Another amazing story from this amazing author. As always this author had me captured from the first page. I fell hook line and sinker for Zach especially when she dropped the biggest love triangle I’ve ever read! (Sorry no spoilers you will have to read this to find out what I’m talking about!) This story gave me all the feels and was sexy as hell Mia and Zach were perfect characters and I can’t wait to read more from this author!

Mia Simms really needs a date to a family function after breaking up with her fiance of 7 yrs after catching him cheating with her childhood best friend and then learning this had been going on for 4 yrs.
Mia, 32 is one of the top tattoo artists and did her apprenticeship under Bull 15 yrs ago. He has been a father figure to her since she was kicked out of her house at age 17. She gets a new client that Bull wants her to tattoo.
Zane Ames retired from the Army Rangers and joined the police dept and works in the special covert deployment team.
Zack hears Mia talking about needing a date and volunteers.
They have a chemistry that can't be denied but Bull doesn't want him to pursue her with one of the reasons being the 13 yr age difference. But there are other secrets as well.
As they grow closer together will these secrets keep them apart and what about the things that are happening to Mia.

Inked soul is the second book in Mica Rae’s ( Under My Skin Series ) a series . And what a incredible book it is . Form the moment I met both Zach and Mia I was just so completely takes with both characters . So likable and relatable. Mia has not had the easiest life ,you name it she’s been through it . Everything from a terrible family life to a cheating fiancé whom she caught with her best friend .Mia ends up meeting Zach through her job as a tattoo artist. Her more time they spend with one another , feeling start to develop that neither expected. Zack and Mia could not be more perfect for one another . The attraction they share and the chemistry is undeniable and off the charts hot . Unbeknownst to Mia , Zack has been keeping a huge secret from her , one that has the ability to break her heart . What will happen ?well your going to have to read this wonderful story to find out . What a emotional rollercoaster.I cannot recommend this highly enough ❤️

Inked Soul is an incredible book. It had me from the first chapter. Zack and Mia couldn’t be more perfect for each other. Even though Mia was giving the worse hand in her life. From horrible parents to cheating boyfriend but then she meets Zack who is her client but also becomes more due to events around them. But Zack has a huge secret that could break Mia's heart. Their journey will definitely have ups and downs but to see their ending is definitely worth the trip….
Inked Soul has some amazing characters that you will fall in love with them. Mica Rae does remarkable job with storyline. I love Zack and Mia together. I hope the next book is about Bull and Tarah. I would recommend this book and give it 5 ⭐.

We've all had those moments when the timing just didn't seem right. The perfect guy is right in front of you, but he has baggage he can't discuss, and you are broken from past experiences. However, that description only scratches the surface of how wonderfully complicated and conflicted these characters are. Once again, Mica Rae has written a story that simultaneously makes you "clutch your pearls" and "make your eyes leak." If you want romance, chivalry, scandal, and mystery, read this now! You won't regret it.

Mica has done it again!
This is my favorite book by Mica Rae to date. This story will have you laughing crying and screaming at certain characters. 🤣
These two overcome so much to get where they end up and I'm so glad I got to read this book. The way these characters grow throughout the story is very well seen. The twists and turns keep you wanting to read more and not put the book down. It definitely gets in the way of being an adult.

I read this book in one sitting, there was no way I could put it down. The storyline was complex and well thought out. I absolutely loved Zack and Mia. They are perfect for each other in every single way. What starts out as a fake date turns into so much more. Zack is most definitely my new book boyfriend, because wow what a man. Mia deserves everything in life after how much she has had to overcome. This book is steamy and just amazing. Mica Rae is an absolute queen when it comes to storytelling. I really need Bull's story now, like right now.

What an interesting story, it was such a complicated storyline that was not revealed until you are quite into the book and wham, what to do? Mia, quite the complicated family, and not really a family at all. Zack, also quite complicated, but has the support of his family. Put them together, you've got fireworks, and how do they stop those from happening. Only taking moment by moment as they can't offer more than that, each of them. "Hope is dangerous." There is still something brewing with Bull though, and I hope that is another story to come. Always a pleasure to read this author's books.

Mica did it again with another story I devoured in one day! It’s been a long time since I’ve gone on a journey where I despised characters as much as I did side characters in Inked Soul! It made for one heck of a ride and unique story. Well done with ripping me in and investing me in having to make sure Mia found her strength.
Zack and Mia were polar opposites and I loved the age gap aspect. The spice was off the charts and made me blush something fierce! I love it when there is that level of chemistry and comparability.
Tarah and Ollie just added to the swoony emotional aspects ❤️ family isn’t always blood😍

I love Mia and I’m soooo happy she finally ditched the douche …. Zach was just what she needed even tho it didn’t start out that way. Given the situation was less than ideal I love how everything played out…. I just wish it had been longer … lol

If you are looking for a book that has a good and solid plot with a forbidden relationship and likable characters… then this book is for you.
This book hits a lot of tropes… fake dating, forbidden relationship, with a self-sufficient and confident female main character. Zack and Mia are such a likable couple you can’t help but cheer for them. I loved how their relationship was developed by the author.
This is a solid and entertaining read. My first book by Mica Rae and it will not be my last.

I liked #1 story but this one is soap opera. I never liked Mia because she accepts the abuse of her family, hoping maybe this time oh please, they will love her. Why chase after their love when they have shown her over and over again that they don't like her at all! They are mean and abusive. She calls herself a pushover. She keeps hoping they'll let her back into the family. "But how do I stop needing to be accepted by my family?" Then there's her abusive ex boyfriend whom she was with for YEARS to please her parents. GO TO THERAPY.
The setup with her and Zack is blindingly obvious. Bull is annoying; I won't read his story. He's a manwhore now without the balls to go after the woman he really wants. He thinks he's protecting Mia but does NOTHING to help her with her family. Zack decides he's in love after 3 dates. The only person I feel sorry for in this mess of a story is Ollie; talk about confusion for him. In a few paragraphs, Mia stands up to her family; all done. I should have DNF.

Better and less draggy than book 1.
This relationship is all kinds of squicky until it’s all out in the open. Maybe the book is just as long as book 1, but it certainly does not drag.
Mia is cast off by her uptight political parents at 17. Bull, tattoo artist and shop owner, takes her in. Mentors her. Treats her like a daughter.
Zack knows Bull from childhood. They were part of a friend group. Bull did not follow his three best friends into the military. One of them didn’t come back. Zack made a deathbed promise to take care of the fiancée and unborn child.
He marries Tarah, completely platonically, but that ruins his friendship with Bull.
There’s a lot of story here, much more than this small summary.
It’s a good story. Looks like Zack and Mia get their HEA.
Can’t wait to read Bull’s book.

The end?
I'm not exactly sure how I feel about the ending. I feel like there are so many questions left unanswered, and now I'm just kinda adrift. The first Skin book did the same thing by ending abruptly but not to this extent, so I wasn't quite as bothered. I wish the author had "finished" the story.

We get to meet new characters as well as get our old characters we know and love!
Mia and Zack story is so swoon worthy it had me gripping my kindle a few time and a few times I yelled, I laughed and oh my I even cried this book literally brought all the feels!
Mia is a people pleaser and she always wants to make those around her happy. It takes only one person to help her see that you can’t make everyone happy.
Zack is officially one of my favorite book boyfriends along side Jeff! He is madding at times and he’s also so sweet!
