September 28, 2012I loved it! A very pleasant read and it reminds me why I love Italy. I am part Italian, so it makes me proud of my heritage.

Let’s get this book’s flaws out of the way first. (1) It’s a little dated (and somewhat politically incorrect as a result) and (2) most chapters end with a rather cheesy concluding sentence. However, I learned so much about the country and culture of my ancestry that I truly believe it deserves five stars. I very much enjoyed reading it and I’ll be referring back to it from time to time.

Given to me on a bad day by a good friend Anna. We Italians have lots to be proud about! A fun coffeetable read, but not much else.
