The life that wants to live in you is different than the life you are living.
If you’ve ever had the feeling that something is missing, that there must be more to life, or that you have so much more to offer, [reclaim!] is about to change your life.
Young or old, single, or married, rich or poor, people from all walks of life share these same sentiments. If you’ve ever heard your own soul whispering one of these feelings, then this book is about to change your life.
Through an enlightening question-and-answer format, inspiring stories, and practical articles, Matthew Kelly reveals a truth we all need to hear: these feelings within us are not human malfunctions. They are a message from the deepest part of you, calling you to settle for nothing less than the very-best-version-of-you.
Matthew Kelly is a best-selling author, speaker, thought leader, entrepreneur, consultant, spiritual leader, and innovator.
He has dedicated his life to helping people and organizations become the-best-version-of-themselves. Born in Sydney, Australia, he began speaking and writing in his late teens while he was attending business school. Since that time, 5 million people have attended his seminars and presentations in more than 50 countries.
Today, Kelly is an internationally acclaimed speaker, author, and business consultant. His books have been published in more than 30 languages, have appeared on The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestseller lists, and have sold more than 50 million copies.
In his early-twenties he developed "the-best-version-of-yourself" concept and has been sharing it in every arena of life for more than twenty-five years. It is quoted by presidents and celebrities, athletes and their coaches, business leaders and innovators, though perhaps it is never more powerfully quoted than when a mother or father asks a child, "Will that help you become the-best-version-of-yourself?"
Kelly's personal interests include golf, music, art, literature, investing, spirituality, and spending time with his wife, Meggie, and their children Walter, Isabel, Harry, Ralph, and Simon.
Matthew Kelly is an inspiration to many people. I love the way he writes and have read a lot of his books.[reclaim] is a great read that will help many of us. It makes you take a step back and examine yourself and your life. Trying to be the best version of ourselves is an ongoing task for most of us and this book will help one reclaim their priorities, voice, soul, heart, spirituality, health, peace of mind and hope for the future (just to name a few). Everyone needs to read this book.
This is not my favorite of Matthew Kelly's books. The style - more like an interview by Jack Beers - did not especially appeal to me. I did, however, find the "bit of inspiration" that introduced each chapter and some of the quotes from people like Mother Teresa and St Ignatius of Loyola helpful and, well, inspirational.
Solid 3.5. Matthew Kelly has gems of wisdom that are great to hang on a bathroom mirror to start your day. I like that he gives five ideas on how to reclaim the topics he covers. I'm not a real fan of the interview format of this book. On a side not better proof reading is needed. The errors can be distracting.
Another guide to how more thoroughly connect with our own spirituality and focus in daily life, so that we may uncover our shortcomings and start fresh - each day if needed- to become truly loving and caring people. Another title to be re-read so the reader can focus on what aspects of their life the suggestions apply to at that point.
