids going into more advanced layers but still tells you where to find that information when you think you are at that stage. It's got some beautiful illustrations that break up the text and I really liked the way it was laid out.
The Astrology Companion is a great guide in this very complex and highly interesting subject field.
We are all so unique in our birth time, date and the alignment of planets at our moment of birth. How this affects each and every one of us in the bigger picture of our lives is truly fascinating.
This subject is never a never ending interest for us all to understand ourselves.
This was a brief guide for beginners on what the zodiac signs represent, the power of birth charts and how the planets and celestial bodies influence our daily lives.
It could have been a bit more detailled but a great starting place for those intrigued about astrology.
This was a nice handy guide to the planets and their roles in ones astrological makeup. It would be nice if there was a how to guide for finding which planets are in which houses etc. I received a copy of this via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.
Easy to read and understand. Definitely focuses purely on the planets and signs that correlate and could have done with a bit more flushing out and info, but overall is a intresting read.
Tanaaz Chubb eases beginners from theory to practical application of astrology. True to its core, unique and concise approach to understand the subject on hands.
