Girls that Growl by Mari Mancusi is a great addition to the Blood Coven Vampires series.

This book continues this series in an excellent manner all the while expanding the universe even farther. Our lead, Rayne, grows as a character which is a nice change compared to many YA novels where our leads stay the same throughout the entire series.

Mari explores lycan within this book alongside Rayne's character development. While this isn't my favourite book out of the entire series (this is actually my

“Obviously it takes eight brains to come to one decision in this crowd. Good thing they have one another.”

Wow this book was so much better than the first two. And I definitely feel like I'm an outsider on this series but it's okay I'm going to state my opinion and deal with it. I don't really know how else to explain without spoiling this book/series but I feel like the characters were like 50% better in this book than they were in the first two. It honestly could be because I've read so many f

This is the third book in this series, and although I don't think that it was as good as the first two, it was still pretty good. I like that these series always ends off on a point that leaves you hanging and wanting to read the next book. They give away a little to make you interested, but they don't tell you everything right away. Another thing that I really like about this book is that there is always something that the main character has to fix, or something she has learned about themselves ...more

Rayne McDonald has a complicated life, not that she didn't ask for it. She went through the a complicated process of applying to become a vampire by taking classes, keeping a Blog of her process, and getting her blood tested in order to match her with her blood mate. It wasn't her fault that her dreams of becoming a vampire were destroyed when her assigned blood mate accidentally bit her identical twin sister instead of her. It takes a while, but everything gets back to normal until she finds ou ...more

Review:

I can't say it enough.. I love this series! Another great addition to the series, Girls that Growl is funny, action packed, and of course a whole lot fun with some pretty hot vamps and some kick butt heroines. I just can't get enough.

Long Story Short:

Rayne is now a vampire slaying no powers vamp and she is given a mission, she must become a cheerleader. haha... now that is funny. Something strange is going on with the cheerleaders and boys are disappearing. Rayne is given the task to joi

THIS WEEK MY TOTAL WAS 3HRS 10/10/11
10/18/11-10/22/11 Total for this week is 2hrs and 30 mins.
Rayne gets really sick because she had gotten infected with the disease that the evil vampire was trying to spread and kill all of the vampires in charge so that he could be the leader of all of them. Magnus almost got infected because the guy had gotten Magnus's blood donors infected. If Magnus were to drink the blood then he would of gotten really sick lost all of his powers and die. And dead Magnus

Girls that Growl by Mari Mancusi is my favorite book so far in this series. The book's focus is on Rayne McDonald. This one focuses on her adjusting on being a newbie vampire and don't forget she is still the current Vampire Slayer. Her task on hand this time is to locate missing football players. Dark Goth Rayne must go undercover as a cheerleader to try to understand what is going on in the athletic department of high school. All while dealing with the vampire life, working on her love relatio ...more

As the blood coven series continues...
Does Rayne adjust to being a Vampire Slayer?
Will She help the cheerleaders and or will she
even be able to become one to see what's going
on with them?
Does Rayne begin to grow and learn who she is
and that she really hasn't been a very nice person
after all?
Does her and Jareth make it?
Will Jareth save her or leave her to die?
All these answers and more and then of course
time for book 4 in the blood coven series.

Weird noises from the locker room..

Girls That Growl provides an insight into the teenage vampire mind. Rayne McDonald, a newly turned vampire, has to continue her regular teen life while trying to control her bloodlust.. and tryouts for cheerleading are coming up! Wayne's life just gets more and more complicated. This adorable story is well worth the read and will leave you giggling at teenage angst in all its campy glory.

Heads and tails (har har) better than Boys That Bite. Rayne isn't anywhere near as insufferable as Sunny was and holy crap! She's smart and deep! Yay for substance! Aside from the fact that she could be a downright bitch for no reason other than to keep up her Goth girl image, there's no doubt you get to see her morph into a better person throughout the course of the book. There's more going on in her head than going to prom with some jock guy and she's torn between more than extremely superfici ...more

The Blood Coven- Series is one I enjoyed right from the beginning. The idea of Goth-girl Rayne and how she wants to become a vampire was really interesting but nothing that really stood out of the crowd of vampire-books. And that crowd is big these days.
The Protagonists of this books, Rayne and Sunny McDonald are of course lovely. I mean, the names? Just cute.
When Rayne finally has the chance to become a vampire, things start to go down. The Bloodmate she shall have, the hot Vampireleader Magnu

When we first met Rayne McDonald, she was getting ready to become a vampire, only to have those dreams taken away from her when the guy who was supposed to transform her bit her twin sister instead. Then she discovered that her destiny wasn't to become a vampire but to slay the bad ones. So she then joined Slayer, Inc. to fulfill her destiny, only to have one of her missions bite back -- literally. And the vampire who bit her, Maverick, infected her with a virus, and the only way to be saved was ...more

The narrator talks like she’s walking thru the mall with her best friend, which I find annoying at times. We’re all different, though, and this may be what makes you really like this book.
While the plot was decent and kept me entertained, it wasn’t my favorite read. It’s a short book, so you can probably get thru this in a few hours. I found it somewhat interesting that the author seemed to be sending good messages throughout the book, but then at one point Rayne start smoking, claiming she want

As with the other books in the Blood Coven Vampire series, this one starts out with a recap of the previous book. Yes my friends, that means that even if you happened to pick this book up out of sequence, you'd still know what is going on. Isn't that fabulous? I thought so! Of course you'd then want to go and pick up the other two books before this. I'm sure you'd be craving more Magnus, more Rayne and much much more Jareth. Sexy vampires anyone?

Some spoilers ahead (i read this books while ago)

I started this book with HIGH expectations because I've been loving this series so far, and Rayne is so funny and amazing, and I loved her on Stake That, she's a bad ass girl.

But in this book.... WHAT HAPPEN TO THAT GIRL?!?!
Seriously, I couldn't stand Rayne.
She was all the time talking about herself and her feelings, and she was like: "I hate everyone, they hate me, I hate me, I have no friends..".
Agggh!!

And her relationship with Jareth? Forget
