Ainsley Seaborn always gets what she wants... except when it comes to having a baby.
Multiple Ivy-league degrees, a job as one of New York's best divorce mediators, a parade of toe-curling hookups with the hottest men in NYC--easy.
Finding the right guy to make a baby with? Not so much.
Until Ken Baker, that is.
He's perfect in all the right ways, sexy as hell, and eager to give her exactly what she wants.
There's just one tiny problem.
She's mediating his divorce.
Until the papers are finalized, nothing can happen between Ainsley and Ken. Even if the tension is sizzling and torturous in the best way.
When he's finally free, he makes her an offer that's too hard to refuse. Being with Ken is easy, and so much better than Ainsley imagined. Turns out, Ken is a cinnamon roll in the streets and an alpha in the sheets.
But as their babymaking starts to feel more like lovemaking, Ainsley starts to wonder if she needs to guard her heart. Not so easy when Ken is whispering the filthiest things in her ear about how much he wants to fill her and how he wants to see her body change with the baby he put inside her...
Their arrangement should be enough to fulfill her desire to be a mom. So why does she want more? And how much is she going to have to risk to get the baby and the happily ever after with the man of her dreams?
Madison Avenue Mediator is a stand alone novel set in the Love in the Big Apple world and can be read without reading the preceding books.
I can’t say how much I enjoyed this book. Nicole Sanchez has grown so much as an author and this book was amazing. Ainsley’s story was so much more than I expected and Ken… 🥵…. He’s amazing. Hot bossy and sweet. Perfect combo.
I was hooked from the beginning, getting to know this character who we hated at first and then through Las Vegas Luck we totally fell in love with her. Ainsley is HILARIOUS, sarcastic, loyal, kind and giving. It was incredible to be connected to a character as they fall in love.
Ken is well, Ken. He was such a surprise and I absolutely love him. He was such an awesome drive in the book and I loved his journey to Ainsley as well.
This book is an absolute must for contemporary romance readers! Can’t wait for Taryn and Vivian’s stories … so like… get on that.
Two city dwellers meet at a bar and have s3x for 314 pages straight. That’s it. That’s the whole story. 😆 Still ate it up though.
Ainsley is currently living her best life in NYC, but is ready for a not so little change. Ainsley wants to start a family, and waiting around for the perfect guy is taking way too long. After she gets stood up at a bar by another disastrous dating app pick, she wakes up along side a married couple in an unfamiliar apartment. As she scrambles around the apartment searching for her belongings, it becomes clearer than ever that dating apps aren’t getting her any closer to what she wants.
She shows up to her first meeting—a little disheveled but—ready to help a couple through their divorce, only to lock eyes with the owners of the bed she just left. So now things are terribly awkward, but the couple still wants her help. Too bad she can’t stop imagining their hands all over her body.
This book was steamy y’all! Like blink and you might miss any of the actual romance steamy. From the very beginning the tension between Ken and Ainsley is off the charts. Despite the fact that their first encounter was a group effort, these two are so stuck on only each other. The more they get to know each other the more they realize how much they want the same things in life. But they vow that it can never happen again, especially now that Ainsley is handling his divorce but that doesn’t stop those nasty jealous feeling from creeping up. And when the ink on the divorce papers dries, all bets are off.
There’s a lot of crying, lack of communication, and groveling. For two someones whose literal jobs are to help people talk through their problems, these two really sucked at speaking their minds. I wanted to shake them both more than a few times, but what matters is they get their happy ending in the end.
This book had a lot of fun characters, including cameos from previous couples. It’s fast paced, held my attention, and I’m very interested to see which other friends in Ainsley’s girl gang get their own book. I’m rooting for Eloise to have her moment to shine!
Let me start by saying I have not read "Central Park Collision (Love in the Big Apple Book 1). Now I have to go back and read it to find out more about Ainsley, Elia, and Charles.
Holy Crap! I think Nicole outdid herself with Madison Avenue Mediator!!! You know how some books, it takes a chapter or two before it grabs you? Well, not this one!!!! Chapter 1 reaches out/off the pages and grabs your heart and your brain!!! Whoa!!!
Ainsley wakes up realizing she is not in her own bed. She discovers she is laying next to a sexy guy AND a gorgeous woman!!! This leads me to my first favorite quote from the book: “Do you regularly make it a habit to pick people up at a bar together?” The snark slips out of me before I can apply my filter.”
Oh and it gets better from there, she goes to work later and Sexy Guy aka Ken Baker, and Gorgeous Woman are her new clients. There is instant chemistry that needs to stay hidden and in check until the divorce is final. Can it? Will it?
I forgot to mention that Ainsley wants a baby and is seriously thinking about going through a sperm bank to get what she wants.
Elia, Vivian, and Taryn are there for Ainsley no matter what. This leads me to my favorite quote #2: “I’m nothing if not consistent with living my life on the crazy train.”
So you will have to pick up the book to see if Ainsley gets what she wants. Does Ainsley know what she wants?
My other favorite quotes from the book are: “It’s that he makes me feel wanted for the first time in what feels like a long time.”
“He wanted to grill me on my new beau who was stealing me away to Italy like you were Hades riding off with me into the Underworld.” Nicole, I see what you did here!
“I realized that there is no world in which I won’t fall in love with you.”
“I know I’ll be hopeless for you because I already am.”
“I am so in love with you that I want to quote cheesy movies about you being the lamb and me being the lion.”
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
I've never heard of this series, but I have read Nicole Sanchez before, so when I was sent an arc of Madison Avenue Mediator, I was intrigued. It's not my usual trope, I will admit. I'm a real life mom, and reading is an escape of my adult responsibilities, so I tend to not read too many books that involve pregnancy. That being said, there were things I really loved about this book, and some things I didn't like so much.
I don't know if you can lump this book into the whole breeding kink trope. From my understanding, breeding kinks are when one's sole purpose is to impregnate the main character, with no romance involved. So while Madison Avenue Mediator doesn't fully fall under that umbrella, it kind of does? There is romance, but it almost feels like an afterthought to all the sex and baby-making. This leads to the one thing I didn't love about this book. For much of the book, it very much felt like Ken was just using Ainsley as an incubator. I could understand Ainsley's confusion over her feelings and Ken's intentions, because Ken was all over the place. I think if there was more emphasis on the romance between these two, I would have enjoyed it more.
I did enjoy the writing. The banter was good. The premise felt unique. I loved Ainsley's friends, and Ken's family. I loved Ainsley's no apologies given attitude about her dating life, and her willingness to go for what she wants, even if its unconventional. And even if I saw it from a mile away, the start of Ainsley and Ken's relationship was definitely interesting.
While Madison Avenue Mediator isn't one of my favorite reads this year, I still enjoyed it. I added the other books in the series to my tbr in fact, because their stories, or potential future stories, sound interesting.
I received this free eARC novel from the author. This is my honest review.
Wow. By far my favorite novel from Nicole Sanchez so far! I absolutely loved this story and these characters. Ainsley is an amazing, string female character who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to tell everyone what that is.
I love the unusual way she and Ken met. But what I REALLY love is the instant connection they had with each other. Sanchez wrote this impeccably, to the point I could feel every zing and emotion they felt throughout their encounters. Their attraction was off the charts and I loved every second of it.
The only thing that was a bit aggravating was their lack of communication. For being a mediator, Ainsley did a poor job expressing herself with words and having must have conversations right away.
I loved this story so much and I'm so glad I got the chance to read this book! As always, I'm looking forward to more by this author!
I received an arc of this book for an honest review. I enjoyed the story and think it was very well written. I enjoyed getting to know Ainsley after reading Central Park Collision. I wasn’t too into the way Ainsley and Ken met and so for me, it took a little away from the story and my buy-in to them as a couple. Overall, it was well written and I can definitely see the growth the author has made in her writing.
Love it! Ken is so sweet, and hot, in his determination for Ainsley, and Ainsley knows what she wants and is not afraid to go outside the norm for it. They make such a great and sweet couple, even with their not so meet cute. They have some SPICY public moments and I am ALLLL for it. So steamy, sweet, and romantic. Wonderful read!
I enjoyed this romance between Ainsley and Ken. We all know love can be found in different ways and through different avenues. Ken and Ainsley found theirs a bit unconventionally, rough and tough at times, but their love for one another helped them through all those times and they came out stronger in the end.
Another great installment in the Love in the Big Apple series. Out of all the girls in the series, Ainsley is my favorite, she is a train wreck and I am 100% here for it. The book is fun, an easy read, and has a very satisfying ending. I highly recommend!
I can't help but adore found family books/series. Nicole has a way of making a family with new and old friends, this book was no different. We start off with a deal which leads to love and finding the true other half of your heart and soul. What a great read.
What to expect: dash of forbidden romance (divorce attorney/client), pregnancy story line
From book one I was curious about Ainsley and I was glad we got to see more of her. The opening of the book is a blast, and I was cackling at the situation. Nicole does a fantastic job with humor throughout the book.
One of my favorite parts was how much of a badass Ainsley was, after not the best luck, she finally takes her life into her own hands and kicks ass.
The romance with Ken was spicyyy and romantic, and I was happy to see Ainsley get the happy ending she deserved!
