Never read a western before, but I was very pleasantly surprised because I really enjoyed it. Max brand was a favorite author of my father so I chose this just to see what he enjoyed so much about westerns. This was only a very short book so I'm not sure I will like something longer because books have to really hold my interest, but I'm going to try another one. I might just discover something I've been missing.
