The third book in this series keeps the action pumping. This time we delve into the history of the mysterious Eas. A man forced to keep his face hidden and his feelings tamped down. I enjoyed the story and appreciated the revelations. Kept me turning pages. Clean with a bit of Christian flavor. Nice, lighter summer read.

I read this out of order and I was very confused during the story. The hero thought the heroine was dead but she thought he was a bad man and faked her death and had is child. It is like 15 years later and they are both working special security jobs that out them in danger and their paths overlap. There is so much going on in the book I was confused. I don't think I will read the others even though this was written very well. Reminded me a little of the KGI series but I wasn't as invested. Probably because I read it out of order. I bet it's better If you read the other stories in the series in order. I didn't really feel the romance in this but it was there. Just so long apart. I hate that. I did like the daughter Aria and her dog Kuai though. Very much.

another good story

I really liked the plot again, and the characters. I was frustrated with some of the flow/needed editing. I realize there's supposed to be intrigue and mysteries, but the basic storyline shouldn't be confusing. It's as though certain transitions are skipped or messed up. One example that doesn't give away anything is a scene where Eas stops one guy following people and has him up against the wall, has some flashbacks and is suddenly talking to a security guard. We never find out what happened to the guy he caught. These stories could be great but fall short because they need a little more editing/polishing.

Confusing, chaotic...but it works!

" Karina wished it all made sense, but why would it?" Exactly! Lol
I work hard when reading this series, trying to keep up with the characters and figure out where the plot is going. Add some Chinese gangs in and Isaac's continuing strange behavior and I felt out of my element. So much is always happening but not fully unfolded and I just hang on, hoping the good guys can do their thing. Surprises at the end leaves you ready for the next mission!

This was a very action packed book. I was confused a lot about who was who, but I think I got it in the end. You wonder how much people can go though and still keep going I really like the Chevalier Protection Specialists. They are tough men with humor and a lovable character and much integrity. I still don't know what Isaac is up to. I think he wants to be good, but doesn't know how. Eas and Karina make a good pair with backgrounds the same they can relate to each other. Looking forward to the next book. I would recommend this book to adults.

Lisa Phillips has not disappinted.... again! Zander and his team find themselves in a situation that continues to be more complicated than ever. Eas, who reveals himself to no one,is becoming more and more exposed while finding out shocking informtion he can't even believe...... and the plot thickens.
If you love to be kept on the edge of your seat, wondering what is coming next, this book - this series- is a must read for you. Intrigue, mystery, action and a bit of romance all wound up in people who are struggling with their own issues, trying to find their way and calling on God to see them through. And book four is right around the corner!!!!!

While reading I felt their pain and at times how they thought there is no way out. It touched my heart as there are so many people in the world that does not have friends and feel there is no hope. I like that in the end it is up to each person to allow people in you life, to trust in them and in our Father in Heaven to provide what we need. Eas and Karina had to realize that in life we have to rely on each other to have our backs. In the world we live in trust doesn't come easy.

Lisa Phillips writes really good romantic suspense stories. There is always something intense about to happen that keeps you from wanting to put the book down. I really appreciate her writing. It was nice to finally learn about Eas and why he wore masks and tried to stay out of view when the team did their jobs of protecting people.

I would highly recommend this series of books. I have enjoyed them immensely.

I couldn't read fast enough

I was reading so fast, I had to stop and re-read paragraphs to make sure that I read it right. There were times that I didn't realize I was holding my breath until I got to the next section, I laughed at myself for getting so caught up. Obviously, the whole book was not like that, but by a d large I would suggest during the last half of the book, gather your snacks and bottle of water and don't plan to leave your chair except for breaks. Have fun!

Her stories get Better and Better.

Lisa Phillips is one of the most intense Christian Authors I have had the pleasure to read. She is amazing. Sometimes I have to read another book right in the middle of her story so I can go back and finish her story, after I can get my heart to settle. 😊
But as soon as I pick it up I will read until I hit the last page. Enjoy...

Holy cow, what a ride!

I’ll admit, I was a bit lost the first handful of chapters. So much going on and none of it making any sense together. But as the various threads got pulled, revealing the deeper layers and various organizations involved, this was completely unputdownable! Probably one of my favorites in the series. I can’t wait for Isaac’s redemption story.

This series just keeps on getting better and better and more interesting. I have been curious as to why Eas has to wear a mask since the first book of this series. Then I learned the reason why. Last One Still Standing is fast paced and full of surprises and twists. She never disappoints me with her suspense novels.

This was a thrilling read and installment in the overarching mystery of this series. I couldn’t put it down. I enjoyed this second chance and single mom romance. Obviously there was a ton of thrill and suspense and danger. I love that we finally got this hero’s story and oh did I love his heart. This series is definitely ramping up and I can’t wait till I get to read the next book.

Fast Paced and Riveting

Lisa Phillips books are incredible. They are on the same level as Susan May Warren. You won’t want to put this down and when you finish you will want to pick up the next in the series. I love the interconnectedness of the stories, the depth of the characters and the intrigue within the stories.

Compelling writer

She knows how to put together a compelling read, even though it sometimes seems far fetched from what could be possible. I don't know how she knows how to have her stories play out the way they do. She's a great writer.

way good book!!!

I have enjoyed this series. Just finished book 3 and excited to move on to book 4. I think these books would make a way better series than most I’ve watched on Netflix or Amazon Prime. These books so far rate an A+ 👍

Last One Still Standing

Eas and Karina have such a great story. This book has the danger, intrigue, and suspense to make it exciting. The backstory makes this a second chance at romance as well as a secret child trope. Will they be able to survive the danger surrounding them?
