USA Today and national bestselling author Carol Ross grew up in small-town America right between the Pacific Ocean and the Cascade Mountains, in a place where you can go deep sea fishing in the morning and then hit the ski slopes the same afternoon. The daughter of free-range parents, she developed a love of adventure and the outdoors at a very early age. She’s grateful for the “research material” that every questionable decision, adrenaline-charged misstep, and near-death experience has provided.

Wyoming Rodeo Rescue was such a heartwarming story. Summer and Levi were a great couple! I loved that after a rocky first meeting they worked to get to know each other and a romance started to bloom. Their caring personalities were a big part of why I liked them both so much. But even though they were a great couple, they both had things from their pasts that they needed to deal with and work through in order to make things work for them as a couple and as a family, with Levi’s daughter, Isla.

I think this book could be enjoyed even if you haven’t read the two books before it. The main storyline between Levi and Summer stands on its own. The overarching trouble that is befalling the town is a situation that grows throughout all of the books and we learn a bit more information in this novel.

I enjoyed this story from start to finish and loved getting to know this couple, as well as catch up with the characters from the previous two books.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

I love this Blackwell Series! This was the third book and it was so sweet! The author did a great job of developing the "cast of characters!" Summer is an equestrian rider who appears early to the "rodeo" and finds herself in the midst of preparations and she digs right in, although she was not expected and yet she will take over as the main event of the rodeo! Levi and Summer seem to not hit is off at first meeting. She appears to early for him and she doesn't seem to appreciate his reactions to her being there. But the story continues and you will just love how it turns out. Levi's daughter and Summer seem to hit it off wonderfully from day one and they instantly click. There is some "strife" as ex-wife appears and she and Levi can't seem to agree on what is best for their daughter. But the story continues and you will just love how it turns out. This book is a winner. I couldn't put it down. Can't wait for the next in the series. It just keeps getting better!

I thoroughly enjoyed this next-in-the-series story of the Blackwells! Levi is my kind of cowboy! Honorable, great father, loves his grandma, kind to his sisters, stand-up community man! He's got it all! However, he does bicker with his ex-wife! Well, he does have to have a weakness! He has valid points about her driving him bonkers though! The woman is quite self-involved! He's trying to save his family/grandma's ranch so he's going to rescue the town rodeo. When the star of the rodeo backs out, he doesn't know what to do. Enter Summer Davies! She has a scandal going on in her life right now so heading to Wyoming seems like a great thing! She'll take over as the "star of the rodeo" and hope the scandal blows over! When she arrives earl, Levi doesn't quite know what to do with her! I loved Levi and Summer's banter and ensuing relationship. Levi's 10 yr. old daughter, Isla, is such a bright spot and her relationship with Summer is so sweet!

Loving this sweet and sentimental return to the Blackwell family! With the third book in The Blackwells of Eagle Springs series Carol Ross brings us Levi's story and his adorable daughter Isla steals the show. The characters have great chemistry and have solid back stories to delve into.

Levi is family oriented and loyal and I easily liked him. His devotion to his kiddo was super sweet.

Summer came off as a bit pretentious at first, but as she mellowed out, her true character started to show through. I enjoyed them together.

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone that likes a close knit family who always has some drama going on behind the scenes as each sibling finds their forever love.

Thank you in advance to the author, Carol Ross, for providing a complimentary review copy. A positive review was not required nor requested, and all words are my own.

Here we are – back again in Eagle Springs a third month in a row to check in on Denny’s branch of the Blackwell family. And, this time it is Levi’s story. The cover gives just a HINT of what’s coming – though it will be a wild ride to get there.

This book, and series is connected to the RETURN OF THE BLACKWELL BROTHERS and the THE BLACKWELL SISTERS, and is written the same way – with four other authors – Amy Vastine, Anna J. Steward, Melinda Curtis, and Cari Lynn Webb. Though, in this installment, the only main returning character from the two previous series is Big E – Elias Blackwell. Though, towards the end, the family is mentioned in general.

I got introduced to the series by reading Ross’ Montana Match (The Blackwell Sisters #4), and this definitely holds up the same as that one in terms of continuity and flow.

Since this is the third book of the series, it is best to read the first two – Wyoming Promise and A Wyoming Secret Proposal, to see where the “ranch” story started as there is a continuing storyline outside the romance between the two main characters of the books. Readers will soon find out who Howard is connected to.

Most of the major characters from the first two books return:

👒 Corliss – one of the five Blackwell siblings living on and working The Flying Spur
🥘 Mason – Corliss’ 13/14-yar old son (rarely seen, but mentioned)
🚒 Ryder – former oil rig firefighter, married to Corliss; working ranch; set to become the new fire chief in November
🐎 Olivia – Ryder’s 8-year-old daughter (not seen as much)
🤠 Wyatt – youngest Blackwell sibling
🤠 Levi – Blackwell sibling, former rodeo star, injured
👒 Adele – widowed, mother of twin girls, Blackwell sibling; tends to get arrested on a regular basis
🚓 Sheriff Grady McMillan
🤠 Nash – Blackwell sibling, divorced, has a son
🤠 Big E (Elias) – Denny’s older brother; lives in Montana
📱 Harper Hayes – social media influencer, accidentally married Wyatt
👒 Gran (Denny) – Matriarch of the Eagle Springs Blackwell family, owner of The Flying Spur Ranch

The newest additions/mentions:

🐎 Isla Blackwell – Levi’s 10-year-old daughter, a bit obsessed with Summer; part of a riding club
🐎 Summer Davies – professional equestrian
📱 Theo – Summer’s coach, his aunt Molly lives in Eagle Springs
🐎 Braden Keene – Summer’s “show” partner and “fiancé”
📱Ingrid – Summer’s business manager

This one begins differently from the first two as there is NO DATE listed, but it takes place in October, which is right after book #2.

The first two words – “Lyin’ snake” just drew me in. She’s referring to Braden Keene, her “business” partner. While being with him boosts her social standing, she’s shocked to see a video of him with another woman. And, to top it off – he proposes marriage to her.

She throws the ring in the lake in a symbolic move – her feelings about Braden as well as the ring which isn’t practical for riding.

Levi is a bit worried – the rodeo he’s using as a fundraiser has a main attraction – Trace Baylor – who has to cancel. Levi sold the tickets based on Trace’s appearance.

Levi’s daughter, Isla, is excited to learn Summer is going to replace Trace. He tells her to not get too excited.

But, Summer isn’t the only one he’s worried about. Levi is having issues with his ex-wife, Kylie, when it comes to Isla and the custody arrangement which Kylie is strict on.

Their “parenting” issues are going to be an issue for Summer down the road.

When Summer arrives, she and Levi don’t exactly hit it off. Then again, she and Theo have arrived three weeks early. She is slowly losing her temper – she and her horse cannot be separated. Eventually, it is Isla who comes up with a plan – yup, the Flying Spur. Summer brands Levi a “jerk face”, and Theo tells her she doesn’t have the best judgment when it comes to people. However, she and Isla seem to bond over horses.

Things tend to change when Summer learns that Levi and Isla live in a “barndominium” – “barndo” for short. She’s keen to check out the place. And, she softens about Levi, especially when she learns how important the rodeo is and who it benefits.

She also loves how he tends to rescue animals. She is a bit shocked to learn Kylie left Levi over the “barndo” – it is a place that Summer loves.

Meanwhile, Big E is trying to thwart Howard’s plans for the town and trying to wipe Eagle Springs off the map. And, he’s going to gone as long as it takes. While he and Denny are still “cordial”, there is some softening on the old gal’s part.

Levi and Summer slowly pursue a romance, though she hasn’t told him about Braden, she soon learns something that will affect the rodeo. And, she also learns about her father’s financial issues as well.

Most of the issue with Summer goes right down to the wire. Same with the “town” drama and readers learn the name of the mastermind with less than five pages remaining. Did I state that this was “down to the wire”.

Talk about keeping readers hooked until the very end.

As a result, like the previous two books – this one ends on a bit of a cliffhanger as well, so I will be reading the fourth (4th) book. Ross took off from the beginning and this didn’t linger in any one area, it really moved. And, like the previous series, as well as the other two books – I couldn’t tell they were written by different authors. It was very easy to get into and stay interested, I read it in less than a 24-hour period.

This was at times dramatic, heartwarming (pardon the pun), as well as suspenseful (the town drama). And, Ross gave readers a glimpse into the “contract” deals of celebrities with a touch of realism.

There were a few moments of levity, especially with jailbird Adele. Her comment about jail = sleep, and getting arrested more often to sleep was both amusing and yet a concerning remark. There is someone in town obviously making her a target or using her to make a statement. That’s another reason I’m eager to read the next book.

While I enjoyed the story, I did have a problem with Summer’s attitude in the beginning. She threw the ring in the lake because it was not her style – yet she shunned Eagle Springs because of its lack of facilities and niceties.

I also had a problem with her regarding her take on Kyle and Levi with regards to the visitation and parenting agreement. I get what she was trying to do, and I understood the issues Isla was having about the stress. However, it was hard to see Kylie take advantage of Levi and ignore Isla during “her” time.

She was also there when Kylie just dropped Isla off and headed to Mexico. I understood what Summer was trying to do, but I think her bias as a child of divorce skewed her judgment.

As of note, my parents divorced when I was 4, never saw my father again by his choice. My mother didn’t talk bad about him, but I wished she’d have been a bit more honest.

One thing I LOVE about the Heartwarming line is that it is a clean read which means clean language, and no intimate content.

Those who’ve already read the first two series will probably want to check this series out. Those who have read the first two books, I suggest grabbing this one for the “bigger” story as well.

Fans of the author are sure to enjoy this as well. In addition to the Blackwell books, I’ve read Catching Mr. Right and Second Chance for the Single Dad, and this fits right with her books, and I’ll definitely be reading other books of hers in the future.

A clean and heartwarming read that features equestrian star Summer Davies and Levi Blackwell, who is trying to help save the Flying Spur by starting the rodeo again. Summer is a well known rider who comes to Levi’s rescue by promising to emcee his rodeo. She is a good sport about finding out all the terms she needs to use and even pays more than a little attention to Levi’s daughter, encouraging her to ride in the rodeo. The story was believable and fast paced with lovable characters. I enjoyed finding out more about Levi and I learned a lot about the rodeo and the fancy riding that Summer did.

Another winner by Ms. Ross, and a wonderful Blackwell book. This one is the third in The Blackwell of Eagle Springs. Summer Davis is a well renowned Equestrian rider, but when a moment transpires that is caught on tape it causes repercussions beyond anything she imagined. Theo was Summers confident and friend. He got them out of the lime light, and to Eagle Springs, Wyoming. She was also going to be performing at there rodeo. When she met Levi Blackwell well things didn’t go off very well. Now Isla Blackwell his daughter loved Summer she wanted to offer her to stay by there house. Summer had some things she needed for her horse. Levi wasn’t sure that he wanted his daughter around Summer at all. He was trying to be a good father set examples. His ex and him weren’t always on the same page.

One of my favorite scenes is when Summer does something in the beginning of the book where Braden is concerned, and a pair of shoes she can’t stand. Her words “Buh-bye” well it just made me laugh.

Highly recommend this book and the others before it.

At the bottom I have written all the books in this series. Do check out the other Blackwell Books written by the same authors.
The Blackwell Sisters, Montana March written by Carol Ross, and Return of the Blackwell Brothers which started it all. The Ranchers Twins is the first, and written by Carol Ross, by the way it’s a winner. 😊

Summer Davis, who is a well renowned equestrian rider, just had her life turned upside down by her boyfriend, Braden. She finds out that he’s a cheater and turned down his proposal of marriage. So now she decides to get away from all the drama that it caused. She doesn’t want to lose her sponsors. She heads to Eagle Springs with her friend, Theo and decides to do a rodeo for Levi Blackwell, a handsome, single father of a daughter named Isla. She thinks he’s rude, he thinks she high-maintenance. Things don’t start on a good note.Levi is loyal to his family and would do anything for them, so he lets Theo and Summer park their RV next to his home and corral. That way Summer can practice for her next competition without drama. Isla loves horses so of course she knows who Summer is. She offers to give Isla some lessons. Summer can’t help falling for Isla, since she’s such a lovely child.
Even though Summer never told Levi about her drama at home, she continues to practice, she helps with the rodeo and even show Isla’s riding club some stunts. The children and adults enjoy it. That sells lots of tickets. The more time they spend together, Levi and Summer fall hard for each other. They start to make a plan. What will happen? Will the rodeo become a success? Will the drama make it to Eagle Springs? Will Braden ruin what she found in Eagle Springs and her love for Levi and Isla? Will Levi forgive Summer for not telling him about the drama? Will their love survive? What’s not to love with this couple and Isla. I love this series. Worth the read.

We are back in Wyoming with the Blackwells of Eagle Springs in this clean, sweet romance.
Levi Blackwell is determined to have the rodeo event his grandmother started years ago. This time, it’s to help her with her expenses while also trying to keep her ranch in their hands. But now the main attraction has cancelled and he has no idea what to do.
Summer Davies is a well respected competitive equestrian whose life seems to be managed by everyone else but her. When she sees a video of her boyfriend with another woman and shortly afterwards he proposes, she leaves Kentucky and everything surrounding her life there and travels with her trainer to Wyoming.
Wanting to stay off the radar and away from home, she commits to being the new attraction for the rodeo.
While at first they seemed to clash, Levi’s desire to help his grandmother and Summer having a chance to do something she wants to do, they give each other a chance. As time goes on, Summer’s feelings develop not only for Levi’s sweet daughter but also for him.
But what happens when her past finds her threatening Summer’s and Levi’s present and future?
This was a touching story about family, or lack thereof, second chances in life and love and new beginnings.
A great addition to the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Wyoming Rodeo Rescue by Carol Ross is the third book in the wonderful series called The Blackwells of Eagle Spring. Levi Blackwell is one of the grandchild of Denny and one of main characters of this novel. He wants to revive the old rodeo site in his town; a rodeo his grandmother Denny helped start. He has a deal with a local man to buy the rodeo after having an event.

Enter Summer Davies, a last minute draw for the rodeo. She is not the act he was expecting, a show jumper, but slowly as interest in her type of riding grows, so does Levi’s interest. Only Summer has a background that she is not sharing. Information that could cause some serious backlash.
In this novel about the Blackwells, more information becomes clearer about how someone is trying to buy out the town and flood it under a lake for a fancy resort. There are more leads that "Big E" is going off to explore. This plot is divided over the five books.

I enjoyed Levi and Summer’s growing relationship. I thought Levi's daughter was a hot ticket. I learned about show jumping versus the rodeo, which I found interesting. I liked learning more about overarching plot.

As part of a series, Wyoming Rodeo Rescue by Carol Ross can be read alone, but reading as a part of the series will tie in with the overarching plot. I thought this book was a good read.

Stand-in Celebrity.
Needing to get away from the importuning of her almost fiancée, and to get her head sorted, Summer grabs at the first opportunity to come her way. She doesn’t realise that turning up at the venue where she has been booked to appear two weeks early is an imposition that makes her come across as entitled and high-maintenance. Summer doesn’t take to grouchy Levi either, not one little bit, though his daughter is adorable. However it is the home he built for his family, that opens her eyes to the fact that she might have misjudged him. A sweet story where the two lead characters have to learn some home truths before they can have a future together.
This book can be read as a standalone but readers will probably find it more rewarding if they have read the others in the series, particularly with regard to the underlying villain who is a thread throughout the series.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Another great book in this wonderful series. This story brings us Levi and his daughter Isla and of course the rest of the Blackwell family and friends. We get to meet Summer Davies and Theo and of course Sacha her horse and Braden the ex and her publicist Ingrid. I loved this story especially with seeing Summer and Levi and their chemistry and her love for Levi’s bardonimium and how she treated Isla as well. I wanted to yell at those who were making noise and trouble for Summer and Levi from her ex to her publicist to even Levi’s ex and her new husband, enough already. I also enjoyed Adele and her true crime podcast comments and there is definitely something brewing between her and Sheriff McMillan, definitely going to watch that relationship or whatever they’re calling it, right now it’s just him arresting her and putting her in jail. I liked that Summer and Theo made a decision that will benefit them both and in turn benefit Levi and Isla as well and I loved the ending for the three of them. I was eagerly waiting on Big E’s return from his reconnaissance mission to find out what was going on with Xavier and his big plans to ruin the town I was totally blown away with the information he gave to Denny at the end of the book. I wanted to cry. We have to find a way to save the town. Counting down the days to the next book.

Wyoming Rodeo Rescue by Carol Ross is the third book in the Harlequin continuity series, The Blackwells of Eagle Springs. Summer Davies is a famous equestrian who ends up in Eagle Springs to do an equestrian demonstration and MC at the newly rebooted Eagle Springs Rodeo. Levi Blackwell is buying the rodeo venue in hopes of bringing in his share of the money needed to save his ailing grandmother's ranch. Along the way Levi's daughter Isla and Summer bond and is that smoldering attraction for Summer showing in Levi's eyes?

This is a perfectly-paced, sweet romance filled with lovable characters as well as a few not so lovable ones. I enjoyed traveling along on Summer's and Levi's road to a Happily Ever After. I also enjoyed the fact that the overall arc of this continuity is forwarded with Big E's discovery of who is behind the Blackwell's troubles.

I received an ARC and this is my honest review.

I was not a huge fan of this book in the end. I felt like this book started off strong and then just tapered off. I really liked Isle she was full of spirit but my heart broke for her with the way her parents acted. I liked Theo as well I so wanted more of his story he seemed like he had such a big heart and really cared for those he loved. I found Levi to be a bit of a jerk and he was not my favorite. I did like Summer why she was running from her problems she was also finding herself and how to make a better life for her and those she loved. She was a fighter and would stop at nothing to protect those close to her. This is a clean read and suitable for all readers. Overall while I liked finding out more about The Blackwells this book just was not for me.

Single Dad Levi has a plan to get his allotted money together to save the family Ranch and it is one step forward, two steps back but thankfully he has a star drawcard for the rodeo opening only neither he nor the performer are happy with it. I loved the banter between Levi and Summer as well as the relationship Summer grows between her and Isla add in Adele continually getting in trouble with the law and you are turning the page to see what happens next. Both Summer and Levi get some cold hard truths about dealing with life as well as looking at life differently, but through it all the attraction between the two grows even though we know one person is bound to turn up and try and ruin it all. Bring on the next book to see what happens next!

Another in the Blackwells of Eagle Springs series, in which equestrian Summer Davies needs a time-out after her fake fiance pulls a fast one and proposes when she least expects it. After tossing the ring into the lake--and her shoes, too--she races off to Wyoming to get away from what she suspects will be bad publicity. There she encounters Levi Blackwell and his 10-year-old daughter. Both quickly claim her heart, but she's not into rodeos and at some point she's going to have to go back to Louisville. In the meantime, she agrees to help with the rodeo Levi is hoping will bring in some much-needed money for his grandmother.

But then, the hated fake fiance shows up and so does the publicity she's been fleeing. Will Levi understand when she tries to explain what's going on? And if he doesn't, what's she's going to do now that she's begged him not to talk trash about his ex-wife when his daughter is present. After all, Summer knows how devastating that can be for the little girl. It happened to her, too.

Another great book in The Blackwell's of Eagle Springs Series! I Loved the great connection in this book as The Blackwell family sticks together to save their grandmother's ranch! As Summer Davies is off to Wyoming to escape a scandal and to rescue Levi Blackwell's rodeo/ little does she realize she will fall in love with Levi's daughter and his family! And sparks will start to fly between Levi and Summer! When Levi learns of Summer's past will he still want her help in trying to safe his Rodeo! If you haven't read, you should you won't be disappointed! I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review, and this is my own honest opinion This was a 5 star book it was a page turner!

The third book in the Blackwells of Eagle Springs series was such a sweet story. The author’s storytelling draws you into the pages and provides a visual of the scenery and characters. Levi and Summer are solid leads and Levi’s daughter is adorable. The farm includes a variety of rescued animals, which were an enjoyable addition to the story. I’ve never heard of a Barndominium/Barndo, but now I want one. I recommend this heartwarming story that brings the reader closer to solving the mystery of who wants to put Eagle Springs underwater. There were so many different pieces to the story(line) in this book that I was sometimes confused. Loved Levi and his daughter and their merry menagerie of animal rescues! Summer was a bit much for me at times but she had a good heart and it did come out as the story progressed. Eventually the book gets to the “Blackwell” connection/overall series arc but it took a while. Well written. Good story, just a bit slow for me to get into it.

I love how Summer starts with wishes for spas and spicy sushi rolls and ends up with living in a barndo. The Blackwell siblings are always so interesting to read. Isla is absolutely adorable. Although I'm Frankly getting worried about their ability to deal with this highly personal attack on the town...

Enjoy a story full of family, horses and champions. See how western rodeo compares to Eastern jumping and dressing and realize it is all about the love of horses. Watch the characters interact and read to see if they overcome.

Such a sweet, heartwarming love story! Summer comes to Eagle Springs to star as the rodeo’s main event. She meets Levi Blackwell and as some love stories go, they do not hit it off. I love Summer. Her attitude and words of wisdom are just what Levi and his daughter Isla, need in this story.

This was a delightful story and had all the elements of a Harlequin Heartwarming. I liked all of the characters, especially Summer, a strong independent woman.

WYOMING RODEO RESCUE is the 3rd book in THE BLACKWELL’S OF EAGLE SPRINGS series and it’s so good. Summer is escaping a cheating ex needing time out to make some decisions and, encouraged by her trainer and close friend Theo they head to Eagle Springs for a vacation and to participate in the upcoming Rodeo event organised by Levi Blackwell. Levi is being buried by his own problems of trying to help the family ranch and be the best father to his daughter. Misunderstandings and preconceived notion’s make for an interesting first meeting between Summer and Levi but theirs is truly a meeting of the minds. These two are both stubborn but with the help of the Blackwell family they begin to see the potential for a lasting relationship. This series of the BLACKWELL’S is fun and intriguing with many surprises and the main thread running through each boon of the BLACKWELL’S pulling together to save their legacy and their town. Summer and Levi’s story is unmissable and I appreciate @melcurtisauthor @carilynnwebb #carolross @annajstewart and #amyvastine for creating this wonderful series and wonderful mishmash of family and friends, love and the challenges faced through life.
