First of all, note that this book is for K-3. I should have known by the number of pages.
The book is divided into two parts: Defense and Offense. Within each category, a two page spread is devoted to each position. Two GOATs are highlighted for each position. Given that there are A LOT of pictures, there really isn't much written information. So little is told about each player that I really didn't understand why they were chosen. Most of the GOATs are from a long time ago and kids will have never heard of them. For example, the selected defensive tackles are Alan Page and Joe Greene, both from the 70s.
My biggest gripe about the book is that the different positions are barely defined and there should have been a drawing to show where each position starts at the beginning of a play. Do K-3 kids know the game so well that they don't need more explanation? Good for them if they do.
