Brooke Landry is a jammer for the Big Easy Bruisers roller derby team. She is the jammer who will score enough points to win the league championship for her team – until Riley Fauchet shoulder-checks her and ends her team’s dreams of glory. In the days following the humiliating defeat, Brooke works herself into a self-righteous snit about Riley and decides she really hates her. When Riley joins her team so she can be nearer her single-mom sister, Brooke decides to take the high road and simply ignore Riley. Then the unspeakable happens, Riley joins Brooke’s real estate company as an agent. Brook can barely stand the way fate is mistreating her.

Rey has written a tightly woven novella that has everything a LesFic romance demands. This is a book you can read in one sitting. The book ends with readers wanting more – not because there’s anything missing, but because Rey has created two strong main characters readers will love.

If you’re a Rey fan, you’ll love this novella as much as you love the author’s other books. If you’re new to Rey, this may be the perfect book to start your love affair with the author’s books because it highlights Rey’s plotting and character-building talents.

My thanks to Bold Strokes Books for an eARC.

Ice on Wheels

I live this short Novella by Aurora Rey. It had angst between the characters. I enjoyed the character development and chemistry. Aurora Rey is one of my favorite authors and will continue to follow anything she rights.
