Our family had always been close. When our wives died years ago, my brother and I chose to raise our children together in one household, and it worked for us.
With the two oldest starting college, we decided to do a cross country road trip and spend the summer creating memories. But we had no idea someone would prey on a family of six, or exactly what they’d be capable of.
Now, instead of creating memories, we were fighting to survive and keep our minds intact.
Question was... Could we stick to our moral beliefs? Or would we fall into a desperate depravity we could never come back from?
TRIGGER WARNING This is an extremely taboo novel with a very dark theme. We advise not to read this novel if any of the themes listed below could trigger you:
-incest (daughter/dad, cousins, uncle/nephew) -blood play -mm -forced proximity -age gap
Seven Rue is an international bestselling author. Born and raised in a small town by the Lake of Constance in Switzerland, she loves writing books that not only make hearts melt but also push limits. When she's not writing, you can find her on long walks with her pup, Bowie, or kicking around a ball on the soccer field.
The book is aptly titled, and for those that need it, here's my warning: ⚠️ incest, murder, drugging, blood play, dub-con, manipulation, to name but a few.
A simple family road trip turns into a nightmare when their RV breaks down. Depravity asks the question: what (or who) would you do to survive?
I read this in one sitting, abandoning all responsibilities. I enjoyed the dark aspects, and questioned myself for enjoying certain other scenes.
I really liked how the relationships developed, and the forward-looking ending. The epilogue finished it off nicely.
If you enjoy darker taboo books, I would definitely recommend this one.
Normally I wouldn't review a book I don't finish, but I had to make an exception as this was vile beyond words.
I should start that am not a kink shamer by ANY means. Whatever rocks your boat, go for it. What crosses the line for me, is not the incest, but the illegal nature of the relationships. This is not an age gap kink, or an incest kink, it’s underage and not something that we should be romanticising. That aside, this really could’ve used one more run through with an editor. The tense violations were on nearly every page, as well as other grammatical issues that took away from reading the story. DNF @ 45%.
I had a wild hair for something taboo and forbidden and having read some of Seven Rue’s books before decided to go for this one. Is it really taboo if you’re being forced into it by a mad man? Not IMO and so this didn’t work for me and it’s not KU which means I’m even more unsatisfied. The book was short too. I think the authors need to reevaluate the price point they have this at. This was not at all worth $5.50 in content or page count. In all honestly I’m probably done with this author unless she comes up with a new penname and her books get back into KU, 😬🤷🏻♀️.
All the taboo…. Coming soon w/ my full review. This is by far one of my fav by Seven Rue
Update: 8 1/2 months later. I re read this bc of how f’n hawt this was. So everyone in the family is banging at least someone their related to. If taboo/imceszt is not your thing - steer clear of this bc it’s plastered all over.
The storyline itself is good. An unfortunate situation that ends up blossoming into a HEA. You got your MM, MF in this one.
The premise of this was so interesting and was executed quite well. The relationship pairings were deliciously taboo and with these co authors they didn’t skimp on the spice, either.
Where it lost some points: it could have used another edit (some names were constantly spelled incorrectly). I also wanted more protective!animal daddy, but that’s just a personal thing 😂
I ordered a physical copy of this from Lulu books and it was printed beautifully. A+
BOOK SO BAD I'M SWITCHING LANGUAGES FOR THIS REVIEW.

I dunno what to say about this. My jaw was popped open for most of this. I went in blind soooo… I mean, I knew it was family stuff but I had no idea about the crazy plot. A bit of a wild ride. Taboo af, dark and kinda… sweet? Idk. 4/5⭐️ 3.75/5🌶🔥
0/0 stars! This is by far the worst, most pathetic attempt at writing a book I have ever read. It's not the taboo part. I read a lot of taboo stories and, when done well, they can be a great read. This was not it. There was ZERO story development, the characters were completely interchangeable, and I felt nothing for them. They could have stayed in that cage for the rest of their lives and it wouldn't have mattered to me because I had no investment in them. This author clearly sensationalized taboo topics just because they're taboo. Like take a f*cking second to develop why those cravings/feelings are there, how the future will develop with relationships that won't be accepted by society, a slow burn of going from "that's my daughter" to "that's the love of my life." It happened in like FOUR pages of storyline. That's pathetic. The author did not even TRY to write a legitimate story. To top it off, this was a $22 paperback and when it arrived it was in huge font that more than doubled the length of the story so that they could claim this was a 300+ page book when it was honestly like a 1 hour bullsh*t read.
Would sooner pluck my eyeballs out, douse them in kerosene, and light a match than read anything else by this author.
I feel like this should have been a DNF for me because I really had to push myself to finish it. I was hella confused for a good 15% trying to get to grips with all the characters/relations as it confused me😂 the writing wasn’t bad, I just didn’t like the plot. I felt like 2 were more side characters than the rest. I did like the few chapters at the end seeing them together. The captivity wasn’t an issue because I’ve read worse I just didn’t like the writing for those parts.
Un libro lleno de relaciones incestuosas. Padre/hija, primo/prima, hermano/hermana y tio/sobrino.
3.5 Honestly? loved the plot, definitely i can see that there is another author writing with Seven Rue,glad for that. Now , i was trilled to read the stuffs they will be trough Horace guide. Honestly? i wished it was more of it! Sometimes i love taboo's, this is straight up incest and i had no problem with it. Also the twins were 16...but, i'm from Europe, the age of consent is 14-16. The scene that mostly grossed me out was the bloody one, but at least they were forced by Horace, it's not like he wanted to do it. Anyway, i didn't give the last star ONLY because i didn't like that Silas and Lu had to be intimate too..meaning i wish she just stayed with Anders and Sy with Les. Other than that, all good. It was like watching a movie, how they were put in that situations etc. Even if Lu and Sy thought about some stuffs before that.
Incest sexfest and underage girl losing her virginity to daddy dearest due to their captor's demands—that's the trigger warning. ⚠️
Seriously speaking, I don't know if this constitutes as noncon because all of them FEEL something fierce for one another and honestly, their captor just hurried them up with those incestuous feelings. 😂
The captivity trope seems like a sham to me to justify their incestuous desires since they are closer-than-appropriately-normal kind of family/relatives even before they were captives. 🩸
-Smut, Spice, Taboo -Incest -Daddy and Daughter -Uncle and Nephew -Cousincest (18 years old) -Twincest (16 years old)
yeah I know, I last posted with the "dropped" word but you know the famous quote "curiosity kills the cat" and here I'm the cat and I'm letting this book kill me, it's not like i don't read or never read forbidden romance but i feel this is maybe little much for me.. but I couldn't stop thinking about what happened next or how they escaped, so yeah I'm here to finish this book, restarted ✌️
edit after reading the complete story, it was ok, but I want more interaction between Sy and Les,. 😮💨
It's got ALL the triggers. Dad/underage daughter. Twin-cest. Cousins earning redwings. Uncle/nephew. Kidnapping/forced proximity. Dub/con (might be non/con but they secretly want it which is so hot and idk how to feel about that). All sorts of triggers and I love it all.
TBH they were all halfway to incest-fest before the kidnapping so don't blame Horace for too much.
My first legit taboo book & I literally couldn’t stop reading it. It was like a car crash that you just can’t look away from.
I will definitely be reading more by seven rue because that was insane.
4 ⭐️
I normally leave a spice rating on my book reviews but I don’t really know how to rate this since most activities were coerced and so taboo. So I’m going to leave the spice rating off.
He leído muchas cosas turbias e intensas...
Warning: Please read the triggers before diving into the book. —————— This book made me feel: shocked, sad, happy, surprised, SHOCKED AGAIN (because there was so much going on xd) —————— First of all, the storyline is bomb! I swear that this story kept on pushing my limits but I was sure I could make it till the end one I started it. When you first meet the MC’s and Horace you just know that shit is going to happen and start to get hot around here. BUT THIS?! Oh I expected a lot but I was never prepared for that kind of plot. And then Luella that shy and innocent girl in ACTION ?! I was never this proud in my entire life. GO LUELLA! xD
Second of all, the names goddamn. We are getting spoiled again by Seven’s awesome and unique choice of names.
Last but not least, I loved the Epilogue and the surprise we got at the end. Especially this tiny insight about Horace. I felt a little bit sorry for his ass actually. ————— Spice: 5/5 Cute: 5/5 Storyline: 5/5 Length: 5/5 Names: 5/5 All in all: 10/5 (Seven you know why not 11/5 xD) ————— Favourite Quotes out of the book: (Got a little carried away oops. - Could contain Spoiler for some who are very sensitive.)

9. We have to show a little faith now, Lue.
