It's a basic tarot book. They've added which words like spells in it to make it seem more mysterious, but overall it's just a good old introduction. Most useful are some really creative spreads to experiment with
I've been doing tarot for a long time and usually these books aren't very well done, but this one was not only very thorough, it laid out all the basics in a way a beginner could understand. I loved the pictures and the aesthetic of this book, too. Overall, accurate and beautifully done.
I read the ebook on my Libby app. It gets 4 stars for the cute pictures throughout. I loved the Witchy vibe. I skimmed through the card descriptions. But indulged in all the other words and images throughout. Written very well. I liked it ♡ Might be better to have a physical copy if it's something you want to keep coming back to. I enjoyed a Sunday morning reading the majority of it, enjoying the cuteness. Got me excited to pull my tarot out. So, thanks for that.
I originally picked this book for my daughter who was interested, because the cover made me assume this was a kid book. While it is written in a way for kids to understand easily, it is much more than that. The descriptions are thorough, and there is a spell section, too. My favorite part was the chapter on symbolism in each card. It was written in a way that will absolutely help me to read cards more intuitively.
This is a great book if you're just starting out or looking for ways to expand your practice. I have been reading cards for while but want to become more proficient with them. This gave me new ideas for different readings to better suit the specific situation as well as being a great reference for all the card meanings while I continue to work on aquainting myself with my deck.
I got this book as a gift. As someone just recently learning tarot a lot of it was similar to what I learned in class. It is organized in a great way as a quick reference for card meanings and I may use it to help with memorizing the cards. What I like most and will probably return to the book most for is done if the different spreads and ways to use the tarot cards.
I skimmed this to see if it would be a good library suggestion. It does cover some important topics more than I thought it would, more than just an intro to the major and minor arcana.
