The yummiest love is that between a child and a parent. This book highlights that love in vibrant pictures accompanied by loving, snuggly and cuddly, memories between child and parent.

This is my first gift to my newborn nephew! With big, smiling bear faces and a touching title, “Yummiest Love”, is a record of how much these bears love their child. It depicts them doing numerous close and common things together but the message is that all of it, mundane and usual, is wholly cherished. The discussion is equally about their wonderment of their child as they marvel at him in the first months and years of his life. This is perfect for my brother and sister-in-law, how they feel and experiences they are savouring with my nephew right now.

Knowing I would wrap and mail “Yummiest Love” before I reviewed it, I made sure to write out how I felt and recorded my favourite parts of this wonderful book. This was published by Lisa McCourt & Laura J. Bryant in 2009, nicely six years before my nephew was born. My favourite view is of the bear and his child raising happy, expressive faces into the snow-flakey air. It is beautiful, heart-warming, and poignant. It snows where we all live too. Snow will certainly feature in my nephew’s activities as he grows.

This scene's accompanying words are very precious. They express how dear their cuddles and snuggles are. Inspiring winter surroundings sparkle and add to the joyous peace that is brightly illustrated. The book is about everyday life scenarios and simple actions that these parents appreciate about their baby bear. The best message, over which I am certain any parent would melt in agreement, is that this bear can't believe how much more he loves his child bear, every day! He loves and cherishes who his son is right now and already loves whatever this special, endearing bear will become. Any book reinforcing and expressing love, is special and important.

Yummiest Love is a very heartwarming book about a mother bear telling her son each and every single thing she loves about him. Throughout the story the mom giggles at each possible flaw and little quirks her son has and she expresses how much she adores him for those little quirks. The mother discussing her favorite activities with her son that she loves such as playing dress up, talking about their days and even telling each other stories. I think this is a great book for young kids because little kids need to be fed unconditional love and praise as much as they can. This book does a great job representing the love new mothers feel for their children and it is great for story reading at any time of the day.

After a frenzied morning of chasing after an active toddler, it’s nice to sit and read together. It’s also nice to be reminded that the little one in your lap is the yummiest love of your life. I think they appreciate it too. Today, for my efforts, I got sloppy wet kisses on my nose for every page that I turned.

Yummiest Love follows a darling young bear cub and his Mommy (or Grandma in my case). Throughout, the little bear is told how much he is loved and appreciated for all his uniqueness. What a loving story to share.

This book reads like a letter that goes on, and on, and on. The verbiage doesn't rhyme but it seems like it should on the page, which makes it last even longer when one is just reading what seems like an endless letter. The illustrations are cute which is why I gave it 2 stars.
