Sorokin Bratva #2

Ruined Bride

Rate this book
Have you ever hated someone so much you’d do anything to hurt them?
Have you ever loved someone so much you’d do anything to save them?
What if that was the same person?

Roman won me in a card game.
I became everything he wanted me to be.
The bride at his altar.
The mother to his child.

But somewhere along the way, I became something else, too…
The woman he loves.

I don’t know if I can truly love a monster back.
But I don’t think he’ll give me a choice.
And with our child on the line…
The stakes have never been higher.

This is a DNF for me. I skipped to the end, and even then - she got kidnapped, TWICE within 2 chapters. Good gracious. I lost interest when I noticed the lack of consistency from the author. One minute he’s only wearing pants, the next he’s got a shirt on. Call me crazy, but if your femur was shattered, why would you need an air boot? The femur is nowhere near where a boot would go. And it was shattered but in less than a month it was practically healed? The devil is in the details. It shows laziness.

This author is just not for me.

My thoughts: What a mess. I should have stopped with the first book. I think I skimmed through 60% of the book. So much awful happens it’s utterly ridiculous…LESS is MORE. The first book was better…sadly. How the FUCK was this rated so high?!

Confused….

🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔

I feel sorry for all you 4/5 stars people…you need to explore more….cause this…was awful😣

Yes, going that whole Cruella route with a twist—

I’m sad you think that book was good 🤷🏻‍♀️

Dramatic

I liked the books. Although I feel like it could have been one book without the extra drama. I don't usually read series but thought I'd give it a try. I liked the characters n the growth of the H and h. But spoil alert, being kidnapped like 3 or more times kinda gets old. N some parts like the H mother? That didn't really make sense cuz it never went anywhere ( there was no ending about her or her threats, she just kinda disappeared from the second book. So only a little disappointed but all n all a good mafia romance story that wasn't to dark.

This is the second book in this duet and I do recommend reading them in order. Roman won Lilly in a card game and now she is being forced to marry him, her own plans for her future gone. This is a fast-paced mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and emotion. Plenty of twists and turns, loads of action and red-hot chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it.

If Lily thought in marrying Roman her troubles were over she was sorely mistaken, her family want her back for heir own gain and Romans power hungry family are put for it. but can they survive the troubles ahead? especially when more lives are on the line. well written crazy wild ride of emotions, action desires, love, betrayal and more.

Segundo y último libro de la bilogía "Sorokin Bratva". Un buen final para ambos personajes, al fin tuvieron el final que tanto se merecían. 🖤✨️

😡

Can't give honest review because it keeps throwing me out of writing review
here it is
He's not strong don't take care of betrayals like a mafia would
His brother her brother And so on lived after should have been killed
His mom was Norman Bates mom
She was weak and he wasn't mafia leader
Then they left it all behind?
It was frustrating read
First book was just ok

I don’t want this to be over

What a wonderful story. So many stories within these characters lives. But my goodness Lily is the strongest woman you will ever see. She loves her husband fiercely and her family. But I hate she was trying to forgive her dead beat brother. But that didn’t last long. This is a must read as a matter of fact I am going to re-read this. It is that good.

Good Book

I have enjoyed the duet of Roman & Lily and how their story progressed and they fell in love, Roman is a gorgeous sexy alpha who knows exactly what he wants and takes it and I like how Lily was much stronger in this second book.
I do have a few issues with this book though which is why I couldn’t give 5 stars.
* Kidnapping- she was kidnapped just too many times to make it believable this just started to annoy me as no one is that unlucky.
* Natalyia- what happened to the change in her behaviour? Why was she so aggressive with Lily and trying to take the baby etc and then warning her about Kaz, her behaviour needed explaining.
* Is his Dad still alive or dead? They talked about his ill health several times but nothing after that last meeting.
* The threat to her pregnancy was becoming annoying too, she fell down stairs, car crash where she was kidnapped, hit in the stomach by Leo, kicked by Kaz it was just too much I personally think the stairs and crash were sufficient.
It’s like the author just wanted her to suffer and be in pain for the majority of this second book.
* I’m just not sold on the ending as the bratva is for life but there was no mention of Roman speaking to his parents about Kaz.
Like I said I have enjoyed both books but book one was better in my opinion the storyline of other Don’s coming after Roman would have been much better if Lily wasn’t at the centre of everyone of them they could have done all the fighting and bloodshed without her kidnappings.
I would recommend this duet and I did like Misha I think after that ending he could have his own book.

This is the 2nd book in the Sorokin Bratva series featuring Roman and Lily's delightfully dark story. Roman wins Lily in a poker game he forces her to marry him putting an end to all of her dreams. Her family was horrible her mother allowed the marriage to Roman her dad wanted her back so they could sell her to someone else but her brother was worse than both of the parents. Roman tells her that life as his wife isn't going to be so terrible and Lily starts accepting her life now when she's shot and kidnapped. This begins our wild ride buckle up you don't know who to trust we're going to see violence, betrayal, loyalty, fear, cruelty and love. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this twisted story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

Lily made him leave

I knew it! By the end he would be giving up his leadership of his Bratava. She got real tired of being kidnapped and beaten and threatened by his enemies. She did not want her babies to be raised in that life. So she made home leave by the end. So many people died in defense of the Sorokin family it’s kinda like saying his life is more valuable; I understand why he left but that is what I’m thinking about in the last scene with them boarding the plane. The ending felt rushed though in my opinion. I knew Kaz was a trouble maker but he just didn’t address it. Better to totally deal with this problem than to cut and run. Also the tension with his mother should have properly dealt with. They were good conflicts that just fizzled out. But this book was definitely worth the read.

“OMG” I loved this story , I loved Roman that man is walking sex, loved his alpha, his mouth, his smart, and his met halfway, and Lily with her witty remarks and how she stands up and meets Roman head on. Their chemistry and passion lead us on an emotional journey that at times keeps you on the edge of your seat.
Roman and Lily both had a difficult childhood ( to say the least) but they were strong enough to recover and do what it took to keep going which was not at all easy, there is lots of raw and gritty bloodshed, intense drama, angst with twists and turns you just don’t see coming!!!
A perfect conclusion to book one and definitely not one to be missed.
I was given an ARC of this book by the author in exchange for a voluntary honest review which I was totally happy to provide.

Lily and Roman continue their story, and oh boy does it start with a bang. There are so many people trying to control and ruin their lives. From scheming takeovers, jealous family, crazy in laws it seems they will never have the life they both crave. From page one they fight for their lives and through it try to find happiness, but Lily will never be able to while living the life in the bratva. It comes down to a single choice that will make or break their relationship. Will the right decision be made? In the end they have a HEA but at what cost?

Good duet

I really enjoyed the storyline. I brought about princess sold to the highest bidder. There is a lot of strife, disloyalty and treachery within the families. I like the story, but I thought there were a few loose ends such as a wicked mother-in-law that appears to be good in the end. It just didn’t delve enough into the transformation or explanation of why she acted the way she did. I also thought that the story could have been wrapped up in one book. There is a lot of repetitive trauma to our heroine that was more or less overdone. Enjoyable e

Great ending as expected! .....5 Stars!

I love Roman and Lily’s story. The world of Bratva Russian Mafia is violent and it involves the worst crimes you can think of. He is a don, the king of all the mafias he won and took over but it’s not what Lily wants for their babies. Will Roman give up his most powerful position in Chicago as well as his wealth and privileges? Their love for each other that shaped their lives together is the winner in this tale. Good job on this author for an enjoyable read.

This story has you on the edge of your seat, after the first book you really want to know wat happens next.
This is a rough ride with lots of love, betrayal, fights and kidnappings… Some parts may be a bit unbelievable ( like the fast recovery of Roman after being shot) but that’s forgiven because this story is good. You get to know some crazy characters as wel like Nataliya.
Just enjoy this ride.

This was the 2nd book of this duet and it starts off crazy and pretty much the whole book is crazy good. There were so many crazy twists and turns and one so much betrayal and if you like lots of death and fighting mixed in with love and chemistry and then a crazy ending, you will love this book.

so good

I read this book sooo quickly. I couldn’t put my kindle down! Poor Lily had the worst luck with getting kidnapped so many times. Roman definitely would burn the world down for Lily. Loved that this book had a bonus chapter to download, it wasn’t long enough tho! Need another book or novella!

Wonderful book

In this one Lily is half way through her pregnancy and happy. Her and Roman are better than ever. But dark days are coming and an unexpected traitor is in the background planning to kill Roman and take everything, including Lily. This story was great with lots of action. Loved it.

Loved this duet.

This is book two in the Sorokin Bratva duet, be sure to read book one before reading this book. Roman and Lily's story started out where she was just a possession to him won during a game of poker. She became so much more to him but will he be able to protect her from his enemies? This is a great duet a d I can't wait to read more from this wonderful author.

Buckle up a wild ride, suspense, dangerous man, alpha personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a deliciously dark Mafia story (they write dark well). Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!
Bad boy….check
Bod boy’s crazy brother/friend…check
Bad boy’s Kryptonie…check ….check and check
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Okay not really sure where to start with the conclusion well Lilly was forced to marry Roman since he won her in a poker game taking all her dreams away, her mother allowed it, her father wanted her back to sell her to another, and her brother well he was worst than both her parents. After accepting her life for what it is and Roman showing her that life as his wife isn’t going to be so bad or his mouth says that until she is taken, shot, does her best to save him and finding out she is pregnant. At this point buckle up there is going to be so much going on betrayal, loyalty, violence, bravery, fear, cruelty, kindness and above all love. Throughout Lily is kidnapped a few times by her brother and his brother, remember I said her brother is just as bad as their father well he threatens to sell her to the highest bidder or force Roman to buy her back when that didn’t work, he threatens to kill her babies by shooting her in the stomach. Then Kaz Romans brother felt like everything they had should have been his because he was 18 mo. older than his brother, so he set out to kidnapped her forced her down into a hole wanted to kill his own brother and forced his other brother to kill him out of loyalty to Roman the Don. Oh, and lets not forget to mention Roman’s mother OMG that woman was a headache but it taught Lilly to grow a thick skin oh and to finally find her back bone but is all this enough for Roman to walk away as the Don to live with his wife and babies, will they get their family, will she ever see her dream of becoming a singer come true, and boy can these two find happiness?

Bless Lily’s heart… She is constantly put through it.

This was my first duet by Naomi West. I was certainly not let down. I really enjoyed the books.

Roman is such a fantastic character. He starts out as a giant d-bag in the first book, but as it progresses, he morphs into such a doting & loving husband.

Lily is a great heroine. She’s a young mafia princess. But, she has so much fight in her. I loved watching her love for Roman grow.

I will say I wish we would’ve gotten more interaction between Lily & Roman’s family. His mom popped in a few times & it seemed like she was going to be a bigger part of the plot before she just dropped off. I wish Misha & Lily would’ve had the chance to form a better relationship.

I felt bad for Lily because after being sold out by her dad & her falling out with her family, she only has Roman. It would’ve been nice to see her develop relationships with other characters on a deeper level. Especially with the talks of the mob wives fight club luncheons. I would’ve loved a scene with the various wives.

This duet is definitely action packed. At times, it did feel a bit overwhelming because every time one fire was put out, another was escalating. I mean, Noami West really put this pregnant woman through it. That amount of stress & trauma can’t be good for the babies.

Overall, I really enjoyed the relationship development between Roman & Lily. I would love to see Misha get his own book.
