Trust is a combination of the value that others perceive in you, and their willingness to harmonize with and accept your advice to help them succeed. It's people seeking and taking your advice both as a counselor and a confidante. Someone who trusts you to a point where they call at some critical stage, because they know you are the ONE who can help them in a way that others cannot. But how do you develop trust? Follow the advice of Jeffrey Gitomer , bestselling author of the Little Books, which have now sold more than two million copies worldwide. As the world's foremost expert on selling, Gitomer is uniquely qualified to speak on the issue of trust, having earned a position of trust, both to his customers and readers. But you can do it and when you do, it will lead you to wealth beyond money. It's not success, it's fulfillment - both to you and the people who trust you. This book provides the insights and answers to all of these elements of trust, and gives the reader a solid understanding of the process, and a step-by-step game plan to achieve it.

I grew up with the mantra "trust no one" 🤯 BUT as an entrepreneur, coach, speaker, and content creator, trust is at the center of what I do. I trust myself and what I have to share the world. And my clients and those who consume my content trust me to deliver on that. TRUST is always important. What a great book to unpack this very important concept and reality for all of us ✅
Gitomer - the man is a genius, a legend in sales! His books are easy to digest and easy to apply if you take the initiative and get off your ass.
As the title suggests this book is all about trust. It can be used in all relationships, be that with your clients, prospects, at home, on the football field or wherever.
What I took from the book: Customer loyalty is so much more important than customer satisfaction. Trust has to be given to be received. Relationships are the most important part of selling. Prospects don't want a relationship with a "sales person" they want a relationship with a "trusted adviser". You really need to trust yourself. All this takes time.
I think everyone should read this book. It's a quick easy read that comes back during the day to haunt your thoughts and make you ponder what you are doing and why.
Excellent book by Mr. Gitomer regarding a very important topic and word that has a significant impact on all business and personal relationships. Jeffrey uses his creative style to remind and refresh us of the core value of TRUST, something that will open or close doors very quickly. I appreciate his comparison of trust to a credit report. When we don't pay our debts as we are trusted to do, our credit (trust) score drops and it gets harder to get more credit (trust). In many cases it can take as long a 7-10 years to bounce back with a clean slate. Earn it! Grow it! Keep It! The little Teal is a big deal. Read this book today! Thanks for a great addition to my personal development library.
An indispensable read no matter your current job or relationships with others. Trust is a topic too often ignored or misunderstood. Jeffrey digs deep, challenges, and provides practical and actionable ideas. The road to earning, growing, and keeping trust is not a cake walk, but Jeffrey provides the insight and roadmap to keep you on the right path. Highly recommended.
Initially I thought this was a book centered around trust in business, but it's much more than that. It first teaches you about how to trust in your personal life - as that can inevitably extend to your professional life. Some strong points touched on in each chapter, it's a must read if you feel the need to hone your social skills - or re-evaluate your current way of thinking.
Very inspiring book. It went through all the different aspects of not only trust but respect, dignity and loyalty. It dug deep into these traits from external to internal relationships. If you're wanting to reach another level of understanding trust with self sales and business then this book is a definitive yes.
The signed copy of this book is sitting on my bedside table right now. This is the first Gitomer book I read after seeing him speak at The Little Gym Reunion in 2009. I chose to read this of all the books we bought that day because trust is a very important part of my work as a consultant. If you don't have trust with your consulting client, nothing else really matters. This book helps make sure you keep trust at the forefront of your relationships and has plenty of tips for helping maintain trust.
This is my favorite Gitomer book. Well, maybe not favorite because it's deeply challenging to me. When I weigh myself in the trust scale I'm wanting. Yes, I'm honest and truthful but I haven't built anything close to the level of trust Gitomer writes about. I've got work to do.
An excellent book on building trust and how its earned. A must read for anyone in advisory business or sales. I will definitely read this book again. A lot of great tips.
