Rate this book
Understanding Antennas from the Ground Up! For something that can be so simple to make, an antenna is remarkably difficult for many people to understand. It’s one of the most important elements of many radio systems, and can make the difference between a successful and unsuccessful system. Basic Antennas is a comprehensive introduction to antennas — basic concepts, practical designs, and details of easy-to-build projects. You’ll learn how to make antennas that really work! This book provides a foundation in antenna theory and design that will be helpful for anyone undertaking more advanced topics, such as those presented in The ARRL Antenna Book for Radio Communications . An introductory book that will get you started with the principles of how antennas work and different types of antennas. Easy to read with reasonably good explanation of the concepts and jargon that you'll encounter later on. It doesn't go into a great amount of depth, but gives you enough background and basic understanding to whet your appetite to learn more.
