Don’t waste your time. This author knows nothing about Korea or Koreans - hard to believe a character in the book didn’t know about getting cold water from a fridge door. Does this author not know Korea makes great high end fridges? Is she that ignorant? Her portrayal of Koreans as backward race smacks of racism. Don’t get me started on spelling and grammar mistakes. Worst book I started reading but didn’t finish ever.

I don't know if we can give zero rating here as this is my first review.
What a waste of time this book is. The whole book could have been finished in 2 or 3 chapters for it's lack of backstory, unnecessary repetitive explanation of situations and the attitude of characters. There was no strength at all in any of the characters building. A mafia boss worrying about not wanting to get in the way of cops was a laughing dose for me everytime I read.
A well rehearsed fall in love story like in all books but completely without proper reasoning and thinking, just for the sake of it.
I completely skimmed the end few chapters. The characters portrayal, plot and climax had no point at all.
Grammar mistakes, spelling error, poorly written storyline, everything was a big disappointment.

My rating does not mean that this book is bad by any means, but personally, I just did not enjoy reading it!!
I very much enjoyed the fact that we saw from the perspectives of both main characters, however I just did not connect with the characters. I think this is due to the fact that the writing was just a bit too fast pace for me. In my opinion, a lot of the characters actions and thoughts were told rather than shown. Also, I think the way the author made Hana talk/think about different languages was slightly clunky. For example, how when she spoke in Korean, she would say "I said blah blah in Korean" . Or how her fluency differed throughout the book.
Overall, the book is good. The storyline. The writing.Just not for me. This book is NOT a one star book, it's just rated that in comparison to my other ratings and personal opinion 😊

Mafia violence, DV, language and more
She's a slave to one mob, stolen to be a prisoner for another. He may be the one that stole her, but really he saved her.
I enjoyed the book, except for the multiple grammatical errors.
HEA as far as I can tell, can be read as a standalone as I read it, but I hope to eventually get all the books in the series.

This feels like it was a quickly rushed fanfic for an angsty 18 year old. Besides being poorly edited, there was no development in the characters or plot. Thank god it was free w/ Prime. I would be requesting a refund had I paid for this.. Wishing I did not have this in my "Read" section. Not worth it.

good story
Didn’t know how this was going to work but the story did Sean kidnapped the woman from the Korean mob only to find out that she is his wife in name only especially when he sees her marks from beatings he then slowly takes his time to get to know her and she likes the way she is treated by him a good story

It was a good book, it definitely pulled me in and kept me turning pages. But in terms of cultural authenticity it wasn't great. But the storyline was decent and also, for my fellow picky readers, there were a few grammatical hiccups sprinkled throughout. Nothing completely derailing, but enough to notice.

wattpad story at best
It’s written like s m u t with a very basic plot and a lot of fluff, yet there are very few steamy scenes. It left a whole lot to be desired on top of very stereotypical depictions of both MCs and a whole lot of editing errors.

I randomly found this book on kindle and figured I’d give it a read while I’m waiting for book mail, I actually really enjoyed the book but feel like it definitely could have been longer I didn’t like how it ended it almost didn’t feel as though that was the end of the book.

Prime reading subscription said I might enjoy this
(Never read erotica for prime to recommend this to me)
But anyways, I wasn't necessarily repulsed by this because it delivers exactly what it claims. A cliche dark romance
From what I remember, macho mafia (I forgot which ethinicty) is trying to overthrow weak fragile Korean mafia (yeah I laughed at that too). Their plan was to hold the Korean mafias wife captive but she was more than happy to be kidnapped
I think macho mafia kills Korean mafia and marries the wife
Did I mention he asks for consent 😍😍😍
Omg yassss please idolize the bare minimum, we're all for it
Oh and he cooks, and he's buff, and he's not Korean (that's what the book told me)
