Raphael, Archangel of Healing, went about finding the demon mate he was intended for with the same dedication, focus, and purpose he did for anything else. If he was quietly annoyed that he wasn't just given a name and told to get on with it, he didn't mention it often, although he found the dates themselves mentally exhausting. He was almost glad a catastrophe of epic proportions came along to take his mind off his dating problems.

Seir didn't expect to have an angel mate of his own. It's not like he needed one, and from what he'd observed with Haures and Uriel, angel mates could be high maintenance. However, when Raphael asked him out on a date, Lucifer told Seir to say yes, so he did. After being bored out of his mind and then pretty much dumped at the end of the angel's allocated time span, Seir never expected to hear from the angel again.

But remember that catastrophe? It appeared Seir was the one demon who might be able to solve the puzzle, but that meant Raphael and Seir working together. Could there be more between them than one disastrous date suggested?

parts I liked and parts I didn’t

Not my favourite of the series.

I loved Seir, he was really great but Raphael didn’t work for me. I found him uncommunicative a lot of the time and to be honest I’m not sure how the Seir actually thought he was in love with him because Raphael hardly spoke to him at that point. When Raphael opened up I liked the two together, the worked well.

I did like the mystery of the trumpets it was entertaining and showcased Seir’s quick mind and Raphael’s healing nature.

I was intrigued by the set up - fated mates where their first date is horrible. However it didn't really deliver. The angel MC was pretty boring, the was way too much mythology to get through, and the two MCs fell into instalove pretty quickly.

These guys are the 4th pair to be matched to bring Balance to the world and Good and Bad sides. Characters are great. Different take on the Angel, Demon, Heaven, Hell, Good and Bad. Entertaining and enjoyable to read.
Recommend.
Can not wait for the other Archangels get their Demon Mates.

This book was very enthralling. I love the idea of angels mating with demons to bring back some balance. The writing was well done and I definitely enjoyed the plot along with the wonderful happy ending. Excellent. :)

Great story about Raphael, although we didn't really get to find out much about this couple as individuals as there was a greater plot afoot. Looking forward to reading the next two books.

Always good.

I always enjoy the little twist and turns. But what I like most about Lisa's work are they are easy reads. They flow from word to word. She has the ability to convey serious ideas and concepts in simple but meaningful ways.

3.4 stars. This story was actually good and a few unexpected twists and turns made it a fun read. Raphael was not my favourite mc, but Seir made up for it 😉
