Sean has given up trying to find the woman he’s been looking for. He wants a sweet woman like what his friends have, and he isn’t going to settle for less. When he first spots Ava, he’s shocked. She’s small and beautiful, but the pain in her eyes is what grabs his attention, prompting him to make her world a better place.

Threats against her are what finally bring her to him, but he’s not going to complain. He has her where he wants her, and that’s in his bed. Besides pleasing her, he must first use all his energy to keep her safe from an unexpected enemy.

Two days later... OK, I skim-read the rest of the book but honestly I could do without it.

* * * * *
The hero was presented as a good guy, but I found the way he acted towards the heroine after they met for the first time arrogant and honestly it scared me a bit how obsessed he was... even though he knew how vulnerable she was, he pushed and pushed, a classic possessive caveman I guess, but I've grown out of it at this point I'm afraid. I was here for the kink but I'm out @20%.

Sean had watched many of his friends begin relationships with their own littles and while at times he found it a bit hard, he always hoped one day he’d find his own woman. The moment Sean lays eyes on Ava he knows the small woman is his and his alone. Only Sean discovers Ava’s history is more complicated than he realized – can Sean and Ava find a way to each other?

I enjoyed Ava and Sean’s characters. While in many ways Sean was fairly typical in the daddy trope – just wanting to take care of his little, make the decisions and protect her – it was really Ava to me who shone and made this book really interesting. Despite her near-instant attraction to Sean, she held her ground and didn’t let him walk all over her, Ava laid out her boundaries and even though obviously she lowered her guard to let Sean in, I felt for much of the story Ava did so on her own terms and in her own way. I found this both refreshing and really interesting to read.

Readers looking for an intensely complicated plot might not find this story fits too well with that. While there is certainly conflict and tension surrounding Ava’s safety, I found that this side to the plot was pretty much on the backburner for the majority of the story and didn’t really have a very strong impact for me, personally. That said, I wasn’t upset that much of the story mainly revolves around Ava and Sean building their own relationship and learning to mesh their lives together.

About halfway through the story Ava and Sean became physically intimate – so I also feel this was a good balance for readers looking for a more erotic leaning towards their story. While the Daddy/little kink was certainly present throughout the BDSM is fairly mild and I feel most readers of explicit stories shouldn’t’ find anything too outrageous here.

A well written and good story, I enjoyed this read.

The author kindly gifted me this book and I will be meeting her in just a week! I chose this book because of Ava's job and it's number 17 in the series, but I didn't feel lost at all with getting introduced to characters and the world building that has been created for 17 books prior.

I love that Sean was instantly drawn to Ava the first moment he saw her and he was determined, but patient, to get Ava to warm up to him. He knew nothing short of Ava not being interested in him was going to stop his pursuance of her, and since Ava WAS interested in her own shy way at the beginning, it was great to see him on his path to getting his happily ever after.

I love that Ava was able to build her new life after what she went through with her ex. She got out and was living her life again and that is just an achievement all on it's own. I like that she was cautious with Sean even though the attraction was there because she was leery. Shows that she was still growing as a person.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this and may eventually fall down the rabbit hole to read the other books in the series!

DNF

She’s been physically abused, someone has keyed her car and slashed all her tires and she’s extremely skittish around strangers, especially men.

The MMC comes off as overbearing and pushy. He won’t take “no” for an answer. He wants her and he’ll push until he gets her.

He pushes her out of her comfort zone, which isn’t always a bad thing. However, she was abused by her ex a little over a year ago. The MMC, on the second night of them being intimate, finger fucks her in front of his 2 friends that she’s never met until that day and the day before. I stopped there. He didn’t ask her for permission.

There’s no real talk about boundaries or consent. I can’t remember there even being talk about a safe word. Sean wants to do it, so he will. And of course, as she’s so desperate for love and attention, she’s going to go with whatever he wants.

Sean was a barrel of red flags. I tried continuing to read, but I couldn’t make it through the voyeurism scene with a woman who’d only whispered to men 2 days previously and wore clothing that covered her from neck to ankle. That doesn’t sound like a woman who’d want to get finger fucked in front of 2 men she just met.

Good

It was good . I don't like how Sean made the decision to push her out of her comfort zone and play with her in front of Jace and Mack . He should have given her the option. I don't understand the whole letting other men touch your little for pleasure , it makes no sence to me and obviously this is something the 3 of them have done before . wow who would have thought all her problems were not coming from the ex . I did like that twist

Book 17 in the Daddy’s Little series is just as hot and steamy as the first 16. Sean knows immediately he found his Little girl. However, convincing her is going to be difficult. She escaped a very abusive relationship and has vowed not to ever be involved with anyone again. Sean has to break down those walls. Through a roller coaster of events and challenges he may just get the girl he is not willing to let go of.
