Cadie has lived through hell thanks to an abusive ex. She managed to escape and has been living as a shell of her former self. No matter how hard she tries, she can't seem to get back to the woman she once was. Even if working at a tattoo shop filled with big scary men has been helping her see that the ones who look scary are on her side. Especially a certain large, scary looking biker, covered in tattoos and muscles, who makes her insides tremble with something other than fear for the first time in years. Even after he's gained her trust and somehow inserted himself in her life, the ghosts of the past always come back to haunt you. Unfortunately a certain ghost has been looking for her and is determined to get her back. Marrow knew the minute he saw the tiny sprite of a woman in Edges office that she was somehow going to own him. The shadows in her eyes told him of a past she barely survived. Patience and persistence pays off when he finally gets a chance to let her see the real him,not the scary man he appears to be. Too bad the past didn't stay where it belonged. Now he'll have to be every bit the frightening man Cadie originally thought he was just to protect her. He may have failed his sister, but he'll die before he lets anything happen to Cadie. You don't mess with what's his, he's a Rebel for a reason.
Nikki Mays is a pen name that was created from her maiden name. She is a wife and mother, who lives in a small town in New Jersey. She has been with her husband for well over a decade and is surprised that he's still alive. She has 3 small boys that she loving refers to as her hellions. Seriously, they only look sweet and innocent. She began writing as a creative outlet after becoming a stay at home mom. She decided that she needed something exclusively for herself, not just being mommy. She has two crazy boxers that legitimately think that they're humans but graciously share "their" couch with the rest of the family. Besides writing and spending time with her little hellions, she enjoys cooking and baking. She has recently taken up gardening and made her loving husband plant her a mini fruit tree orchard, that unfortunately deer get to eat more of than she does. Life living in the woods can be a pain at times! Nikki loves to be stalked by her readers and encourages all interaction.
I loved this one. It was funny and had some really good moments in it. Marrow was just amazing and Sprite what a cute nickname. Can't wait to see what comes next!
Cadie Is running from an abusive ex and found a safe place to try and get her life back on track. While working at a Tattoo shop with big burly bikers and highly encouraged to take self defence classes she works hard to find a small part of who she use to be.
Marrow, is in love with Cadie but she isn’t ready for a relationship so he makes it so she can’t do without him.
Together there fragile friendship turns to a relationship that must survive her ex. A great read, laugh out loud moments.
Funny, sexy and in your face spectacular. This new MC series is full of great characters. Laugh out loud dialogue and a story about overcoming the past to find yourself again.
“Did you just call me a sprite?” I huff.
“They’re the same thing. Sprites are a form of fairy.” He shakes his head. “No, they’re not. They’re completely different.”
Cadie has come a long way but is still skittish after her abused past.
Marrow is bound and determined to work his way past her defenses. He is patient and oh so careful.
“Whatever you say, Jake from State Farm.” She giggles as she makes her way to the door of the gym and goes to grab the handle.
“She wouldn’t stab you.” Her giggles sound like a wind chime on a summers evening.
This is one of those series you just can’t wait for more!!
I love, love, love big heroes falling in love with pocket-sized heroines! Marrow has to play the long game when he meets Cadie. Escaping an abusive relationship, her PTSD is riding shotgun with her at all times. After some time she gets stronger and can actually talk to Marrow. He follows in his friend Edge's footsteps and arranges to be around her on the regular. Before she knows it, she is practically living in his house. Watching these two become a couple was so flipping entertaining, I didn't want it to end. Marrow really takes care of Cadie, stopping at nothing to make sure she is finally completely free from the past. Funny and sweet with a little dash of karma, I have to give this 6 stars!
Cadie and Marrow were sweet and sexy together. The story is funny and sweet and I loved how everyone took care with her understanding she needed space and time to trust again. Her parents were hilarious and I loved the little visits by some of the other characters.
Oh Nikki Mays is brilliant. I cant get enough of her books. Marrow and Cadie are just perfect, she's such a strong character after all shes been through shes still sweet and Marrow is so sweet and gentle but still an alpha badass. Written so well I couldn't put it down, it has everything you could want in a good story that you read over and over. 5star read.
This was a wonderful book about a courageous woman putting her life back together after escaping a horrendous relationship. There’s not much detail about her past, but the hints are enough to realize that she barely escaped with her life. It’s hard to imagine how you can ever recover completely from something like that, but having a gentle giant like Jake (Marrow) there by your side, making you feel safe, can help the process along. Cadie was understandably wary at first, but her interactions with Edge and some of the other men at the tattoo shop had already shown her they were all good at heart. I loved how she slowly came out of her shell, with flashes of the woman she was before, like her sassy talk with Xander. Like many of these big, burly bikers, Jake was a pussycat at heart and I loved everything about him. The one thing that spoiled the book a bit for me was Cadie’s ex, though his appearance was mercifully brief. He was just so OTT that he was almost like a parody of evil, abusive boyfriends and honestly, I would have preferred if he’d just been dealt with off-page. Cadie has escaped a seriously abusive situation and now lives above and works for the tattoo shop below. Her boss and the others she gets to know are part of the MC and their other businesses. One is Marrow, Jake, who runs a security company and is into high tech. Cadie is very skittish and Marrow knows to keep her protected while giving her time and safety. Loved the characters and the way he interacts with her. It was great that they were both into cooking shows and the little things that made her smile and cry, like a simple apron. The storyline has great dialogue, internal and spoken, with awareness and believable assumptions. Great way to get her abuser off her back. The mother was a hoot and all the guys respected her. Lots of unexpected and entertaining situations from a friend's birth to interviewing another abused lady and giving her a shot. Terrific book and can't wait to read more.

This is a great book. It may be difficult for some to read because it deals with domestic violence. But it is told in such a way that you know the abuse was in the past and the girl is in a safe place now. Cadie is still suffering the result of much abuse at the hands of her ex. She is working at a tattoo studio as a bookkeeper. Jake (Marrow) is the best friend of the shop owner. He works so hard to create a safe place for Cadie that she can't help but fall in love with him (Jake). The only thing I didn't like too much was all the women were mad, angry, or figuring out ways to punish the guys around them. That could have been toned down some, but it didn't stop me from enjoying this book. It is a steamy read, I wouldn't recommend it for those under the age of 18. You won't regret getting this book ;)

Deep in her Marrow is MC lite, but so very much a fantastic read. Cadie has found a new life after leaving her abusive Ex and is now working in a tattoo parlor with a great cast of characters. Their camaraderie will have you chuckling throughout the book. And even though Cadie has tried to move on, she still suffers from nightmares and tries not to be seen. However, Marrow sees her, especially when Cadie lets loose the spunky, sassy person she used to be. If you love over protective heroes that aren't afraid to make mistakes, you won't be able to resist Marrow and his friends.
I really enjoyed reading this book. This book is about Cadie and Marrow. The humor is wonderful!! Once I started reading this book I had a hard time putting it down. I enjoyed the chemistry between the characters and was cheering them on. I would recommend reading this book/series!.

This had several grammar issues, typos, their/they're, it's/its, and more. The writing style was amateur at best. I am so surprised this has so many good reviews.
Thank you Nikki for sending me a copy of your book to read and review.
I really enjoyed reading this book it had a really telling story line that you could read easily and seriously enjoy. This is book 2 in the Rebel Chasers MC series.
Marrow is a part of the Rebel Chasers MC And owns his own security business. He is huge but has the kindest of hearts and is always willing to help anyone out especially the very beautiful Cadie.
Cadie is on the run from her ex who used to abuse her. She has one hell of a story and One that she keeps close to her chest. at first she is very skittish around men all men especially the very sexy Marrow.
the chemistry between these two is wonderfully hot. I loved seeing how the connection between them brought Cadie out of her shell and helped her become more of her old self.
this was a really enjoyable read and I can’t wait to read more of your work Nikki.
My Overall Rating is 4 💋💋💋💋 My Passion Rating is 4 💋💋💋💋
This is one of my favorite authors and her series are amazing! All of them!
I like her Heroes and even more her heroines! The book is romantic, safe and funny. I’m spanish so it’s complicated for me, laugh from a book written in english, but this author always makes me laugh! There’s always a crazy ladies gang, OTT protective and possessive Heroes with a lot of patience with heroines because some of them are domestic violence victims, just like in this book. This is supposed to be an MC series but there’s no reference to that lifestyle wich is ok with me, It’s a slow burn book and the sex doesn’t start until 60% of the book.
It’s always a pleasure read a Nikki Mays book and I’m intrigued who will be the next couple, I hope is Xander and the new receptionist!!! A hero with demons too…
Cadie wants nothing to do with men, ever. After escaping her abusive ex, she just wants a job and somewhere safe to live. When she’s offered an office position in the local tattoo parlor with an apartment above, she figures she’s set. What she doesn’t count on is security expert Jacob “Marrow” Porter. Can she open her heart to love again?
Marrow has been attracted to Cadie since he first met her but has kept his distance since he knows about her abuse. When she needs a place to cook for a party, he offers her his kitchen. He’s got hopes, and they include him in her life. Can he convince her to give him a chance and open her heart?
I really do like the intention of this series ( or rather... all of the linked series ). Some of them are more hits than misses.
I did like Marrow and the way that he approached Cadie. I think that I needed more of a back story... but, I guess thems the breaks when it is a quick read. I liked that he was hooked on the GBBO... sweet!
Too many glitches tho... for example: 'ridged' when it should've been 'rigid'... 'isle' when 'aisle' was the word that was needed. Frustrating cos it really does take away from the read.
I absolutely loved this book. Marrow big giant part of an MC but underneath all that a teddy bear. Cadie a short abused woman who is still hiding from her abuser. Cadie so hurt by her past and here is Marrow wanting her. Watch as Marrow and Cadie navigate a relationship that Cadie has no idea she is in. Join in for romance, laughs and just a great time by all. I highly recommend this book and all others by Nikki Mays.
Another great MC read. The storyline was intriguing, entertaining, and a little emotional at times. Loved the characters,Marrow and Cadie. I especially loved Cadie as she finds herself and her safe place, and her feistiness comes out. I loved the all the guys a lot with their individual personalities, and can’t wait to read their stories(hopefully). This book was lighthearted and sweet, but had its dark moments as well. Overall a great read.
Loved this book! Loaded with humor and laughter as I’ve come to expect from Nikki Mays’ books. Yet still tackling the tough subjects. It’s beautiful watching Cadie grow and flourish with the love and caring of Marrow. And getting to visit with some old friends is amazing!
Love it. As always i was swooning from the beginning until the end. The story and the characters will drag you along with them in an amaizing experience. Is a quick read with the perfect elements to fall in love. Definitely a must read.
Marrow and Cadie are hot hot hot. Nikki Mays is knocking this series out of the park. You’ll be on the edge, laughing and totally sucked in to this book. Marrow helps Cadie overcome her abusive past and to truly feel safe in her new life.
This was such a great story that I'm not sure I can do justice in a review. It has some sensitive issues in the story which are so well written. It has the perfect mix of everything. It was a such a great story to read.
I really enjoyed the story , that being said I don’t understand the angry women though. The end of the book has the women so angry about things that to me are no reason for it. I can understand feisty or a spit fire, but they are unreasonable. It could just be me though.
Such fun and sweet read! Love this book so much . what wonderful delightful group of characters. I giggled my way through this fantastic read. Love Marrow and Cadie!
More like3.5 stars! Pretty good and it kept my intersect and I really enjoyed the characters! It just seemed repetitive and started to read like other novels with this trope, but it was still good!
