Dnf for now and might pick it back up. Many 8th year Dramione fanfics preceded this book in close succession. I think its the wrong time and I couldn’t help but compared the characters and the plot. The 8th year Hogwarts fanfics that I read before this were filled with angst, drama and slow burn.

In this book, Draco was just nice and mild. I get that its a fluff and the only dramatic event was Hermione’s facing the potential of her parents losing their memory forever. Everything in this book is pleasant. The 8th years live in a hall together and have weekly game nights. Everybody is super supportive of one another. Darkness or sadness as well as tension has no room in this book.

No ratings for now. Perhaps I might pick it up again and could better evaluate this book after some time has past and the Dramione 8th year fanfics have slightly faded from my memory

I may need a visit to the dentist ... this story was so sweet. So full of fluff that I really may have gotten cavities just from reading it.

This version's Draco and Hermione may have been a bit too goody two shoes. They were so understanding of one another, there was no real conflict to the story, and no smut! There were quite a few parts where I laughed like a loon and I really needed a light-hearted story like that, but I wish the story had also had some light smut as well. Even one scene would've helped with the fluff-fest going on. There was soooo much fluff that I highly doubt I am ready to continue with the next one.

I’m really glad that I listened to this one. It has so many cute moments that had me grinning ear to ear. April fools day? Made me so happy. I love whenever Draco and Hermione are written so happily. Thank you.

I thought I’d love 100% fluff, however 800ish pages of it is really pushing my limit when there is nothing growing nor occurring. Especially when Dramione lacked slow burn, they got together relatively fast and their relationship stopped growing after that, no spice, no growth, everything felt stilted. I had fun, it just dragged on too long with no purpose.

This was the sweetest fanfic ever. I laughed. I cried! I stayed up too late reading it lol I’m so glad it’s a series now and the last two stories are even longer than the first 🤩

I unfortunately DNF this book at 70% - I may come back to this later though!!

It was actually a great, fluffy story. It follows Hermione, Draco and other returning characters through their 8th year at Hogwarts. It’s well written, incredibly detailed and follows the year along through holidays as markers.

Unfortunetly for me, it is a 210k word story, that has no “stakes” per say. It’s fun because it’s just a detailed story that goes through the development of the relationships between both Hermione/Draco and with other characters.

However it was hard for me to motivate myself to read because I was looking for something with a bit more to sink my teeth into.
