I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review as part of the book tour hosted by Lovebookstours.

Secret Code Games for Clever Kids is another fun filled book for children from Buster Books. I love this series and the variety it offers to children. I enjoyed doing all the code games I have done so far in this book and actually found it helped me to relax when I was doing them as it focused my mind, time and energy. There's a great mix of puzzles to do such as wordsearches, decoding messages, morse code, Braile and so much more. In the top corner of each page it has a time box for children to log their time doing each puzzle which I found fun too. lI highly recommend this to help exercise children's problem solving and logic skills in a fun way that doesn't seem like work. Can't wait to see what Buster Books puts together next.

I will start off by saying, no I didn’t complete the puzzles 🧩 in this book in pencil ✏️ in case I made a mistake, I simply didn’t have anything else to hand! True story! 😂

I love this puzzle book and now feel like a “clever kid” lol. Seriously though, I have enjoyed picking this up, and completing random code games as a way to destress.
My job can be draining, so having something that doesn’t tax me, has been therapeutic.

The target audience is children between 8 - 12 years old and it’s definitely interactive fun that gets kids thinking, but it’s great for EVERYONE including oldies like myself.

There is a fantastic mix of over 100 puzzles/code games for kids to really get stuck into. From word searches to decoding the musical notes that reveal a secret message. Truly something for everyone. I can imagine kids feeling really proud of themselves when they ‘Crack The Codes’. It’s just great fun.

I love the pages for Notes & Scribbles. Kids can scribble their working out, doodle and even create their own secret codes for other clever kids aka their friends, to have a go at.
And along with the Notes & Scribble section, you have the answers as well as The Secret Code Guide. This guide helps with things like reading the musical notes and even braille! 🎼

It really is brilliant interactive learning fun that encourages kids to put down their tablets 📱and/or controllers. 🎮

I know I’ll be checking out the other books in the series. 🧩📚

Thank you, Love Books Tours & Buster Books, for gifting me a copy in return for an honest review. ♥️📚

I knew this book would be one that would be loved in our house! Though the puzzles are still a little older aged than my Daughter (4), I loved getting this book and working through the codes together. We turned it into our afternoon game, after nursery.
We have loved the wide variety of puzzles, the great graphics to go with each and the descriptions that each code game has.
Ada found some of them tricky, even with help, but the book is light-hearted and fun, which means kids don’t feel they have failed, but more that they are still working on the puzzle. We even solved them on sheet of paper, so Ada could come back to them when she is older, and do them again.
Overall, a brilliant book! We hope to delve into more of this series!

First I would like to say that this is such a good concept and although it says it is for kids, I totally did this book and felt super smart afterwards 🤓.
There is such a good mix of puzzles that it is good for everyone and there is so much enjoyment to be had with a varying level of difficulty and puzzles which really allow you to get stuck in and I loved the inclusion of the notes pages for workings out etc.
I really enjoyed it.
