➳ Wow after that explosive cliff hanger in Green Envy, thankfully we started right where we left off in the next installment
Fair warning if you have ever read any of Aleatha Romig books, y0u know to expect a cliffhanger
So many questions were answer in this 3rd installment, but damn that evil woman. (Aleatha Romig ) left me with so many more unanswered questions
➳ Gold Lust, in this installment we might see- Julia and Van. Have been living in their own Lil bubble, pretending their snow globe was intact.
With all the tools Van had tried to provide to Julia, knowledge on how to succeed at Wade, he failed to give her the basic information she needed now. Van & Julia snow globe might have crack just tiny bit in this installment
Julia thinks she is losing her mind that Van completely changed his whole personality in less than a millisecond. What had been right only minutes before was transformed into wrong.
He’s become an icon in the business world, yet there’s a part of him that is kindhearted and generous. Well, that was only until someone took his Lil piece of heaven. Now he’s going to turn Chicago upside down looking for her. Van will learn even with all the new security increased after the last incident that there is still away in to their snow globe

Gold Lust starts right where Green Envy left off. Aleatha Romig is the queen of romance & suspense. My one click author always, waiting til midnight and checking excitedly for the book to hit my kindle/audiobook. Then staying up all night with toothpicks under my eyes trying to finish the last page to wake up and start all over again. This is how all Aleatha's books are for me.
Van & Julia relationship is awesome their snow globe is beautiful. That is until it shatters, There was no spark or yellow flicks in his eyes, cold but how could it be it looks like Van? This is when Julia learns Van is a triplets. Unfortuately when she meets his identical brother it was not under great circumstance, mistaken identity, kidnapping, fake wedding or a trap?
This book there was so many twist and turns Van & Julia could not get a break every time they leave or bring the outside into their orbit it is chaos. No one wants their globe to stay in tact. Once Van & Julia are back in Minnesota all is well...NOT Yes the queen of suspence and cliffhanger is back.

While Gold Lust added more twists and turns and questions to the story, it also gave us significant revelations on Van’s past. The web of destruction of Madison, Van and Philip’s relationship was filled with jealousy, obsession and vengefulness and a past that was always going to rear its ugly head again. How can Van keep Julia safe from all of that?
The ending was a good cliffy but not really a huge surprise. I look forward to seeing how everything wraps up in the last book. So many questions and so many needed answers…..

WOW, JUST WOW! Aleatha Romig really knows how to weave a story with so many moving parts that you need to follow closely because if you don't you're going to be in for one heck of a surprise just like Julia was at the end of this book.
This series must be read in the order it has been released because each of the books end in a cliffhanger, and GOLD LUST picks up right where GREEN ENVY left off and we are left with another crazy cliffy. I cannot wait for BLACK KNIGHT to release, thankfully we don't have to wait to long for it.
Van and Julia's story will have you hooked from the very first page of the very first book and will have you craving more. From Julia's family hiding secrets from her while others are hiding things from them, to Donovan's crazy past coming back to haunt him. It all makes for one heck of a read, each and every time!
I would recommend this book/series to anyone that enjoys Steamy Romantic Suspense Reads, Age Gap Romances, or Romances that will have you hooked from the very first page.

Gold Lust kept me engrossed right from the start. The suspense in chapter one alone was so intense that I never lost interest and was intrigued all the way to the end.
I found the story kept taking twists and turns. It was fascinating to try and figure out what was happening. Most of the time I’m very good at figuring things out. Not this time, you think you know but you don’t. The reasons it's so compelling are the strength of the characters, the plot was really good and the expert pacing. And oh my gawd, the ending of this book, wow, just wow, really?!? I need Black Knight now!
The author has a unique way of feeling you in and keeping you hooked. If you're looking for a mystery, intrigue, suspense, secrets revealed, and unconditional love novel, this is a must-read!

“Gold Lust” -- the penultimate book of the series -- rocks addictive passion … stirs envy of soulful love … raises doubt about who’s actually in control … and delivers nerve-wracking suspense, mystery, and worry throughout this heart thumping romantic nail-biter.
There’s blood pounding uncertainty about many things in this turn of events for lovers Van and Julia. The middle of this book is the lull between two storms that rocked me twice in a double-twist that actually bookends the story and spells real trouble for our heroic couple. Van has some serious ‘splainin’ to do in a master stroke worthy of AR’s evil genius. After all, she’s proven to be a master chessman with her story and character pieces, and although I partially foresaw one twist, the other was a truly ingenious twist. My jaw dropped once again at the cliffy.
The book is layered with suspense, mystery and the unknown and plenty of action between the sheets. Just when Van and Julia knock down one obstacle, another pops up. Finale book BLACK KNIGHT is yet to come and I’m furious at AR for making me wait!!!!

OH-MY-GOODNESS-HAVE-MERCY!!! I CAN'T EVEN!!! Aleatha Romig is doing what she does best, again, and bringing all the thrills, steam and take-your-breath-away suspense to Gold Lust, the third book in her Sin Series. Just when you think it can't get any better, IT DOES! Right from the get-go, this author wields her mighty pen and draws you into a non-stop, action-packed story that will have you on the edge of your seat, flipping pages and screaming out loud. Van and Julia's story is twisted and intricately woven. You can't help but be completely carried away with them as they struggle to find their way to their own happily ever after. And the struggle is real! Van is so alpha-licious! He's sexy, smooth and swoon-worthy. Julia is smart, sweet and starry-eyed when it comes to Van and who can blame her? But there's so many secrets, so many what if's, so many questions...who's hiding what?...who's pulling the strings?...who's got the answers? Just when you think you may be getting somewhere....nooooooooo, you're at "THE END"!!! I cannot tell you how much I'm loving this series! I did not put Gold Lust down until the very last page and that’s when I started to breathe again! Author Aleatha Romig is the goddess of suspense and man oh man she will have you sitting of the edge of your seat!
You will scream at Julia and yell at Van to move quicker and you may contemplate throwing an object or two. All of this means “damn” she writes amazing books! Gold Lust continues to bring us Julia and Van’s love story but now there are new characters, new dangers as well as lots of steam and heat between Van and Julia.
Will they actually get married? Why is his brother so intent on punishing Van?
Who had been in the cabin? So many questions, some answers and enough suspense that will keep you flipping pages until the end.

This book picks up right where Green Envy left off. I'm so invested in Julia and Van's relationship. These two just can't catch a break. So many twists and turns in this one. If I'm being honest, I expected the ending. I anticipated who it was going to be. We had little clues that I picked up on throughout. Still shocked me. Still loved it. Can't wait for the next one to come out!
You really need to read all the prior books before this one. You won't be disappointed!

Gold Lust continues after the explosive cliff hanger we were left with and Van and Julia’s turmoil and chaos story gets better and better.
This couple has struggled to reach happiness. Every time they turn a corner a new roadblock is in their way, another hurdle to jump through, another family member to confront and destroy. Will Van and Julia finally get their happily ever after or will this all come crashing down on them? We will have to wait and find out in the conclusion.
Aleatha consistently gives us stories that are gripping, characters that we love to love or love to hate, but she always gives us the desire of more.

Aleatha Romig kicked this book off right! She snared my attention from the first page and held it until the last. Something that she has been doing, that I truly appreciate, is making the prologue the very last chapter of the previous book. It really helps refresh things so you always remember where the story left off. In this book we get to see the love between Julia and Van grow even deeper. This book also keeps you guessing and wanting so much more, as nuggets of information is giving. I felt greedy for more as I kept reading. Then she goes and leaves it on that cliffhanger! I so need that last book and can’t wait to see what happens next!

Donovan and Julia are fabulous. LOVE Donovan and his sexiness...his alphaness...his possessiveness...his protectiveness....but also his need/want to support Julia in what she wants. To put his own needs or agenda aside if necessary.
A bit of a romantic suspense series with lots and lots of steaminess...it's definitely not one that you want to pass up on reading.
I cannot wait for Black Knight, book 4, to come out!!!

And the mystery and suspense just keeps building and building. Van and Julia keep getting dealt blow after blow, granted nothing that can't be fixed or undone. And just when it seems that all is right in their world, Ms. Romig throws us one h3ll of a curve. Some may see it coming, if you've read this author enough, you know to always be on the lookout for the tiniest of hints that she drops like breadcrumbs.
Now that the cat's out of the bag, it's going to be a long wait until June when we get the conclusion in Black Knight.

Gold Lust is the continuation of Van and Julia's story as outside forces who seek to destroy their "snow globe" and relationship start to close in. Aleatha Romig has crafted a story that is suspenseful, romantic, dramatic, shocking, and full of secrets. To say that I was speechless would be an understatement, especially with that nail-biting cliffhanger. I'm shocked, frustrated, and dying to read the next book. While I did feel like the romance suffered a bit because of the antagonists' machinations, Julia and Van's passion and understanding for each other continues to shine through. This has always been my favorite part about their love story and I hope that Aleatha will give us more of that and what we got in Red Sin. I wanted to see more of Donovan's possessive and dominant side because Julia clearly finds it irresistible.
The book immediately picks up where Green Envy last left off and Julia has been "kidnapped" by none other than Van's estranged brother, Phillip. What followed was a tense situation for Van as he races to save Julia from those who seek to harm her and in extension—him. I actually really enjoyed this part of the story because there were so many twists and turns as Julia and Van struggled to find their happily ever after while circumstances prevented them from being truly oblivious and happy. Throughout the book, I couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. It wasn't until the end that we're hit with a shocking revelation. While Van and Julia were blissfully unaware of their situation, a second "antagonist" was working behind the scenes to interrupt their happily ever after.
In the end, I really enjoyed Gold Lust even though I did feel like it was "filler" in preparation for Black Knight—the final book in the series. Everything has been building up to this point and it's time for the antagonists to finally take off their masks. One thing I have always liked about this series was that the story often moves back and forth between the past and present as we get snippets of Van's previous life. There's no denying that he was more selfish, callous, and cruel in those scenes. His obsession with Madison ruined his family's relationships but the blame can't be placed solely on him. I hated Madison for manipulating Van and how passive she was when it came to her relationships. She clearly didn't deserve him and I'm so glad that Julia came into his life and made it better. Fans of Aleatha Romig will adore this series because it has all of the tropes we've all come to know and love about this author. Julia and Van were always meant to be together and despite several malevolent forces at play, I doubt that it will be strong enough to break their "snow globe."

Carefully plotted…an abundance of cunning business thriller themes…invigorating until the last page.
Talk about holding your interest, this story is hard to put down. The characters are well developed and make you feel as if you are there with them. Aleatha in her own inimitable style has scattered enough twists and turns, it keeps you hooked, lined and sinkered from first page to the last.
"The life I knew was now only visible through the reflection of a carnival mirror, one that distorted reality, making things appear differently than they existed. What had been right only minutes before was transformed into wrong. The world had turned upside down, "
This series just keeps on giving like a treasure chest of passions.
OR is it the Pandora Box, because as soon as it opened with Red Sinthe troubles of Donovan Sherman & Julia McGrath's troubles never seem to end.
“If red sin is a thing,” I said, “maybe this is gold lust.”
Saturated with Sparkling emotions, this book starts where the book 2 Green Envy ended, on a horrible, dreadful note. The start is puzzling and confusing for Julia. She's standing on a precipice and though her logic says to jump, her gut instincts are telling her otherwise.
This book deals with them growing mature together, re-enforcing trust bridges, opening up communication channels so love flows again in full force.
"Within Van’s orbit, the world calmed. The glass of our globe defied principles of matter, reversing its shattered state, growing stronger, and keeping us safe from outside forces. "
But obviously the ghosts from the troubled past still lurk in the shadows, waiting to jeopardize the lovebird's tranquil nest.
One even manages to enter the safety net and crash the ultimate union.
I'd love to elaborate more, but that will give away a lot of secrets.
This one again ends on a Cliffie, but that's good! It means more of this intriguing story is in Aleatha'd closet.

Gold Lust (Sin Series Book 3) by Aleatha Romig. Once Julia is in the car with Van actually his identical twin Philip pretending to be Van, she knows something is off. When he changes the plan about leaving today, she begins to worry. The real Van is livid that Philip got his hands on Julia but he also mad he never told her that they were identical. Now frantic to find her he knows his past sins are coming back to bite him in his butt. He never got to tell his whole story about him, Philip and Madison to Julia. I think he really had no intention on telling the story about that part of his life. This story reveals more of what really happened in the past between the 3 of them. We the reader discover what Van has done but Julia is still in the dark. Not only does Van have to deal with his past but he is still trying to get to the bottom of what is going on with Wade pharmaceutical, who are all the players and what are their motives concerning the health of Wade. As Van and Julia get close to their wedding day things don't always work out the way we want them to. This book was a really good set up to the conclusion for the next book. This story ended on a cliffhanger I truly did not see happening. Boy oh boy!!!! I wonder how all this will end. I just have to wait. I'm not happy at all. 4 stars for me.

Gold Lust is absolutely amazing! From the moment I started the story, until the very last page, I was all in. I loved being back in this world, and finding out what happened after Green Envy finished. Which if you've read that one, you know the cliffhanger we were left with.
And let me tell you, A LOT happened in Gold Lust. It's intense. Especially that cliffhanger!
While I gained more information about Van, I still have numerous questions. Not just about him, but the Butlers, the McGraths, Lena, Madison, and Philip. Then there are a couple of Van's employees that have raised some flags for me. I'm not certain they are working in Van's best interest, but rather that of another. Also, Greensphere. What is that all about? Who is behind it? I mean I have a gut feeling, but...
What I do know is that I need Black Knight now. June is too far away. I need answers! I need to know how this story concludes!

I was overwhelmed at how quickly I was completely absorbed in the third book in the Sin Series. From the first words on the first page I was enthralled, like seriously couldn’t put the book down. Once again, Aleatha Romig at her brilliant best and this story takes you to every high and every emotional low.
Julia and Vans story continues to intrigue, with a kidnapping, completely unexpected, and the ever present darkness of Vans brother looming. The connection between Van and Julia grows stronger, their love ever present, but there are forces at play, who want to destroy what they have. By the end of this book, it was a nail biter.
Aleatha Romig delivers intrigue and the perfect amount of sexual chemistry to keep you turning pages with Julia and Van’s story just amping up and bringing new and more intriguing twists with each page.

OMG, this one picked up when book 2 ended and it did not stop until the last page. Julia and Van have so many people trying to get in their way of being together but their love will win in the end (I hope it does lol).
I should have known it was going to be a roller coaster ride because that is what this author is known for, she can take you from the highest mountain top to the lowest valley so fast that you feel it in the pit of your stomach. Don't get me wrong, this story is perfect in the best way, it will keep you on the edge of your seat, knowing that you have to know what is going to happen next. And that ending is just, WOW!
Now I need to next book because I have to know what is going to happen. If you haven't read anything from this author, you NEED to. She has a way of pulling you into any of her stories that will leave you wanting more and feeling like you need it too. So grab this one or the whole series and enjoy!

Another great read in this ongoing series! The story drew you right in right from the very beginning, and it was non-stop for us turning the pages. The story was packed with tons of drama and suspense and a lot of mystery that needed solving like answers to the who, what, and why!
So many twists and turns and more is at foot than meets the eye but, it seems like Van's past is finally catching up to him.
Love the chemistry this couple has, they are truly perfect for one another. Julia and Donovan make it easy to love their characters.
I am at the point in this ongoing saga where it's hard to trust anyone anymore or their motives, you have to use discernment and question everything. Like questioning the pearls? How many coincidences does it take before you start thinking something is off, not right, do they have meaning?
Overall, loved it and can't wait to see how everything pans out. I have to say, I was on the seat of my pants the entire time waiting to see what would happen next...

OMG what did I just read?! Aleatha did what she does best and just totally mind-twisted my poor brain into a sloshy mess! This book! I couldn't put it down once I started it and I was constantly yelling at Julia and Van; heck, even at ALEATHA, as I weaved through the twists and turns, trying to figure out who is who they say they are and discovering more secrets from the past.
In order for Julia and Van to make it they will have to overcome many obstacles. If their love is true, and they remain steadfast, they could have a chance. Until we are thrown off the cliff at the end of this book! WHAT IN THE WORLD DID I JUST READ! HURRY UP WITH BLACK KNIGHT!

But seriously, Gold Lust is more than i expected. İts intense! I couldn't let go or put it down to take a break for i was worried what will happened to Julia and Van when i leave them even for a second!
From the suprise revelation from the ending of book one, to all the secerets slowly unravel and the intrigues just keep coming, this book isn't the book you read in between.

This is my favorite of this series thus far! Secrets, mystery, suspense; and, as the pieces all begin to fall into place and the answers slowly begin to unravel, we are met with more questions and intrigue. The intensity is so exciting.
Aleatha Romig leaves us with an explosive ending, adding her delicious nuggets of clues along the way that will have you greatly anticipating the final book. Fantastic!
