Good read although the plot wasn't as strong as the other two Angelini books. Jory Strong still delivered great characters and hot writing.
Mystic is from a different Angelini family from the heroines of the first two books. It's set in Las Vegas again so the characters from the first two books make occasional appearances. [The Las Vegas they live in has only a nodding acquaintance with reality - but makes a good backdrop for the series.:]
Mystic ends up with three mates rather than the usual two - two wolf shifters [one of whom is a cop and raised as a human, one of whom wants to form his own pack:] and a very ancient vampire who was originally a gryphon... Sexual dynamics, power politics, and various crimes abound. And did I mention there is a wizard who digs the whole 'evil overlord' scenario?

Lots and lots and lots of sex, mostly one on one as Mystic forges a bond with each of her mates but there's a couple ménage and one scene with all four. I really was interested in the story, would have liked more storyline.

Another Angelini. Mystic, raised by a wolf mother and her 2 vampire fathers, not in the traditional Angelini way. She has no fight training and no idea she had a wolf of her own.
Roman: created and ruined by old magic. A gryphon before becoming a vampire. Now they are split. He is an eagle or a lion.
Hawk a wolf, who let her have her freedom even though she was destined to be his mate.
Christian: A lone wolf who grew up human. A police officer who was just passing through.
A great story of rogue vampires and wolves created by a sorcerer. The taint and hunting bring all 4 together along with Mystics best friends, the twins Gabe and Gabby.
Lots of action. A lot of m/f sex as they all get to know each other. Some m/f/m then at the last m/m/m/f. No m/m except Brann and Rafe.
Hopefully there will be an Angelini 4

Awesome
Love Mystic. Sweet. Gentle. Kind. She has her 2 best friends with her. They are on an adventure. She meets a cop who is wolf. Then she meets Roman who is very other. And Hawk. Well. What a surprise!! The twins get the adventure of a lifetime and Mystic finds unconditional love. Great story. Please tell me Altier and Gabby meet again

I loved this series it kept me reading, which doesn't happen nearly enough. The men were hot the sex scenes hotter. Not for the skittish though there is some serious freaky sex going on! I would recommend this book to those that like this type of book.

January 19, 2013To much sex and not enough plot. It just was not interesting enough to finish and I got bored of all the sex.
