"Billionaire and the Cowgirl" is the story of Astor and Cane.
The hero has always loved the heroine, yet rejected her ages ago to protect her from a family curse. Now that it's been proven wrong, he tries to win her back- but she refuses to relent. He is determined to win her heart, and eventually, he does. There's a lot of drama, but the book ends in a nice HEA.

Be still my swooning heart! I absolutely positively loved this one, it has to be my favorite in this series (although I also melted for tuckers story, too!)
I loved how faithful Cane was to Astor. He knew she was it for him and even when he didn’t think they had a chance, he wasn’t going to mess around with other females.
Their journey together was a bit rocky, with obstacles like an angry embittered father in the way, but cane isn’t going to let a little thing like an old man with a shotgun stop him from claiming his girl. He’s waited long enough and he’s coming for her
100% totally safe. Double virgins. No others, no cheating or abuse. Baby-making!! HEA with epilogue years out

I hate how weak I am when it comes to Cane Justice. I can’t keep my mouth shut. The anger I still have for him only reminds me that I’m clearly still in love with him. Which only makes me madder at the situation.
Out of all the Justice men, Cane is the hottest, and I’m not saying that because I’m in love with the man. You’d have to be blind not to see how handsome he is.
I’ve seen girls lose the ability to speak in his presence. He isn’t only handsome, he’s damn charming too. And he knows it. So does his entire family. It’s why he’s the one that’s always sent out when something needs to be smoothed over. They know he can basically convince anyone to do anything.
🐴ASTOR CALLOWAY-Mid 20s-
My cousin’s wife once told me that Astor Callaway was too beautiful for this world. It’s true that there’s no one more arresting, more suited to magazine covers and billboards and the big screen than Astor Callaway. It’s not just her face, either. It’s everything. She’s kind-hearted, a devoted daughter, a steady friend. She loves deeply and fiercely. I would know.
Since that day in the field when i turned her down, Astor’s refused to speak to me. At least verbally. She will occasionally send me a glare that should put me on my knees. Those are the good days. Most of the time, she ignores me. I’m no more important to her than the dust that rises from the back of her boots.
I live for the glares. That she has some feeling toward me, even if it’s anger, helps me get up in the morning.

🐎As you all know that Astor and Cane have this "eye-battle" going on , where she just glares at him from across the street and he makes this expression in return-🥺 aka "The Puppy eyes".
🐎But you know why that is? Because apparently Cane turned her down in high-school when she confessed her loved in the middle of the field. He DID love her very much at that time , but , because of the "Curse" he was afraid he'd loose her if he started a relationship with Astor, so he let her go.
🐎Astor SLAPPED him that day😝when he turned her down.
🐎Not to mention the grumpy old man of Astor, who hates hates HATTTESS the justice men, cause they sold him a mentally unstable horse ALLL those years ago, which caused Astor's dad to fall off the horse and made him PERMANENTLY stuck to the wheel chair.
🐎That's not entirely true, because that wasn't the Justice's fault. The guy in the middle who worked for justice men was shady as fuck. And he intentionally sold the defected horse to Astor's dad without the knowledge of any Justice.
🐎Astor's dad refuses to beileve so and LOATHES the Justice men. And blames his dis-ability on them.
🐎Cane , by the way, is ABSOLUTELY done waiting. He will NOT let ANYONE stop him from making Astor his girl. the mother of his babies.
“What are you doing here?” she demands. Her dark brows are crunched together, making her look like a fierce and angry angel coming to render some kind of heavenly punishment which I would welcome. Like, Yes, let me get on my knees in front of you and beg for mercy. I’ll take all of my clothes off to make it easier on you as well.

🤠This was fast-paced.
🤠So i felt that she caved too easily.
🤠Why do i feel like she should have pushed a LITTLE more?
🤠Although they DID start a relationship early in the book, she doubted her feelings almost till the end.
🤠Was this better than the last release? No.
🤠Was this more funny that the last book? Yes. Absolutely.
🤠This book was the funniest in the series. See-
The elevator dings, the doors sliding open. Before I know it, Cane has me swept up into his arms and is carrying me off. “Next time we’re in the elevator, we’ll make out.”
“Why the elevator?” I laugh.
“Isn’t that what girls want? I read that Fifty Shades book to see if I could learn something to woo you back. They were always getting it on in the elevator.” I burst into laughter. I laugh so hard that tears start to roll down my cheeks.

“I don’t think I want anyone reading those.” She scrunches her cute nose.

“Why? Because they fuel your imagination? Because you’re starting to think of us on that bed over there and it’s making you hot and sticky? Because there’s an ache in your body that never goes away when you think of me?” I reach out and touch her knee. “That’s how it feels for me. Every time I see you in town or drive by your place or hear your name—or even, hell, think I hear your name—I start aching down low. I go home and work hard, sweating buckets until all those thoughts are driven out, but, at night, when there’s nothing but dark skies, endless land, and the soft sounds of the cattle, need creeps over me. I spend those long hours in bed restless with want for you.”

Argumento:
Nunca podría dejarla ir de verdad...
Cane Justice me rompió el corazón en el instituto. ¿Ahora cree que puede volver a entrar en mi vida y reclamarme? Si ese es el caso, ese vaquero multimillonario tiene otra cosa que hacer.
Ya no soy la misma chica que era antes. Hará falta algo más que palabras dulces y el encanto sureño de Cane para volver a conquistarme.
Astor es la única chica a la que he amado. La dejé ir, pensando que la estaba salvando. Todo lo que hice fue rompernos a los dos.
Fue el peor error de mi vida.
Las probabilidades están en mi contra, pero le demostraré a Astor que todo lo que he hecho es por nuestro amor.
Mí humilde opinión:
Disfruto de la mayoría de las novelas cortas de Ella Goode, es un despeje para mí cabeza luego de una mala lectura o las pesadas. Y la serie Justice me da todas las buenas sensaciones. Es divertida, dulce, exagerada y sexy, los hombres Justice no se detienen ante nada hasta conseguir a las mujeres que aman y es todo un placer verlos en acción.
La historia de Cane y Astor puede ser predecible y algo cursi pero era una linda historia de amor sobre el perdón y las segundas oportunidades, también tenía una dosis de angustia. Cuando jóvenes él rompió el corazón de ella luego que le confesara su amor y desde entonces se convirtió en su enemiga.
Cómo no, se portó como un idiota! Pero él nunca dejó de amarla y sufrir por su error, la maldición de su familia ya no le importa solo enmendar el daño y demostrarle que él y Astor deben estar juntos para ser realmente felices en sus vidas porque obviamente aún se quieren y solo son miserables separados.
Me hubiera gustado saber su punto de vista sobre la maldición Justice en ese momento, de repente ya no cree en eso? Y antes dejó al amor de su vida y la mantuvo lejos años después?
Astor no quiere saber nada de Cane al principio y me encantó cómo de a poco vuelven a conectar, me reía cuando ella lo rechazaba, él decía que al menos le volvía a hablar tras años de silencio, era mejor que nada. Esta era una pareja que quería ver junta luego de tanto dolor, tenían química que se sentía en sus interacciones, eran posesivos el uno con el otro, esto me sacó algunas carcajadas.
Lo único que me daba bronca y quería decirle unas cuantas cosas es a Hollis, el padre de Astor, era un hombre tan terco y egoísta con su hija. Menos mal que ella al final le pone en su lugar.
Me encantó ver a otros personajes de la serie y también que padre de Hollis y Cane lograran llevarse bien.
Esperaba esta historia desde el libro uno y no me decepcionó nada, la he disfrutado como loca.

And that was that - Astor wasn't sticking around to get her heart broken any more than it was. Cane doesn't leave her alone though. If she needs help, he is there (behind her back, of course - she wants nothing to do with Cane Justice). But he's had enough now. He knows he messed up and he'll make Astor see that they belong together...again.
Commentary: I liked this second chance story. Poor Cane was trying to do the right thing and it backfired; now he's been groveling for years. But he isn't giving up, and I love that about him. He knows that Astor is his girl; he knew it back then and he knows it now. I like that once they came together, there was no back and forth. The problem was her refusal to tell her dad, and while I can understand, it's weird that it went on for so long. Her dad was not cool at all!

Another novella with a Justice man who realises he cannot stay away from the love of his life despite curses and fears, so he switches on the charm to erode a cowgirl's distrust. In this story, I particularly liked that the man has been doing good deeds for his lady anonymously forever.
What's more, he tries with all his might and good intentions to make her life better. She's also a tough cookie and knows how to face the storm. All the scenes are entertaining as there's love and lust, but also places to go, things to do and a cowgirl to convince that he is the hero she needs. It's also quite funny when he gets all territorial. I loved the scene with the neighbouring farmer. So good.
It's quite endearing how this couple fights for their relationship. Opposition from family and some inner doubts make the happy ending all the more exciting. Really cute second chance romance novella.

While I liked that cane was all in, I don’t understand why he had a change of heart. He never mentions the curse only Astor did. So what made him change his mind?

This was a steamy and sweet second chance book. I am so glad that Astor and Cane finally got their book. I loved how determined, stubborn, and sweet Astor. Cane is done regretting letting Astor go so now, he is going to do anything and everything in is power to make Astor fall in love with him again. There is a little bit of drama but nothing will stand in a Justice's way of getting what he wants. I can't wait to see what Ms. Ella has in store for us. I would highly recommend this book and Ms. Ella as a wonderful and must read author.

I am glad to finally have Cane and Astor's story. I loved that even though Astor was so angry at him Cane continued to care for her from afar. These two definitely deserved their HEA.

Once upon a time, she considered forgiving him that thought crashed and burned the day of her father’s accident, when the horse her father had bought from one of the Justice trainers unseated him—not only changing the trajectory of her father’s life but hers as well. He now loathes the Justice men. Her father is convinced that Cane is responsible for his injury. Their trainer stole the horse and sold it, saying that it had the Justice stamp of approval. Her father couldn’t resist because the horse was being offered at such a good price given his lineage.
Her father is all she has left in her life, but he’s become a bitter, angry old man, nothing like the father she once knew. He was never perfect, but now he hates everything, a shell of the man, changed beyond recognition. He changed once her mum was gone.
She finally forgives Cane, her father not as much, however once his first grandchild Jewel is born, he’s less of a curmudgeon and more accepting.
The curse is all but forgotten.

Again, I hate in this series, men who are pinning for the women they supposedly love and letting them be heartbroken for nearly a decade. Well this idiot did just that. They were not boyfriend and girlfriend (remember the dreaded Justice curse), but everyone at school knew that they might as well be, they were practically tied to the hip. When she was 16 and he just turned 18 and getting ready to go to college, she was afraid to lose him, so she gathered her courage and told him she was in love with him, hoping he would wait for her (no worries he is madly in love with her and would have waited), well he said that it was the biggest mistake for her to tell him that, and he turned and walked away, leaving her heartbroken *eye roll* I swear these Justice men, although hot, make me so mad I want to slap each of them!
A DECADE goes by, and they are neighbors, she lives with her dad, in a wheelchair after an accident he blames on the Justice family, and he takes care of her bills and sneaks on the property to take care of things for her, knowing that she is struggling. She is mad (I would be too girl), and when she comes to see her care at the auto shop, there he is and she tells him to stop paying for her things and to leave her alone! He tried for a while to go after her, but boy does she make him work for it and grovel, and chase, and reminds him that her heart was broken and there is no coming back. He has his work cut out for him, but he goes full force and wins his girl back. HEA of course and the Dad too changed his ways enjoying being a grandpa.
The hero was funny, and I chuckled at the few funny things he said, and he is my favorite, but still....A DECADE!!!

Honestly, this series has been hit or miss with me.
With Cane and Astor, the story was just okay for me.
At 16 Astor admitted her love for Cane Justice and rather than reciprocate the feelings, Cane told her that was the biggest mistake she could make.
Years later resentment for the Justice family seems to grow in the Callaway household when Astor's father is injured after being bucked off a horse that was sold to him by Cane's horse trainer.
Throughout the years for Cane there's only been Astor. After watching 3 of his cousin's fall in love despite the family curse he's now determined to win back the love of the one woman he let get away.
Usually this is where I would say something like "but Astor isn't going to just fall for Cane's charms easily". But I would be lying. I feel as if Astor didn't put up any kind of fight. If anything I almost feel like she gave in so quickly to spite her father because she was coming to kind of resent him and the way he was acting after his accident. After all the years of being sour to Cane she just gives in and even after reading the first 3 books in this series any kind of interaction between them was more cold than what was even in their own book.

Cane had rebuffed Astor when she confessed her love for Cane at 16. He was 18 and had seen what living a Justice man did to women, they all died before 30, he lived Astor and couldn’t do that to her. Since then he has watched out for her and helped pay her bills and take care of things around her ranch secretly. She avoids Cane as much as possible, she may still love him but she doesn’t trust him. To add to their problems, her father bought a horse from a crooked trainer that worked for the Justice’s for a short time, he stole the horse and sold it to Astor’s father at a discount and her dad fell and was injured because the horse was not ready. Not able to fight it anymore Astor gives in and the two enjoy their first time together, dual virgins. Cane knows he wants Astor to be his wife and sets out to win her father over. Easier said than done, he’s turned into a mean old man who causes a lot of stress and pain to Astor. A surprise pregnancy and Cane telling her father how things are going to be from now on. He proposes to Astor and epilogue with two kids and Astor’s dad healed and a part of their lives.
Hopefully next up is Blake.

I really loved this book. I jumped her straight from Book 1 (Socialite and the Cowboy) because I wanted to read Cane and Astor's story after being introduced to the charming Cane and radiant Astor. And I think my favorite thing was how fundamentally different these characters were then Calder and Birdie in the first book.
When reading series like this, more often then not, the female and/or male MC's tend to all be this modge-podge of alpha traits and spitfire women who all say and think the same things. But Cane's biggest personality trait is his charm and charisma, not only opposite to Calder's more brooding nature, but also that matches the character he was introduced as in the first book.
Astor was proud and ignorant to her beauty and kind heart. But god she never stopped loving Cane Justice. Both of them had almost been living in stasis, dedicated to each other but being kept apart by outer forcers, pride, and self-inflicted distance.
This was a beautiful novella and I enjoyed it a lot.

I’m enjoying the hell out of this series. It’s something about a novella that gets me, straight to the point, little drama and swoony hero’s who only have their eyes on the heroine.

Cane regrets making the decision he did when they were younger, and he tries to make amends by taking care of Astor from afar. But he has decided enough is enough, and he is done trying to do things on the sly because Astor finally spoke more than two words to him.
Ella Goode has a knack for the short and dirty novella that gives me everything that I need. A strong storyline, an instant connection, good characters, and all the moments that I need to get me out of book hangovers or book slumps. I can guarantee a take charge hero that won't let his heroine get away. If you haven't read Ella Goode yet, you should.
